Great scan news, Loz. Of course you do know there is no need for a full bladder at 20 week scan

My NHS 12 week scan date has arrived in post and wouldn't you know, it's the same flipping day as my expensive private nuchal (not offered on NHS in our area). So will have to not bother with NHS, bah. Was hoping one would be at 13 weeks or summat so I could have a sly second scan (did that with MiniG) but not to be. It is on wednesday - can you believe I only have a week to wait for the magic 12 week mark?!

Hope MrsFC is slipping gently but purposefully into a nice mellow yet productive labour.

Medee · 06/01/2011 20:34

You could probably move the private scan date, LGG?

laurielou · 06/01/2011 21:06

I did wonder about the bladder thing LagyG seeing as everyone here said it wasn't required. But my stoopid letter said in blod letters it was needed. So I dutifully followed suit...........

laurielou · 06/01/2011 21:06

LadyG - sorry about spelling, vay tired!

laurielou · 06/01/2011 21:07

owlbooty · 06/01/2011 21:29

Worth trying to move NHS scan, G , I managed it - would be nice to get both wouldn't it?

Whoop! for the lovely 20 wk scan laurie

Bitey I'm all over those fig rolls, that is my kind of dietary fibre Grin

OkieCokie · 06/01/2011 21:47

Just popping in to see if there is anymore laying going on round here and positive vibes to MsFC.

Congrats on nice scan news.

WRT bad back maybe see Dr about physio too. I suffered tremendously from week 19. Yoga also helped.

HalleLouja · 06/01/2011 22:26

Grabs box of fig rolls.

On my conception thread that Polly used to post on, one of us has gone into labour today. So with mrsFC and my bosses wife it seems to be baby laying week.

Bessie123 · 06/01/2011 22:51

Oooh, I just popped in to see what flavour Scorps is having and whether polly has gone into labour. What exciting news for you both. I thought both of you would be having girls; Polly was girl shaped and dunno why I thought it about Scorps. Shows how rubbish at guessing psychic I am.

Sending good thoughts to MsFC - hope all goes well and hope to see the little one - East End meet up with baybees soon? Maybe when Drom and Cho have laid??

My boy is ginormabaybee and doesn't like to sleep much after about 1am Hmm

Muser · 06/01/2011 22:59

Hey, how come I don't get an invite to East End meet up? I am East!

I was hoping there might be news of MrsFC this evening. Guess I'll just have to be patient. I am the world's least patient person.

Bessie123 · 06/01/2011 23:05

Sorry, Muser, of course you are invited. Confirmed attendance so far is:
me

Grin
Bessie123 · 06/01/2011 23:23

And Scorps I'm so sorry, I also meant to post CONGRATULATIONS on your bubba being blue. How exciting.

Scorpette · 06/01/2011 23:26

LGG, push to get that NHS scan - if they prevaricate, point out that if they actually offered the nuchal stuff like nearly everywhere else does, then you wouldn't be in this situation. Or are the appointments far enough apart on the same day that you might be able to do both and just take the whole day off?

Loz, so glad your scan was fab (although I warned how they love to make you wait then press on your bladder for days, didn't I?!). When the scan-lady was checking the thigh bones of The Lad, that's when we knew his flavour because there was no mistaking the way he was waggling his crown jewels in a most decadent manner. So if you saw nowt there, perhaps it's either a girl or less of an exhibitionist boy Wink Grin

Bitey, I've only read about marmite choc - googled it and it seems to be sold more in department stores as a novelty. Funny - I thought it was an instrument of torture in Guantanamo Bay

Come on, FC! Hope you're doing well and sneezing that baybee out with silent dignity and grace, like all FESH Confused

laurielou · 07/01/2011 08:07

Any more of an update on MrsFC? I hope everything is going OK.

Scorps TBH we didn't really look too hard in the crown jewels area. I was so fascinated by the thigh bone (?) that I just didn't look around. Also, scan was amaze etc, but they were very busy & scan was quite quick & business like, no hanging around for a good ole gawp. Shame for us, but the purpose is to check everything is as it should be & it was. So I will not grumble.

Oh, sorry about repetetive posting last night, no idea WTF I was doing Blush

I'm the Queen of Bad Backs (a title I'd gladly give away). However so far its been OK during diffment In fact, since I started yoga & going to my lovely McTimoney chiropractor lady about 2 years ago its been all good. So would heartily recommend both. MW referred me to consultant to discuss back & he said both yoga & chiroprator were ace, so keep up with them. So check with your MW anyway, but you should be good to go. Slightly confuzzled about the recline position - I think you should sit however you feel comfy. Oh, another recommendation is reflexology. When I slipped a disc years ago I couldn't stand for anyone to come within a metre of my back, I was in so much pain & so scared. Mum suggested reflexology. Even sitting in the "curvy" chair seemed to help support my back in all the right places & I swear that it started me on the road to recovery. Just a few suggestions. I hope some of them help - bad backs are a blardy nightmare.

Ariesgirl · 07/01/2011 08:28

She's had him All fine. Sometime early this morning. Had a section in the end. That's all I know, but someone will update better soon I expect.

AlpinePony · 07/01/2011 08:38

How wonderful! :) Adds fuel to my theory that PE is an auto-immune response given the paternal situation here. Massive congrats to MrsFC!

LadyGoneGaga · 07/01/2011 08:38

Aw, big Congrats to Mr&MrsFC and family. Hope to get the full story very soon.

I dunno about moving the scan date - twas nice last time but a little bit of PITA as they both came up with different due dates. Only two days apart but never knew which to use! They would both me doable Scorps on same day but seems no point just spending all day with full bladder!

Muser · 07/01/2011 08:39

Aw, what wonderful news to wake up to. A new baby in the world. Looking forward to more news.

Right then Cho, you're up.

CluckyKate · 07/01/2011 08:47

What brilliant news to wake up to - another ESH has won her prize.

Well done MrsFC - hope the little chap is behaving himself and you're getting lots of rest.

Much loves to the FC family Smile

rocketleaf · 07/01/2011 09:32

Lovely lovely news! Congrates to the familyFC and there lovely new boy.

Thats a good point lady just goes to show its not an exact science if they gave to 2 different dates, I'd prob have split it in half and gone for the date in the middle. :o

Is snowing here, ruining my plans for the day, there's just nothing for it but to go back to bed :o

rocketleaf · 07/01/2011 09:33

there their, (jesus wept)

BarbiesBeaver · 07/01/2011 09:40

Congrats MsFC! Hope you're not feeling too shoddy this morning and are enjoying gazing in wonder at your new baby boy.

laurielou · 07/01/2011 10:02

Ahhh, CONGRATULATIONS MrsFC. Wonderful news. Welcome to the new ESH arrival.

Bloody hell Cho, you next my love. How the hell did that happen? Grin

MsFC · 07/01/2011 10:06

Morning all! Thank you so much for all your PESH vibes!! So in the end I had an almost identical birth to the one I had with the boy child, a failed induction that ended up in a section. It was pretty grim, as I'm SUCH a scardy cat about knives, but it's done now. He's latched on beautifully already, and I think he's a bit of alright actually...! Loves xxx
