cross post score although SURE that post did not take me 10 minutes to write! Good skills on the Aaron knowledge there. He just gets more delicious sounding by the minute.

Well if you are going to be THAT kind of MIL then I will just have to hope lozzer has a boy ;-)

PrincessBoo · 10/01/2011 19:41

She might like older boys anyway Rocket so she can marry mine :o

Chuffed for you sweetness

LadyGoneGaga · 10/01/2011 20:10

Lovely scan news, Sprocket. A little girl for you to dress in pwetty dwesses and pink frilly bits . T'is lovely news though. although I know she'll only have eyes for my MiniG, the roguish, curly blond, blue eyed ladieez man that he is.

rocketleaf · 10/01/2011 20:35

Now boo that is a very very good point :o and a long held if little acknowledged dream of mine. Although MiniG would also be very eligible match, they are both gorgeous boys! I am now realising the advantage of the bias towards having boys in the Deli :o

Mind you, if she anything like her mum she'll be after some yet to be conceived BESH offspring from the distant future Wink

PollyPoo · 10/01/2011 20:48

Aw Muse, you hormonal menkul! Not long and you will be posting pictures of your beautiful Bob and we will all be cooing over her/him. Grin Have this slap around the chops with a wet nappy. That better?

OP posts:
Muser · 10/01/2011 20:58

I am a hormonal menkul Polly. But your baby is so lovely it would bring out the menkul in anyone.

Right, I am going to give OBEM a go. I loved it last time, made me feel all inspired to have a baby, but the Christmas one had too many NICU babies for comfort.

Scorpette · 10/01/2011 21:03

I'll give yer summat to cry about, Muse!

Scorpette · 10/01/2011 21:07

Waaaargh! Opening credits show birthing pool like scene out of Jaws Shock Confused

PollyPoo · 10/01/2011 21:12

I still don't think I can watch that... good luck Scorps!

And thanks Muse. Obv I think BB is gorg and utterly adorable, but is all heartwarmy and melty when others agree. Grin

Muser · 10/01/2011 21:17

So far it's not freaking me out. I weirdly like seeing the possible ways birth can go. Makes me feel more prepared. Plus, tiny babies at the end! They always look so happy when they get their baby, it must be worth it.

rocketleaf · 10/01/2011 21:21

I am avoiding OBEM this time round, all a bit too close to the bone for my liking. The trailer for the Xmas one was making me too freaked out so I am definitely thinking it is Not a Good Idea for me to watch it.

score I am thinking that you with your Scorpio ways and me with my airy fairy Aqauri ways would be the ESH MIL equivalent of Meet the Fockers Wink

PrincessBoo · 10/01/2011 21:22

What pisses me off is the amont of women that start on their fecking backs.

Scorpette · 10/01/2011 21:24

Pol, BB sure is a gorgeous chick - this is objective opinion, not just subjective

Famous Last Words - woman on OBEM who said 'I don't like making a fuss': 'WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! THEPAINTHEPAINTHEPAAAAAIN! NOOOOOOOOO!' x infinity.

Muser · 10/01/2011 21:25

Me too Princess, too much laying around squirming. They obviously want to move off their backs, so why aren't they doing anything but laying there?

Muser · 10/01/2011 21:28

Or rather, why aren't they being encouraged to do anything but lay there? That woman is very scared now and obviously can't think straight. Couldn't they have been more supportive to stop her getting to that point?

PollyPoo · 10/01/2011 21:32

Me three. That fucking annoys me - ok, I had to give birth on my back as was strapped to bed and monitors and stuff, but was not my choice and makes it so much harder. Is it that women are not educated about these things, or are the film makers only want to show certain types of birth?

Don't mock it Scorps - BB came out so quickly (second stage of labour was 11 mins!) and it was sooo intense that I was yelling my head off with the best of them. I won't go into details here but will sort out the birf story in FESH soon, promise. At least I didn't try to punch TG in the face this time although this was prolly only cos I couldn't reach... Grin

Ginfox · 10/01/2011 21:39

Am channel hopping - can't watch a full episode of OBEM on my own, and Mr Fox is away. He is very squeamish, so I usually laugh at him squirming, but I can't be that brave by myself.

Watched last series tho - pre-diffment - and did note that all the women stay on their backs most of the time. Is it a modesty thing for TV? I mean for the viewers, as the mums are obviously past caring who sees what.

Muser · 10/01/2011 21:40

Apparently the unit where they film this has a birthing centre attached but didn't have cameras in there. So the people we see are the ones not using the birthing centre, which I guess influences the kind of birth you have to show.

They did have the birthing pool clip so I'm hoping we get one of those. And Scorps, if you're freaking out it's worth trying to track down the bit of video of the birthing pool experience from Cherry Has a Baby. Amazingly calm and serene and beautiful.

rocketleaf · 10/01/2011 21:47

That makes a lot of sense muse. I also think anyone with a clue about what might happen would be the last person to agree to having cameras there. Hence you don't actually get a very balanced cross section of people. Hands up anyone who would? Not me!!!!

Muser · 10/01/2011 21:48

No way in hell would I. That's why it's all teenagers. They think "ooh, telly". Whereas I would be "feck off, I don't care if there's no actual camera crew. NOBODY is seeing me go through this."

CluckyKate · 10/01/2011 21:49

I'd second what Muse says - the BP experience on CHAB was also a hippobirth which they didn't mention at the time.

Score - lansinoh is your friend & was brill for nipple-related ishoos Smile

Scorpette · 10/01/2011 21:50

Oooh, I saw that, Muse. It was magical. I've wanted a water birth ever since I read about them in my early 20s! No fucker better even be thinking about that birthing pool in the hossie when The Lad decides to make his entrance into the world.

Pol, am not mocking the screamer, because I have the most awful sinking feeling that I will be that bad too. I used to be almost that bad with period pains (aaaah, almost a forgotten memory Grin) Blush

Are they going to show any wimminz not laying on their backs? Angry Is interesting to know that this isn't the birthing centre, so these are women with slightly more difficult/painful labours.

Ginfox · 10/01/2011 21:51

Nor me LeafyLady. In fact I might ban mobile phones from the room, just to be absolutely sure no-one is filming or otherwise recording me.

PrincessBoo · 10/01/2011 21:51

I think they don't film the people that move around because you wouldn't be able to help filming the fanjo :o

I was on all fours at times - at one point my husband and matewhowantstobeadoula named my piles while peering at my bits
