muse good description! Grin pretty much. Kicky legs optional tho!

C'mon poopybaby!!!!!

Ariesgirl · 03/01/2011 20:03

Am loving Muse's description of Cossack dancing a lot!

Scorpette · 03/01/2011 20:16

Sorry have not been around much again - migraine all night for me then recovering and sorting TYF with an emergency dentist the rest of the day (he's going to have to have it taken out or root canal work - what a choice!).

Am having my 2nd scan tomorrow! Will it strawberry or blueberry? EXCITEDS!

(Seriously, I realise it's a v important and serious thing and many people get worrying/awful news, but I'm still excited)

Will it be longer than the first scan? And do I chat to a consultant again? I has questions, many many questions...

gin, 'poopybaby' sounds all wrong - which hole are you trying to entice it out of? Wink Shock Grin

Muser · 03/01/2011 20:52

It can take an age Scorps. Good 30-45 minutes. They will be staring at everything and taking lots of measurements. Don't be afraid to ask them what they're doing, that's where I went wrong the first time so just silently panicked through it all.

Good luck with it, hope everything is perfect and can't wait to find out what flavour it is. What time is the scan?

Aries COSSACK! That's the word I couldn't think of.

rollerbaby · 03/01/2011 21:20

polly this is all sounding very imminent!! Try not to get too fed up - it won't be long as not doubt every single person in the world is now telling you.

muser good call on the storage. My house is filled wiht boxes of books which I am fairly sure will never ever see the light of day. We have big ambitions for shelving units.

scorps have the fucker out. I had root canal years ago and the tooth got a hairline crack, has caused me years of trouble and I still need it out. Good luck for tomorrow - it will be so exciting. I was always shocked at how much bigger the baybee looked. Which sounds obvious but as I wasn't showing massively it gave me a fright.

gin ello ello. I also spent the entire pregnancy either leaning forward or hanging off my sofa onto my arms a la spinning babies. I think this helped up to a point, but was a waste of time in the final month or two.Reason being, that the poor monkey did not move one bit - there wasn't any bloody room with the size he was. I can't believe i worried about it so much, but of course it's easy for me to say that now.

WE are all good today this end. Little one FINALLY did a one feed at 3am and so I have had some sleep and therefore some time to post on here... It's amazing how obsessed with sleep I am becoming... he is worth it though!

OkieCokie · 03/01/2011 21:28

Good luck tomorrow Scorps, looking forward to hearing what flavour you have in there.

Question for Gin on beds. It was you that put me on to Warren Evans and we are about to purchase a bed for mini okie. We are tossing us between a Warren Evans one and one from Aspace. The man in the Warren Evans shop said the white stain can make the knots in the wood appear greeny/yellow. Do you have a white bed and is this an issue. If not what colour did you go for and are you happy with it? Cheers.

ginhag · 03/01/2011 21:43

Cheers moo. just quite keen on the idea of actually having a chance of labour with this baybee (mad as it sounds) but am pretty sure I don't fancy a breech vbac.

Good to hear from you, bloody hell I remember the 'sleeeeeeeep' thing. Won't go into how long that went on in our house tho :)

scorps as muse said it takes a while. Lots to check. I saw consultant afterwards this time round, but appt with him had been booked in separately, don't think it would happen otherwise. Hope tis great and you don't have an overly modest baby :)

okie nope, knots don't bother me...you can sort of see the natural wood thru the white but not hugely. I can take a photo tomorrow if that helps, although it will be shit quality. They gave me the same warning.

It's a lovely bed, mooch loves it and as it's full size (but low) there's no fucking about with toddler/child/oh my god how did you get so TALL??? beds. Their matresses are good too and the men who came to put ours together were really nice and great with moochie :)

Scorpette · 03/01/2011 21:54

12.30, my dear Muse. I presume I'll have to drink loads - bit worried at waiting and then it taking ages as am at the 'piss myself if I so much as pick up a bottle of water' stage at the mo Confused

OkieCokie · 03/01/2011 21:59

Thanks Gin I don't mind knots at all but have yours gone greeny/yellow through the white?

rocketleaf · 03/01/2011 22:18

score loads of luck for tomorrow, it might be worth checking about the drinking, ultrasound lady at my 12 weeks scan said you didnt need a full bladder for the 20 week scan as your womb is now above your pelvic bone. Plus they had no trouble seeing sprout last week and i didnt have a full bladder then.

moo lovely to hear from you, hope the sleeping continues to improve :D just popped my head in the Spa and ran away with my tail between my legs as realised I am completely clueless, think I am going to have to lurk a LOT more so I will know what to do with htis monkey when it comes :D

We have a Warren Evans bed, their delivery guys are really lovely, even after a 6 hour drive!

ginhag · 03/01/2011 22:33

Not that I've noticed okie! not sure mooch would appreciate me putting the light on otherwise I'd go and look right now!

Medee · 03/01/2011 22:53

I didn't need a full bladder for 20w scan - turned up with one just in case, but checked with receptionist, and she said no, so immediately went for a pee!

Remember mine ended up being 2 appointments, due to the baby's position, as they couldn't see everything first time round. Otherwise, all the best, and will you tell us what it is?

Scorpette · 03/01/2011 23:15

Thanks for the tip, Rocket. I currently have worse bladder control than my 91-year old Gran (innards of iron, that woman!) Blush I don't mean I'm incontinent but if I need to go, there can be no hanging about!

Moo, I have already advised TYF to get the tooth out. Trouble is, he's heard me tell the tale of me having one of mine removed about 12 years ago and has been totally put off (Dentist had to brace himself by putting his knee on my shoulder, pain afterwards was so bad that I was rubbing my face raw against the carpet whilst screaming, etc. Me and my big mouth!). I'd rather have another one out than canal work, mind, but he wouldn't. Daft bugger.

Poo, try not to lay whilst I'm having my scan tomorrow so I don't miss out on the excitement!

Am I very bad that I keep making TYF do Marlon Brando impressions (the abscess has given him a hamster cheek)?

Scorpette · 03/01/2011 23:50

I am very cruel - he's just gone to bed before me and whilst he was brushing his teeth, I put an empty loo roll and packet of sunflower seeds on his side of the bed and told him it was to make him feel 'more at home' (hamster cheek!). Grin

May I also express my tedious middle-class delight at having got £80 of Ocado goodies for @£42 through a variety of money off codes and vouchers? YIPPEE!

PollyPoo · 03/01/2011 23:52

Good luck with the scan scorps, enjoy! Off to bed now, no doubt for another thrilling night of gaviscon, wee breaks and no laying.

Bitchslaps and tequila shots to you all.

OP posts:
Scorpette · 04/01/2011 00:39

Good luck with the laying (and hopefully restful night beforehand), Polster!

Muser · 04/01/2011 08:10

I can tell it's time to go back to work by the puking this morning. Roll on maternity leave!

Good luck today Scorps. And Pols, hope that baybee popped out in the night.

PerfectDromedary · 04/01/2011 09:04

Good luck with scan, scorps. And I was sent out for a wee halfway through the scan because she couldn't see all of the baby due to the fulness of the bladder.

laurielou · 04/01/2011 09:14

Morning ladeez! I am back in the land of the living, having spent the past few weeks under a pile of Quality Street wrappers and stalking for news on PrettyPolly

Scorps Good luck with scan today - you're going to find out the flavour, are you? I have 20 week scan on Thurs & so far Mr Loz & I are still determined not to find out.

Poor Muse & the puking. I started puking over Xmas & if I wasn't actually puking I seemed to be hanging over loo with oodles of saliva . Tis a glam bizniz, isn't it?

Well, I suppose I should do some work, seeing as I've been off for ages.

Smooches & wedgies to all, x

Orchid12 · 04/01/2011 10:01

Gah Muse, thought you would be done with that now! You poor love. I thought my puking had gone, but it seems to have re-appeared over the past few days again too.

Polly any updates?

Scorps wahay for the scan! 'Tis all very exciting. Hope you have a fab time and enjoy seeing all the inner workings of your baybee. I LOVED seeing mini O's heart etc, was great. We're finding out this time too, although we have to wait until Feb.

Lozza glad you survived under all those wrappers Smile

rocketleaf · 04/01/2011 10:10

Yo there lozza work you say? surely no one expects any productivity the first day back.

Cant believe the puking is back muse that sucks big time. it must be to do with early mornings?

orcs where are you up too week wise? my non vomitus balkus petered out but in cycles and kept coming back just to freak me out well into 16-17 weeks :( I'd go for a week with nothing then have one random balk session just at the most inconvenient time (usual in a meeting or in the supermarket) All gone now tho.

Off into town in a bit to see if i can pick up some sale bargains. Although its probably all gone by now...

CluckyKate · 04/01/2011 10:28

Oooh scanning bonanza this week - good luck Score & Lozza

Totally crappola on the chundering front Muse....can't be long until mat leave now though can it?!?!

First day of ML for me and so far I have done.....erm....well, bugger all actually. Finally got a lie-in today - MrCK has been rubbish over the holidays what with the cricket on all night so has always been me up at 7am with LC. Today he has dropped her off at nursery leaving me to loaf around in bed. Have finally managed to get dressed and will tootle out for a stroll with muttley as soon as Jeremy Kyle finishes.

Pol - hope you're busy laying now....if not it's another day less to wait until the little tyke finally does arrive [positive emoticon]

Orchid12 · 04/01/2011 10:51

Good luck with the shopping rocket - MrO went yesterday and said there were some good bargains still to be had so you may be lucky Smile

Am now nearly 14 weeks (although scan says nearly 15). I have been feeling a darn sight better of late, almost human (!) so I don't mind the odd puke here and there. Like you say, it just comes out of no-where. One minute I feel mostly ok, the next I need to chunder. Quite wierd! I was last sick at 16 weeks with Mini O so am keeping fingers crossed that it's on it's way out and I can start being productive again. I have so much work to do from last term that I put off in the hope that I would better by this point that it's scaring me... So, of course, I am on MN instead of tackling it - doh!!!

Orchid12 · 04/01/2011 10:53

its, not it's - whoops

Scorpette · 04/01/2011 11:08

Me no likey pukey Muse Sad SORT IT AHHHT, BOB! Hope it's just a one-off thing, me old treacle

Oooh, scan at 12.30! I have diarrhoea, a blinding headache and TYF looks like a white Dizzy Gillespie on one side, so together we shall hobble in like the Addams family to see our gorgeous baby... and all aches and pains will be miraculously forgotten! Have been told we go straight to the scan room this time round (rang 'em to check on bladder fullness, etc. - drink normally and if you need to drink more, you can do it there, which is fair 'nuff).

Is groovy you're having yours on Thurs., Lozza. Me and you might produce those non-related PESH twinzzzz I'm always on about Wink

Big snogs and punches to all and a mega-tweak for Pol. Laterzzzzzz...
