Kate, if The Lad is anything like TYF, he'll be more likely to prefer to be one of the cheerleaders (s'why I heart him) Grin Well, if it became cool for cheerleaders to have zero sense of rhythm...

Awww, my folks are the best! They are both going on a fitness overhaul to get in shape for being top quality GPs. My Mum does a lot of exercise but smokes and is giving up and eating less sugar too and my Dad, who is 70, overweight and doesn't like exercise and has high BP, is cutting out fatty food and going for long daily walks (he's also taken to doing a 5-min yoga sun salute every morning), because they want to be able to chase The Lad round the garden/park and tire him out with all sorts of physical fun, like they did with us. I heart them so much :)

Scorpette · 11/01/2011 17:34

I heart saying I heart everyone Blush

Muser · 11/01/2011 17:39

I have been to the osteopath. My ribs are officially Not Good. Although they don't really understand why. I am going to be hauled about once a week to try and improve things. First little bit of hauling was rather nice, in a "this is definitely not a relaxing massage" kind of way.

Scorpette · 11/01/2011 19:03

Muse, that doesn't sound good Sad I take it there's more to the 'not good' ribs than Bob pummelling them day and night, then? Pregnancy hormones could be making connective tissue too lax, perhaps (yeah, get me talking like I know more than the experts, sorry). Really hope the weekly sessions help - sounds like you enjoyed the first one

MsFC · 11/01/2011 19:15

Evening! You've all been so busy chatting, and I haven't caught up yet, but I have two hippo CDs for the first claimant! Unfortunately I can't really vouch for either as miniFC's early arrival meant I never got organized enough to download and lusted to them both!!

I have the PESH hand-me-down one from Silver and a VBAC one as well. Inbox me here or on FB for either or both and I'll send them out xx

Oh yes, and please can I come to any East London meet up please??

ginhag · 11/01/2011 20:14

muse we are quite obviously the same person, is strange we never noticed before. Sorry to hear the ribs are so nasty, i really sympathise as it's FUCKING painful. I can't get through a day without lying down on my left side with my fist shoved between mattress and ribcage (while sobbing obviously.) Wish I could tell you a proper solution but seriously nothing has worked for me. Is just shit. Big slobbery smooches xxx

Ps yay for good scan news and every fink. Sorry not around much at the mo. Far too eeyore at the mo.

rocketleaf · 11/01/2011 20:50

It's official. I am allergic to work. :(

kimdeal · 11/01/2011 21:38

Muser · 11/01/2011 22:04

I think yours is worse than mine gin, poor thing. I do hope your boy arrives a bit early, but not scary early.

I'm hoping the osteopath can help. It was fab for a while after she did things, but wasn't a full session and then I had to go sit in an NCT class for 2 hours on one of those fucking plastic chairs and now I feel shit.

PollyPoo · 11/01/2011 22:06

Gin and Muse so sorry you are both suffering with the nasty rib pain.

OP posts:
ginhag · 11/01/2011 22:23

I hope he does too muse. Bored shitless of being a sobbing cripple! Want to be able to Do Stuff.... Am at the point where Lego is now an extreme sport, half an hour of that and the pain is friggin ridiculous! Really hope osteo helps you though.

Incidentally, I'm convinced Lego = good for baybee positioning (!) as you sort of end up kneeling/on all fours on the floor....

cheeeeers poops I recently discovered waitrose mini choc eclairs. Extremely yummy and you get to pretend you are a giant Grin

kimpuffs baybee is now 7 months old, fact fans!

Scorpette · 11/01/2011 22:41

KIMDEEEEEEAL! Where have you been? I've missed ya!

Also big smooches for poor old Gin. Sounds bloody awful Sad

rocketleaf · 12/01/2011 05:58

Sorry for last nights self indulgent post, I am ashamed when I think of gin and muses very ouchy ribs, how one of you is raising a small child and running own business and the other is working full time plus drom with your mahoosive commute. All of you with less than 6 weeks to go and I am bleating about one day in work Blush pathetic! I will HTFU toot sweet!

Insomnia has kicked in good and proper, been awake since 4 and have been keeping TB awake I think with tossing, turning and sniffing so decided to get up. If this keeps up I think I really will start a blog as what else is there to do at 4 am? (barring porn sites?)

missdeal you won't know me but you would have been my answer to question 9 if the BESHionnaire had been around in 1989 I am impressed you have managed to raise a small person for 7 months without dropping it on its head or leaving it in a supermarket (or have you?) :o

laurielou · 12/01/2011 08:20

Muse, Gin sorry to hear about ouchy ribs, sounds tough. Hope osteo works for you Muse & Gin hope you find some kind of relief too.

Well, today is a good day. My breakfast has stayed down, I actually have some colour in my cheeks & I've decided a big pair of hairy bollocks to a full day in work & am going to leave at midday!

Sorry for all the insomnia. I'm the other way around - I can hardly stay awake. I'm sure that sounds bliss (& without being smug it is) during proper night hours. But when I'm in a meeting at 3pm & can feel my head dropping tis not good.

In non-baybee news my brother has been made redundant. Again. Sad. This job only lasted 9 months after being made redundant last time. And he had to endure that bloody nasty explosion-burn-accident. Gah! He saw it coming (redundancy, not accident), & is just going to put this job down to a bit of experience. Still feel so Sad & Angry though.

On the plus side I suppose he'll have plenty of time to fix my leaky kitchen tap Smile

laurielou · 12/01/2011 08:21

Ooops, last post was a bit emoticon-tastic. Sorry 'bout that.

rocketleaf · 12/01/2011 08:32

oh poor lozzerbro thats harsh :( can he also come and fix my guttering? It has decided to break in the precise place so that it drips back inside the ventilation outlet for the boiler and floods the kitchen floor every time it rains!. I don't even know how that is possible.

I have started a blog, I was so bored at 5.30 am :o now I am v tired but having taken photos of this room to post I am disgusted with myself and have started to tidy up instead of going back to bed.

Soz you are feeling so drained loz its tough not being able to kip when that afternoon slump hits, good work on the early dart today tho, what you gonna do with your free afternoon?

laurielou · 12/01/2011 09:39

Well, its all excitement in the Loz house....I'll prolly do some cleaning & make a casserole for dinner. However on the plus side that means a free evening to have a long bath & an early night.

Rock n Roll Grin

rocketleaf · 12/01/2011 09:58

key words there, BATH & EARLY NIGHT. I'd rather have those than rock and roll any day.

I have started to clear the dross in the 'office' i am going to need more plastic boxes.

Muser · 12/01/2011 10:02

I want a bath and an early night. Instead I'm going to get "shifting everything we own into the bedroom as the carpet men come tomorrow". Then the weekend will be "shifting everything back again so the carpet men can do the bedroom".

And rocket, no apologising for having a moan. We are all allowed a moan.

Medee · 12/01/2011 10:15

MsFC
If no-one else has claimed it, can I have the non-VBAC hippo-birthing CD please?

Sorry to hear about the ribs, Muse, I really hope the osteopath can help.

Hello Kim, nice to see you round these parts again!

LadyGoneGaga · 12/01/2011 10:29

Back from nuchal scan Grin. Due date moved forwards 4 days and risk of Downs has dropped to 1 in 6300 - same as a 15 year old. Baby was wriggling around punching and kicking and putting his/her little hands up in front of their face. Was lovely. Me and MrG both made up. In the words of Ice Cube, today was a good day.

Have celebrated with 4 slices of white toast and marmite slathered in butter Shock

I had insomnia last night too. Couldn't get back to sleep after MiniG's 2am wake up, worrying about scan.

Ribs sound nasty, Muse and Gin - hope can find something to help. At least will be all fixed once baby comes so should only be for a finite amount of time.

Sorry to hear about your bro, Loz - doesn't seem fair and tough on his self esteem.

MsFC · 12/01/2011 10:31

Of course you can meds, let me know your address.

Any takers for the VBAC one?
