Evening. I've not been on much with different things going on, it's been quite hectic around here. I had a scan yesterday, mainly to measure the cervix, making sure I'm not in labour (in 4 weeks I'll be where I went into labour last time) which I'm not - yay! Baby has really been moving around, OH felt it last night (nice little game of poke going on when we found the right spot) and my 4 year old could feel it today. She went and told Nanny who asked her if we should smack baby's bum when s/he is born, she told her it was just the baby saying hello :)
My bump seems to have popped out all of a sudden, I've been wearing maternity trousers from pretty early on but this week I have a proper defined bump, hard and not fat. I think with the toddler being ill and being wrapped up in that I've not had chance to notice it getting big.
I'm getting fed up with the injections, my leg muscles are so tight that it hurts to inject my legs, my bump getting big is making it hard to inject there and my bum can't take much more.
I went fabric shopping today, we're going to a medieval meal for my birthday and I'm going to make a medieval dress. I've found one that should work for a pregnant woman, just need to work out the best way to make it maternity.
I'm happy to make something on Facebook and it can be a private or closed group so that only we can see it. Anyone have any preference for old or new style group? I have some defunct groups I can use or I'll make a new one, whatever people want.
inbetweener, my mum had placenta previa with my sister right from the start and spent most of her pregnancy in hospital because of the bleeding. She went to 44 weeks and delivered naturally. They know she had to be 44 weeks because of how long she'd been in and when they started scanning her.
pesha, go! A very small % of babies are born when they're supposed to and if you're only 45 minutes away it's not too far, you don't need to be there from the first contraction. Make sure you know the local hospitals so you can have a back up plan if needed.
emmywoo, a natural birth (if possible) is far better for PGP than a section. There are things you can do to protect yourself during labour to make sure it doesn't cause too much of a problem or leave you with problems afterwards.
Cara, he's a month older than my toddler then. You might be able to get him in a back wrap if he's not up for walking.
MissLolita, we have been better thank you. I'm still aching and had a couple of bad days where I couldn't move my legs, I think I need to get a good massage!
twit, I'm not really a professional, I'm a Doula so have on my website that I make slings. I sell them very cheap but I do have to make allowances for the fact that I have two spares that might end up just on the stash and never get sold so I sell them just over cost and I don't want everyone knowing what I get back from them (if that makes sense and isn't too rambly
)
