Grin
Muser · 30/12/2010 16:43

I'm convinced I'll be late. No reason for it. Just assuming that I will be.

And you are not alone in your love of clean sheets ginster. I have just bought new ones from TK Maxx and put them on the bed. They are so clean and soft and lovely. I want to go to bed now.

PerfectDromedary · 30/12/2010 16:45

I will definitely be late. And this baby will be enormous. I have scientific evidence for this - my mother was late and I was enormous. That's how it works, right?

ginhag · 30/12/2010 16:51

See, those theories make some sense at least. My mum was late with all 3 of us, I was late with mooch, so why the fuck have I convinced myself this one will be early?

He will though

PerfectDromedary · 30/12/2010 16:53

Well, you might be right. I have convinced myself that Berwhale is a boy. Maybe our pregnancy intuitions are telling us something.

How early would you like him to be?

Muser · 30/12/2010 16:54

Because you want to queue jump me and Drom? I'm only basing late on "well first timers are always late". I also think Bob is a girl, based on no evidence whatsoever. I keep having to counter this with boy thoughts for when I turn out to be completely wrong.

Right now, I would like Bob to MOVE DOWN as current position in my ribs is bloody painful. MOVE BABY.

Scorpette · 30/12/2010 17:15

Gin, I'm convinced Teh Baybee will be early - in fact, I've got it fixed in my head that it will arrive on the date of the Royal Wedding and I'll be totally neglected by the MWs cos they'll all be agog at the shenanigans on the telly in their common room Because that's the sort of Sod's Law that always happens to me Hmm

Also convinced it'll be early cos every single baby on my Mum's side has been born at 36 weeks for the last 150-off years! And nearly all of them prem on Dad's side too. but I've mentioned all that before. Then I keep getting 14th May fixed in my head. Basically, I is a menkul.

I think Bob is a girl, Muse, I can feel it in me waters I ain't guessing mine cos hopefully we'll find out next Tues, yippee!

PollyPoo · 30/12/2010 17:17

Oh no, I love clean sheets too gin. If only it weren't so much fecking effort to get the things on. Because of TG's height we have 'normous custom made bed. I feel like a child when I'm on my own in it. It is about 8 feet long!

I thought for ages this baybee would be early, even though Boo was 12 days late. I think it was more wishful thinking. Just shows what I know. No more rusty gusset here since first thing this morning. Is it wrong to shout at my baybee 'Will you come the fuck on?'. Hmm

MsFC · 30/12/2010 17:22

Aw polster that must have been a grim day yesterday being all hooked up. I reckon the stress of that is enough to put your BP up. But excellent that they haven't ruled out a HB and that you are snow free.

I want new clean sheets as well now! muse, can I come for a sleepover please??

Scorpette · 30/12/2010 17:32

I bloody love clean sheets. Clean cold sheets. I get in the bed right under the duvet and kinda 'snow angel' my limbs up and down to drink in the gorgeousness. Been doing it since I was a kiddiwink mesen!

ginhag · 30/12/2010 17:37

I dunno cam. in my head it's not much more than 37 weeks. Although I have not been aware of wanting that, more just feeling that it's going to happen iyswim.

Obviously this means I'll go 2 weeks over :)

Mr gin has sorted bed. Clean sheets clean sheets clean sheets.

MsFC · 30/12/2010 17:37

Oh, And do you race to be the first one in the bed? Because they simply aren't clean any more if you are the second to get in!

ginhag · 30/12/2010 17:38

C'MON BOOTWOoooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!

Try tempting the baybee out with donuts poop Grin

ginhag · 30/12/2010 17:39

No need to race mrsFC am always in bed hours before mr gin (although he still seems to get to sleep before me, WTF is that about??)

ginhag · 30/12/2010 17:40

My iPad has decided that I only want to write am in italics. Weird.

Medee · 30/12/2010 17:44

My mother is convinced our baby is a boy, and keeps referring to it as he/him - I had to tell her off.

I also assume it will be big - have bought a couple of things in the sales, but 0-3 not newborn as that is up to 10lbs and my baby will be that in about 5 minutes after birth, if not before, surely.

Scorpette · 30/12/2010 17:52

My ILs seem incapable of countenancing the notion of baby being a girl, whereas my parents only refer to it as 'she'. There's going to be tears before bedtime...

(FIL even said in all seriousness that he would 'have to come to terms with it being a girl... in time', with a heavy-hearted sigh, when I tactfully tried to point out there's 50% chance it's not a boy, when they were obsessing Hmm Angry)

Muser · 30/12/2010 18:15

I have told my mum and my FIL off for talking about how it would be lovely to have a girl this time. Both said they would also be very happy with a boy, when challenged. I think they'd just like a granddaughter to counter all the grandsons.

Ginfox · 30/12/2010 18:17

Scorpster what the hell is wrong with your In-Laws? I seriously don't understand why so many lovely people have to put up with such arseholes for family.

Rant over. Have had a crap day and drop-kicking a few ILs would make me feel so much better. Or anyone else that's bugging my lovely PESHettes?

ginhag · 30/12/2010 18:24

How bizarre. I have obviously known scorps for waaaay too long as I now feel compelled to stick up for her in-laws Confused

They're not really arseholes. Strange, emotionally repressed and rather skanky yes. But not actual horrible people.

ginhag · 30/12/2010 18:30

(not that I have actually met them! Just feel like I have iykwim)

Ginfox · 30/12/2010 18:52

Well maybe not full-time professional arseholes [sheepish emoticon]. But it was still a horrible thing to say.

Scorpette · 30/12/2010 18:58

Hag is right, Fox. They are indeed strange, repressed and skanky, but they are essentially nice. Just v trad and v different from my rather funky, groovy 'rents. I likes a moan but we don't see 'em very often and they could be sooooo much worse (like my Ex's dad who genuinely thought women aren't 'real' humans like men Hmm). And because we don't see them often and they won't visit us (a whole thread in itself!) and they live so far away, we end up staying for a week or so. If I had to spend a whole week with my own parents with nothing to do and nowhere to go, I would go mental with an automatic weapon. But I appreciate Foxy sticking up for me :) All the constant 'girls are second best' shit is really getting to me. To the extent that I will be slightly pissed off if it's a boy purely out of a missed opportunity to spite them Grin

I escape tomorrow morn! Tra-la-laaaaaaaaaa!

Scorpette · 30/12/2010 19:10

PS ILs are a bit mad, mind. MIL accused me of making up 00 flour today, when younger BIL was asking for tips on making his own pizzas. Confused

SilverSky · 30/12/2010 19:15

Who said clean sheets?! I loves the clean sheets and agree avec score gotta be cold !!! Tho I hates making the bed. Absolute biatch of a job.

Soooooooooo where are all the baybee's???
