Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Firawla · 15/01/2011 16:11

sleepyowl i have been eating potato waffles too, its always my favourite food in pregnancy, hardly ever think to buy them otherwise but as soon as im pregnant i need them Grin they are great!

LouBeee · 15/01/2011 16:32

Littlebeaut - teasmaids are back in if you really want one - John Lewis sell them! We are doing some building work to our house soon (yes it's going to be a relaxing year!) and putting one of those instant hot water dispensers in the new kitchen. FIL was so confused at the thought of instant hot water and my refusal to have anything as retro as a kettle that he sent me the link to the teasmaid as a request for the spare room - was fine by me so that's what he's getting I'm all about compromise ;-)

MrsChemist · 15/01/2011 18:34

I've bought potato smiley faces Blush

nickstermum · 15/01/2011 19:46

PMSL at the waffles, smileys and fish!!

I am into white bread and plastic ham sandwhiches... my luvverly friend made us a curry again tonight, just mild but i think am gonna suffer tonight! I too have gone right off fish!

sisterT · 15/01/2011 19:51

Waffles..............mmmmmmmmm......... I can justify them as a different food group to my fishfinger sandwich bread, can't I?!!!! I think I'm getting my pickle-fix from tartare sauce but beetroot sounds strangely appealing too.........wanders off to add to shopping list.

nickstermum · 15/01/2011 19:56

Grin @ pickle fix !

kathpeak · 15/01/2011 20:37

I have a crazy desire for plastic cheese slices. Usually I can't stand plastic cheese.

coastgirl · 15/01/2011 20:47

I will eat anything carby and white! We never have white bread but it's been like heaven to me.

We had Indian takeaway tonight and I demolished a giant lamb biriyani - only to find that when I sat down afterwards, instead of a nice full feeling, my stomach started rumbling! How is this even possible?

coastgirl · 15/01/2011 20:49

Also, I find it fascinating that we all want processed bland stuff - the pregnancy books can go on about wholegrains all they want but the babies want what they want Grin It's so not how I usually eat, but give me Ritz crackers and cheese spread and I'm happy.

Leilandri · 15/01/2011 21:11

So totally with you all on the eating and the processed foods.
Made my DS tea today of chicken dippers, smiley faces and veggies. Bunged in a few extra dippers and had them in a white bread sandwich with salad cream - Mmmmmm. Followed by Fajita's for tea, half a box of milk tray, and am now taking cheese, crackers and various pickled products upstairs to enjoy in the bath!! It's non-stop, lol Blush

nickstermum · 15/01/2011 21:51

OMG i feel like i fit in.....

White bread and shit!

I am soooo bad... cannot stand the thought of brocolli, or veg or anything healthy why is all i want white iced buns, donuts, white bread and plastic shite?! poor thing

Who else was farting for england? Yup that too Blush

Fish finger sandwhiches are yummy though...on white!!

Havent yet thought about labour/birth still not associating with a baby....! 1 week and 1 day to go til scan :)

LittleBeaut · 15/01/2011 21:58

Ooooh I have 6 sleeps to my scan. Not sure if its excitement or nerves I just want it here. Suppose I want to see my mums face while we're there too Hmm

My tea tonight was mini cheddars with squeezy cheese on... I dont even know where or when I get the squeezy cheese and its not something we usually have in Confused followed by a HUGE bag of jelly babies mmm...

I now want a fish finger butty and sure if I could stop my arse from giving my sofa some loving I would go make one.

nickstermum · 15/01/2011 22:20

Im terrified of my scan!

In blind denial at the moment, sometimes thats a kinder place to be!

Feel effing shite after we all had the swine flu jabs yesterday. DS has had a temp, my arm feels like its about to drop off...and ive been tearful all week over nothing in particular...WTF??? Confused

LittleBeaut · 15/01/2011 22:26

Aw nicks thankfully I dont think I have to have the flu jab, and if your all a little off it, it must be horrible for you. Just take it easy on yourself chicky, which I know is hard when looking after others. Your arm probably just need gentle excercise... try lifting a maltester or jelly baby up to your mouth with that arm every now and then, you will find a huge difference in no time I bet Grin

I've been quite tearful too for the last few months and think I'm taking alot of things the wrong way - ooopsy!!

MrsStevo · 15/01/2011 22:46

damn you littlebeaut, now all I can think about are jelly babies!!! Would send DH out to get me some - "the babies neeeeeeed them" - but all the shops are shut! Angry

MrsStevo · 15/01/2011 22:48

Also, is anyone else finding that time is actually STANDING STILL!!! I swear I've been 8 weeks pregnant for about 5 weeks now. I sooooooooooooo want things to hurry along and get to 12 weeks already! Not impressed with sonographer lady putting my dates back a week and a bit [impatient face]

Firawla · 15/01/2011 23:11

oh no now i really want the jellybabies too, or starbursts.. hmmm doubt dh will go though as its too late :( we've only got chocolate in, no sweets, but i dont fancy the choc

mrsstevo its going a bit slow for me, but i think if its your first it drags out even more, although with twins your not likely to go very overdue at least, to drag it out even further

nickstermum im opposite, already keep thinking about labour, having baby etc. im quite looking forward to labour really, what a weirdo lol

MrsChemist · 16/01/2011 06:52

Firawla I'm quite looking forward to labour as well. While my last birth experience was broadly positive, there are a few things I was unhappy about, and now I know what to expect (sort of) I'll plan better next time.

MrsVidic · 16/01/2011 08:39

waves to nickstar, what hospital are you going with. I was at leighton last time but its 40 mins away so i'm wondering weather to go with another, as i wasn't happy last time. Basically as i was a first timer, they thought i'd take ages and spent no time with me and it was only when the next shift came on they realised i was about to deliver. I had only been there 4 hours. Anyway, i am with the bread people, although the heart burn kicked in last night. My last preg felt like it took forever, this one however is flying by. I suppose it because i know what to expect and what i need to do before baby arrives. Like potty training

LittleBeaut · 16/01/2011 11:17

Blush All I want is spag bol for breakfast. That is surely not normal?? I keep thinking... what about toast - baby says nah!! Cereal/poridge - baby say nah!! Oooh bacon sandwich - baby says nah!! Its knows what it wants and it wants spag bol... I'm going to wait till 12pm and give in its technically not breakfast then is it??

coastgirl · 16/01/2011 11:19

I had one breakfast at about 8 then followed it with a second breakfast of leftover curry at 10.30. And it was bloody delicious Grin

LittleBeaut · 16/01/2011 11:23

In that case coastgirl I'm off to the kitchen now then Wink my tummy is rumbling soooo much!!

LittleBeaut · 16/01/2011 11:33

{{Skips off to kitchen with a big cheesy grin on face}} tee hee

nickstermum · 16/01/2011 11:53

Mrs v cannot comment on Cheshire hosps, I went to macc, live in congleton. Macc was shite, bad labour! Am however going back as when I mc they were pretty fab! North staffs is supposedly brilliant with birth pools in the rooms etc.

Can't think of baby yet due to mc last pg at 12 weeks hence... Terrified!!

Wants jelly babies
Wine gums
Settle with tootie fruities :)

JenniL1977 · 16/01/2011 12:53

Just to say ladies, do NOT believe Kingsmill's lies. 50/50 is not the same as processed starchy carby white bread. Dammit!
