muse i really think with your rib/back problems you should be taking an executive stance on the whole shifting furniture thing.

meds too early for hippo birthing cds for me but if its going after you finish with it (ie: after zen like polite sneeze birth experience) then I wouldn't mind a go. That is unless my friend and i go halvsies on the one muse recommended.

A man has come to fix gutters and clean them too, result.

rocketleaf · 12/01/2011 10:37

Great scan news lady!! its a weight off isn't it! funny as TB used the exactly same Ice Cube quite after ours on Monday :o

Medee · 12/01/2011 11:14

Hurrah for excellent scan news, LadyGG!

Thanks MsFC, shall drop you a note via FB mail at lunchtime. And of course, Rocket, I?ll give you first dibs on it here, and continue the great PESHly cycle of stuff.

laurielou · 12/01/2011 11:16

LadyG that's lovley scan news. Its such a relief, isn't it? Mr Loz & I barely speak during or after the scan. Nothing sinister, just concentrating, taking it all in, then digesting it.

Muse I think your furniture shifting role should be more of a supervisory one too. I love having new carpets though.

Bug seems a bit happier today. After yesterday's vom-fest & feeling generally bleurgh I think (s)he was feeling quiet & blue in sympathy. Of course I did have a sneaky glass of champers on Sun to celebrate good freind's 40th, so Bug may have been hungover Shock. Today however (s)he is wriggling around like mad. Mr Loz & I are lazy - we can't have an energetic baybee Grin

ginhag · 12/01/2011 11:19

oh, also meant to say, I am not watching OBEM as, well, I don't really want to... but those of you who are, please don't assume that giving birth in hospital rather than mw led unit automatically means you'll a) be on your back and b) be destined for a worse labour than those who have managed to avoid consultant led care...

because a) that won't always be the case and b) it's not entirely helpful for those of us who are having hospital births :)

I don't have the choice of a lovely mw led unit. However, I fully intend to sneeze out my baby in whatever position I feel comfortable, held up on a cloud of mellow hippobirthy vibes :)

lorry glad you feeling better.

rocket what muse said.

Muser · 12/01/2011 11:20

I shall only be moving small things, and some stuff will be left for the carpet men to shift around the place. Don't worry.

Fab scan news LadyG, so pleased for you.

ginhag · 12/01/2011 11:23

Oh and Grin Grin Grin Grin to ladyg... ace news!

Ivegotmrbitey · 12/01/2011 11:39

Oooh ladyGG just thought you are passed the twelve weeks now! I have to wait until stupid tomorrow! So tell me, has the blooming begun already? Was it immediately obvious when you stepped into the thirteenth week?

I taped* OBEM and am going to watch it in my lunch break today, then am, going to sit down with my head between my knees and tremble until the foot dragging one comes home.

Oooh yes, have already mentioned in the palace, but my radiographer friend brought me pictures of my baybee last night! They don't give you print outs in the EPU but she is kind and good and got them for me anyway! We think she is a shebaybee for no good reason other than as 10.5 weeks 'she' is very very pretty! Get a date for the twelve week scan today hopefully. I can't wait!

*when I say "taped", I recorded it on BT vision but that is too long to type, and won't say I sky plussed it as I don't have sky due to Rupert Murdoch related hatred bias. Is easier to say taped!

Ivegotmrbitey · 12/01/2011 11:41

Apologies for spelling, grammar and over zealous use of commas above. Blush Am still uncertain whether should have used passed or past, there seems to be something wrong with my brain!

rocketleaf · 12/01/2011 11:47

You are past, you have passed. HTH Wink

Blooming? Massive fucking LOL. I would be blooming if it weren't for the lack of sleep and the gall pain. Having said that I don't feel sick any more, headaches are minimal and I feel 1000% better than I did at 11 weeks, although that might be the lack of having a job and general workshyery. I think it took me til about 12= weeks to really get over the MS but like I said that line is a bit blurry as thats around when the gallstones kicked in.

Gutters are done, I think a return to bed might be in order. :o

rocketleaf · 12/01/2011 11:47

that should have been 13+ weeks

Orchid12 · 12/01/2011 12:00

Lady great news Grin. Am v. v.v. v.v happy for you!

Rocket get thee to bed - now! That's an order - you need to get your rest whilst you can Smile

Sorry to hear about the ribs and so on. Will all be worth it, but doesn't help for now I know.

Bitey lovely news re the photo's. Glad your wee baybee is making you smile.

Nothing to report here. Not been sick for two days - yey! (and I managed to stay awake until 10pm last night - oh yes!)

Ivegotmrbitey · 12/01/2011 12:02

Thanks radicchio Smile Does this mean the grammar centre of your brain also returns in the 2nd trimester? How are the gall stones now?

Scorpette · 12/01/2011 12:05

YAY for fab scan news, LadyGG Grin You just don't realise how worried you'd got until afterwards, do you?

LadyGoneGaga · 12/01/2011 12:33

Thanks for all congrats! Grin Is defo good for the menkulness.

They moved dates forward to 24th July, Biteme so am now 12+3, which I don't entirely believe being an avid charter, I suspect am just brewing a big baby. Oh well. Have stopped feeling sick as much but am still an uninteresting grey colour so think am yet to bloom. Not sure whether I bloomed last time or just got fatter - suspect was the latter!

10pm, Orcs - you party animal, you! Is a time I haven't seen for some time. Poor MrG strating to get a bit lonely I fear.

rocketleaf · 12/01/2011 12:37

They are fine today thanks biteme They were bad yesterday for some reason, I must have eaten some crap despite trying to choose good things. Either that or I am allergic to work as per my post of last night. If ONLY I could get a doctors note for that. :o

And sorry I forgot to say thanks meds I might be getting a freebie one of the MW so if I am I'll let you know so another PESH can benefit from the great ESH library.

Right I am off for some healthy lunch (boring!) and then a nap,

kimdeal · 12/01/2011 13:23

Medee - snog - and, snortheheh, as luck would have it I have a VBAC hippo-birthing CD, alas it doesn't come with the non-. As I discovered during my non-non stage 2. Despite rational mind, I do think ze hypnoburfin helps with hippos mind (such as wot mine was).
Scorpolicious I am so blummin chuffed for ya grrrl. The nice hag filled me in on your impending mini-scorpodude.
As for you Polly, woo-hoo, well done!

And to all the suffering Peshes, I send sympathy, steak tartare and a round of virtual parma ham (and a Beshy stilleto scrape to the shin seeing as have been outta the loop).

Right back to work - have been trying to work (at home) while junior naps (like now)... not a bad strategy, but explains my AWOL.

kimdeal · 12/01/2011 13:25

Sorry that bit about rationality and hypno-birthing makes almost no sense. Grin
I go now.

Scorpette · 12/01/2011 13:35

Also shamelessly putting in an advance blag for hippo freebies when the time comes [grovelling emoticon]

If I've done so before, forgive me: headaches + babybrain = ficko 'Pette Blush

Awww, poor old TYF has had his toof out and says it was all black and stinky underneath the gum (Dentist apparently waggled it in his face after removal). My bwave soldier!

I actually tried my preggo yoga DVD today (have only had it 5 weeks without unwrapping it, ahem) but it is so fucking woo. Trouble with woo-merchants urging you to get in touch with your inner self, is that my inner self is someone Frankie Boyle would find too misanthropic and black-hearted. I adore The Lad already and would kill for him, so don't need over an hour of some hippy urging me to connect with the Great Mother of All Creation or whatever it was before I turned it off in exasperation.

Also, their 'no-fail' yoga cure for pg headaches is, apparently, breathing deeply and trying to relax. HAHAHA... fuck off. What would be their tips to avoid them - try not to hit yourself repeatedly in the forehead with a claw hammer? Hmm

Am grumpy today, can you tell?! Grin

Scorpette · 12/01/2011 14:00

Ohhh, grumpiness has lifted with words from the world's great bass player (ie Kim) Grin

The Lad will indeed be full of Scorpitudinal goodness, as TYF is also of that astrological persuasion (not that we really believe any of that guff). I am coming to terms with the inevitable fact that I will be the most ridiculously evil lioness-style muvva (woe betide the brat that tries to bite my angel at Tumbletots, etc.) and MIL from hell.

Hippo stuff appears woo on the surface but hippoferrapy has been proven medically to work and exist and that the power of the mind is mighty indeed.

My word for the day is 'woo'. Woo, and, indeed, hoo!

kimdeal · 12/01/2011 14:01

Haaah scorps - yeh, I had this truly awful breathy-woman hypno cd - so bad I cldn't listen to it. £16 quid down the loo. No point sending it to you since am guessing you wld hate it too. (Tip: it's the one that is listed as an NTC top-seller.)
But I did do one of those hippobongo birthing courses = excellent. Still, ended up having a crash C-sec, but stage 1 was a breeze...
Well done for trying your yoga DVD. All I have done is to consider buying one. Still haven't done any yoga and am 7+ months post-birth.
Did eat one family bag of black-pepper kettle chips per day when junior a new-born. Sometimes two . Does that count?
I am sorry that your boy has a stinky, black and rotton gum.

kimdeal · 12/01/2011 14:04

NCT, sorry.
Also, this was a weird cross-post since I wrote after yer message. big big love.

kimdeal · 12/01/2011 14:08

Scorpolioness - since you are open to nu ideas: take a look at this really old book by one Grantly Dick Read (ho ho) - I had the original early 1960s one from my muvva - if there's one burfin book that's worth reading, etc:

www.amazon.co.uk/Childbirth-without-Fear-Principles-Practice/dp/0953096467

kimdeal · 12/01/2011 14:14

Actually he may have written it in the 1950s, if not 40s - seems so long ago since I was lumpin where you're a bumpin. Or something. RIGHT, really going now. Goooood luck and thinkin of ya all.

Ivegotmrbitey · 12/01/2011 14:16

OOOh I lufff a WooWoo scorps is my cocktail of choice in the summer when I don't fancy a cosmo!

I think my baybee growing a backbone has helped me rediscover mine and I have complained to HR about their rubbish treatment of me including the failure to respond to my previous complaint. My union backing me is also helping quite a lot! Bring on the lioness-ing I say! Baybee will be a Leo and I am an Aries and if I believed in any of that shite I would think two fire signs are a force to be reckoned with!

Glad you're better today rocket but rubbish about last night. Do you want me to write you a note? I'm not a doctor by the way but will happily sign you off?
