I was out with friends for lunch today and TBG was doing other things. I got a call from him saying he'd realised he was parked right by a Toys R Us with a big Babies R Us in it, and was there anything we still needed. Which made me laugh a lot as we still need tons of stuff.

But I reeled off a few things and we now have a changing mat, lots and lots and lots of muslin cloths, some more sleepsuits, and he got me a wedge pillow to try and help my back. Bless him.

PollyPoo · 02/01/2011 18:30

Just a quick gusset watch update - no fricking news. Stayed in bed until 11 today because I was so pissed off that nothing had kicked off overnight after our 2nd hot curry. Got up just in time to get to MILs for lunch and we're still here, just trying to pack up to leave now.

Hope all ok with ma biatches, will catch up later when we get home.

Muser · 02/01/2011 18:47

That baby clearly wants to get as far away as possible from New Years to maximise party potential!

PollyPoo · 02/01/2011 20:44

Can't blame it really, can you! Still, can't stay in there for much longer - I'm hoping the threat of induction on thurs will be enough to turf it out, little blighter. Worked with Boo anyway so fingers x'd.

How is everyone else? I'm going to watch that new Rufus Sewell programme tonight. I lusts him muchly.

OP posts:
Ariesgirl · 02/01/2011 20:53

Maybe lust will push baybee out Pols. I also want to shag Sewell. Unfortunately MrA is watching Chris Evans, BMXes and Jonah Lomu in a programme of mind boggling awfulness.

PollyPoo · 02/01/2011 21:02

Oh no Rie that is a tragedy - I just caught a glimpse of that programme and it did look truly awful. Especially as Rufus Hound was out and he was the only one I liked. I had to turn over to watch the end of Towering Inferno instead.

MsFC · 02/01/2011 21:07

mas, so pleased to hear all is going well for you and that you are happy!

pol, sorry to hear your baby is being so stubborn! Hope the induction threat helps. Only four days to go at the most though I spose..!

We are watching F&F. God how long can they stretch out something so shit??

rocketleaf · 02/01/2011 21:07

Argh, caught between Rufus and Bruce, which to watch!!! I saw Rufus in the flesh on a tube platform in London not long ago, gave me a proper wide on I can tell you!

PollyPoo · 02/01/2011 21:11

Apparently my allergy lady went to school with Rufus Sewell, was very good friends with him and even snogged him once at a party. Envy Is he as gorgeous in the flesh then Sprocket?

OP posts:
rocketleaf · 02/01/2011 21:16

Yes, utterly. I now have an urge to watch Cold Comfort Farm, possibly the best casting of Seth Starkadder that could have been achieved. I am very jealous of your allergy lady.

I admit I had forgotten about Rufus, he is going on the list with RDJ, Dr. Owen Hunt and Jake Gyllenhall

MsFC · 02/01/2011 21:25

Ooh. Dr Eye-raq. He is sex. Pacey still top dog though.

We are recording lovely Bruce.

PollyPoo · 02/01/2011 21:38

Ooh i fell in lust with him in Cold Comfort Farm.

OP posts:
PollyPoo · 02/01/2011 21:38

I do think he has improved with age too.

OP posts:
rocketleaf · 02/01/2011 21:43

definitely, as has RDJ, it's been a good night for dark slightly scruffy roguish eye candy this evening :o

Muser · 02/01/2011 21:44

I have never seen Cold Comfort Farm.

CluckyKate · 02/01/2011 22:05

Had to do double-take there....thought you were all talking about Rufus Hound [thicko]

Rufus if the the Sewell variety is [swoon] - and yes, he has most definitely improved with age. Have Sky+ed Zen so I can watch and re-watch - what else am I to do with myself now mat leave has started....whoopee...and have Marple on the box. Have read the book but for the life of me can't recall who dunnit [thicko again]

Pol that is one stubborn baybee - is it a boy???

PollyPoo · 02/01/2011 22:35

Cold Comfort Farm is fab Muse. And not only for Rufus. Smile

Clucky congrats on startng ML! Not sure about the boy - Boo was 12 days late and did not respond to any of our attempts to get her out earlier, so could well be another girl.

I've been recording Marple too. And I recorded Jonathan Creek. I do love a good murder mystery. I just need TG to go back to work so i can watch all this stuff.

Have arranged to go and meet up with nice SIL tomorrow. She is due to drop this week too, and other SIL is due at the beginning of Feb. The quota of grandchildren is set to double within the next 5 or 6 weeks!

Scorpette · 03/01/2011 00:21

Rufus Sewell is HOT because he has the same birthday as me: everyone born on that day is well fit, innit. Astrological TRUFAX.

(Zen was a bit crap, sadly)

Ooooh, Cass AND Mas!

Sounds like you're taking to motherhood like a duck to water (a duck to a wet bed? Wink), Mas. Having seen the pics, I'm pretty besotted with him too Grin Will there be a story in the Spa any time soon for us to read (and for us first-timers, to read through our fingers!)? Big snogs.

Pol, BooTwo is clearly v clever and considerate and is waiting until the Bank Holiday is over so there'll be no 'the NHS doesn't work on special days' shenanigans!

TYF still has v bad toothache. He is that rare man who doesn't make any fuss when ill and doesn't whinge on like a cold or a toothache is a terminal disease I, on the other hand, can't stop moaning about my constant headache. Over 8 weeks now. Happy times.

We are getting v excited about my scan on Tues. - is all we can bloody talk about! We wrote a list of things we need to buy for the baby tonight and he made his first appalling Dad Joke: we were brainstorming and I said 'muslin cloths!' and he quipped, 'what, you want to dress our child in a burqa?' For shame, TYF, for SHAME! Grin

SilverSky · 03/01/2011 07:10

"wide on!"

Muser · 03/01/2011 09:06

Good luck with all the revision Cass. Come back when you're all done and examed out. Or we can quiz you on stuff. Like, umm, no that really won't work will it?

I have such an earworm and I really can't sing it in public. We watched the new Tim Minchin DVD the other day. The chorus to one of the songs is "Fuck, I love boobs though". I have been singing it for DAYS.

ginhag · 03/01/2011 09:59

Smooches to stewie and masmumma :)

polly please to have news on your gusset?

muse how're you feeling? Hope some of what I posted may help? An ice pack especially can really relieve it...

I am currently concerned that although thing 2 has dropped he is actually the wrong way up. Although tbh I find it hard to tell, and never seem to see a mw so can't really find out. Lots of bh going on too, exciting. But I don't want a bum first baybee ta!

Every time I go to post I forget half of what I was going to say. Doh.

ginhag · 03/01/2011 10:01

muse there's a Frank Zappa song that does that to me... 'blow job, gimme that gimme that blow job...' Grin

Muser · 03/01/2011 10:05

Yesterday was a much better day, thanks gin. I am about to try your tips though as Bob is currently squirming in my ribs and I can feel the ache acoming.

I hope Thing 2 is not the wrong way round. I'm not sure how you're meant to tell though. But there is still plenty of flipping time.

Medee · 03/01/2011 10:13

I left the Armstrong and Miller live show with an earworm of "you that bit between your testicle and your anus."
