CC that's very pretty.

ChoChoSan · 13/01/2011 20:08

Hi pols...no I didn't see your SIL FB post...must have dropped off the bottom Blush ...I'll go and look now....

Muser · 13/01/2011 20:28

Take the holiday Pooster!

rocketleaf · 13/01/2011 21:00

curly that is so kind of you, thank you! I feel I shouldn't be greedy tho as my cousin has also offered me load of stuff, as her daughter is just out growing all her 0-3 month stuff now (I am so lucky!) I also love that lampshade, might have to copy you as it would go so well with what is becoming a bit of a bird theme in here.

I'd say go for the free holiday pol never look a gift horse and all that. We are just trying to sort out a last minute dot com holiday to the canaries in feb half term, me, mum, my sis and her eldest daughter (11) i think it should be lots of fun!!

PollyPoo · 13/01/2011 21:12

I am sorely tempted to go on hols - especially if nice SIL agrees to go too. Apparently MIL has offered to take her and her two bambinos too! I would so love a 'hot' holiday. TG does not do the sun so I haven't been abroad since 2003. Sad

Does anyone want my copy of the Marie Mongan Hippo birthing book and CDs? Not promising I will get them to the post office immediately but if you are not in a rush it should be ok. Just pm me or let me know on FB. Smile

Scorpette · 13/01/2011 22:35

Take the freebie holiday, Poosticks! Bit crap that TG doesn't do the sun - could he not make an exception for BB's first hols? Think it will do you the power of good, bit of sun and for barely nuffink Grin

PS have PMed you.

rocketleaf · 13/01/2011 23:04

ok, i have a blog it's only young so please be gentle with it.

Scorpette · 13/01/2011 23:23

I read it earlier, Rockinghorse (but it wouldn't let me log in to become a fan). It's verh good; when I am a squillionaire, you must be my secret lover personal interior designer 'm' craftsperson. Grin I mean, if you want, like. Will pay above minimum wage (at least £6 ph) and ev'ryfink!

CluckyKate · 14/01/2011 08:26

Congrats on the mat leave Cho - hope you're treating yourself to a lovely lie-in before the very serious business of mooching about starts.

We never bothered with a room thermometer and the baby still lived. We did use blackouts though.....wasn't such an issue this time of year but was tricky to get LC to bed in broad daylight in the summer & keep her asleep much past 5am once the sun came out.

SHIT - I'm 2nd on the list Shock....how the heck did that happen Confused

PollyPoo · 14/01/2011 09:08

Scary how that happens eh Clucky?!

Well today is a good day PESHes! BB has taken like a duck to water having a bottle of EBM from TG at 10pm, so for the last two nights I've been in bed and asleep before TG brings her up. This has meant only 2 wakes in the night. Ok, the last one was at 5am and she didn't go back down until 7.30 due to wanting both boobs but that has meant that I'm showered, dressed, wearing MASCARA (yes, really!), breakfasted and have the washing on. TG looked at me and asked where was his wife and who is the imposter. Grin

On the downside, the lovely glossy curls I had during pregnancy have now left me. My hair now resembles a scratchy scruffy thatch with a few curls but mostly frizz. Sad

How is everyone today? I hope you are getting a lie-in Cho. Smile

wow pol that's fast work, so glad to hear she is being a good little bird. How is big sis now?

clucks that is my worry, as she is due just before mid summer so very short nights, just gonna play it by ear tho and will prob hook up a temp black out curtain if it becomes a problem in here, think our room is dark enough anyway so by the time she is sleeping in her it might be mid winter anyway!

rocketleaf · 14/01/2011 09:53

oh and score would love to be your craftywitch bitch, but I don't get out of bed for less that £7.50 an hour Wink

Ivegotmrbitey · 14/01/2011 10:48

rocket I love that mobile, wish I could do anything creative. I am quite good with super glue, but that is a whole different story! Also your office is no worse than mine and has cheered me up immensley!

Re: black out curtains I am going for a black out blind which I am hoping my mum will make for me. Mainly because the baybee's bedroom is south facing and while it is lovely and bright it gets pretty warm in there too. My plan is to use a bright fabric as the room is white and exisitng furniture is white and curtains are white. Poor baybee is at risk of snow blindness!

Holiday sounds fab Polly as do you, you serene and glamorous mummy you!

laurielou · 14/01/2011 11:27

Pol you are a Goddess & an absolute inspiration! Glad its a good day.

Well I'm panicking about not panicking! We still only have the cot bumper set (which has remained in the packaging) & the moses basket which we haven't seen, & is in Devon. We are not in Devon.

I have started to think about what we may need - does that count? I'm planning to keep the spare bed in the spare room nursery, as I feel that it will be good for our relationship to have separate bedroom options Smile.

I've put Mr Loz on project "What items do we need?" as if I think too hard about it, it starts to make my head hurt. I sell it to him under the guise of being involved.

Medee · 14/01/2011 11:48

I can empathise, Lou- am panicking about what we need to buy too. need to get some stuff sorted this weekend. All the big stuff is done, just need the bits and pieces (of which there are a lot!)

LadyGoneGaga · 14/01/2011 12:10

Go on holiday, Pol - sounds like you'll have a lovely time! And your little girl will love it - especially playing with other kids.

laurielou · 14/01/2011 12:44

Someone has just come up to me in work & said "Can I say that you are getting bigger every day" Shock - that is genuinely how I looked.

"Can I say....?" No! No you fucking can't. Now fuck off!

Muser · 14/01/2011 13:01

I hope you did say that!

LadyGoneGaga · 14/01/2011 13:04

What do they expect, Loz? The incredible shrinking pregnant woman?

Don't panic about buying stuff people. There will be shops open after you have sprogged. You only really need some babygrows and some vests and nappies for first few weeks. And somewhere for it to sleep but a drawer will do at a push. Of course shop, shop, shop if you want but don't feel bad about not having done so.

I've just bought some bargainous bargains from JojoMamanBebe - 2 dresses and a tankini for £27 total, free delivery. Discount code here MM82. Am finding it hard to try and shop economically because I will be huge in mid-Summer but have a bump and can't do up any trousers now in the depths of Jan. So going to focus on dreeses that will be cool for summer but I can layer up with tights/woolies for now. I was nowhere near this big at 12 weeks last time. Also going on holibobs in May in Greece so need summery stuff for that (hence tankini)!

Signed up for the preggo yoga today though although not until end of Feb.

Ivegotmrbitey · 14/01/2011 13:10

Just spat my lunch down myself loz, as it was bowl of coco-pops probably makes no difference to their nutritional benefit to my body.

Preggo yoga sounds nice ladygonelotus, might have a look around to see what's on in my area. I already know of a swimming bumps course that the midwives run at my local pool but they only take you at twenty weeks so I'll have to wait a while yet. Am I right in thinking that you take time out of work to attend ante-natal things? Wishful thinking maybe?

Ivegotmrbitey · 14/01/2011 13:11

that you can take time out... sorry

Medee · 14/01/2011 13:16

Loving your blog, rocket. The fabrics you have chosen are lovely. How will the little birds attach to the mobile?

Muser · 14/01/2011 13:17

NEW FRED!

LadyGoneGaga · 14/01/2011 13:20

I think you can in theory Bitey but I think they might make a catsbum face at me if I suggest it. And as my boss is actually my yoga teachers husband (far, far too small a town i live in!) I don't think i can get away with it. But there are evening ones which I will do and MrG will have to do childcare.

LadyGoneGaga · 14/01/2011 13:21

Oooh, ta Muse. Shall we?
