I was just about to post to say sorry for starting the July thread and then disappearing, then saw that it was all full up! So I thought I would start us a new one.

Hello to all the many many ladies that have joined the July club - it's lovely to see so many of us here. I've been trying to read back through all the old posts, but there are so many, that's partly why it's taken me so long to get back! Have also been having some personal troubles, but that's another story.

Anyway, I'm 12 weeks today and slightly looking forward to my scan on Christmas Eve, but also nervous in case it's not good news. I'm looking forward to catching up with you all again and hearing how you and your bumps are going.

The date change helps me out slightly as I booked a holiday last night (I am currently VERY excited about this so apologies in advance!!!) for 4 April to go to Egypt to an ultra-all-inclusive adult only spa hotel (no people under age of 16 rather than any other sort of, ahem, adult only type affair) for a week. DH is on a contract which finishes on 31 March so can't go away until after that and with my original dates I would have been flying out on 27 and coming back on 28 which meant I would have needed mw/drs notes etc but new dates mean I fly back on 27+4 so it gives me a little bit of breathing space.

HighFibre am I missing something? I am still wearing an underwired bra - am I not supposed to be?

Back from scan, have moved my dates forward to 24th July, so now 12+3. We had the nuchal test done combined with bloods and all was great - small amount of fluid, nasal bone present etc. Risk has dropped to 1 in 6300, same as a 15 year old so couldn't have gone better. And was sooo lovely seeing the baby jumping around and putting its fingers over its eyes as if trying to hide from us! Got a DVD too so will be watching that later.

Congrats on scan lady, bet you cant wait to get home and watch the dvd!
I have my 12 week scan on Monday and we are both very excited. The anxiousness comes in telling my 15 and 13 year old who may not be best pleased.
Morning sickness disappeared just like that one luchtime, boobs still sore and ever increasing! Gone from D to E and my bra still isnt big enough, taking on board all the advice on where to get a decent one from.
Had major breathlessness this morning while walking the dog, had to stop and bend over like I had been running, then went dizzy.
I'm very pleased to hear everyone is entering this next phase well and happy, those bumps will be popping out soon!!

Wow Ladygonegaga thats great odds ! I was pleased in mine at 1 in 1058 but over 6000 must be lovely. Do you mind me asking how old you are ? Im 36

As for maternity clothes I am in maternity trousers today lol. I couldnt bear the waist band digging into me any longer so it had to be done.
Im 13 weeks tommorrow and def have a bit of bump although I rather fear I look more fat then anything. Its for that reason I am strongly tempted to mention it to people at work. Im sure people think must be thinking " Christ shes packed it on over xmas !".
I feel REALLy hormoanal at the minute too. I am crying over everything. It doesnt help that DH and I have been arguing

Anyway, better get on.

Hi Ladies
Just popping in to attempt to keep track of everyone's scans etc (failing miserably!)

Just updating my dates again as they moved me at my scan and have gone back to the 13th July now.

Am fighting off the maternity clothes as all my stuff from last time is summer, which will be useful when I go to NZ in February for 3 weeks - DSIL is getting married and DD is bridesmaid, just ordered her outfit. I hope that she behaves herself, is showing worrying signs of thinking for herself and is very independent - am hoping she doesn't throw a wobbly in the middle of the service!

notnearly we've got the same due date. haha!

my ds3's bday is July 13th!! going to be a busy couple of weeks, with his birthday, our wedding anniversary on the 18th, ds3 has lovely garden party and church service as he leaves nursery on the 22nd too I hope i manage to make it!! two of my boys were late and one early.

I'm 32 Inbetweener. My background risk (just on age) was 1 in 600 I think so has obviously improved a lot. The nuchal measurement was only 1mm, you could see just by eye it was really narrow so think that is why. But I had the bloods as well so a combined test, not sure whether that changes things too. Is lovely to be reassured though. Is your due date still 24th? We share a date if so!

Im 36 and was told my risk was i in 200 on that alone. After the combined blood test and nuchal test it went up to 1 in 1058. So i guess thats still pretty good. Actually no my due date has changed to the 21st after my 12 week scan so I must update my stats

Am having second thoughts about telling people today. Im scared lol. I need too though as two people have asked me today if I have any news to tell after pointing at my fat stomach !! Note to self, dont wear this top again !!!!!!!!

Hi all. Have just read through the last 2 weeks but forgotten most of it! Really pleased to hear everyone's good scan results and about Stormbird's good results ffrom CVS (was it Stormbird??).

Still feeling very sick here. Can get away with not being sick if I have a lie in but on week days I'm still being sick every morning but has always been like that in previous pgs pretty much till the end. Its the feeling sick most of the day and particularly in the evenings thats starting to get me down a bit, thought it might have eased up a bit by now.

Have been suffering with really bad abscess and toothache here too. Pain has been absolutely unbearable at times, hurts in my neck, collar bone, ear, back and entire left side of my face so I have taken a worrying amount of drugs what with painkillers (paracetamol, codeine and ibuprofen, all safe in 1st and 2nd trimester according to my Dr although not necessarily recommended iyswim), antibiotics and 2 different types of anti sickness drugs . There have only been a few nights when I've been taking all the painkillers, mostly I just get by with a bag of frozen peas stuck to my face and lots of moaning to dp!!

Have quite a baby bump now (15+6) that comes up to my belly button and a flabby bump of fat above my belly button I think a lot of that is bloating and I'm also blaming it on on the bump pushing everything up! Have mat jeans on today and plan on going shopping tomorrow to get some more as my normal jeans are getting really quite uncomfortable now and I'm getting bored of wearing leggings with the same 3 baggy tops over and over! Have only found 3 pairs of my mat clothes from last time, the jeans I'm wearing now, a really, really comfy pair of trousers that I wear around the house but they look like pjs so I don't wear them out and a pair of brown combats that are some sort of cross between under and over bump and are just really uncomfortable!

Had my 20 week scan appointment through this week for 9th Feb, I really can't wait, I'm dying to find out if its boy or girl! Slightly worried too though as last pg we had a bit of a scare at 20 week scan so well aware its not just about the sex of the baby but trying not to think about that too much.

Not been on here for weeks - have been "living" on the hyperemesis thread. Think I am heading back to the land of the living now so thought I'd schlep over and say hi.

My dates have also changed to 20/7 after 12 week scan. Have nuchal scan on Monday. Didn't have one last time so a bit .

Hope people are starting to "glow" or at least are stopping puking as much.

Ooh Pesha just seen your post. The teeth situation sounds horrible. Will you have to have something done or is it just a matter of waiting till it subsides?

Hi all!
So I had a hasty phone call from the MW, who is going to come to see me tonight to start the notes etc and is also going to try and get me a scan (nuchal too) this week!
If she can't I may be too far along for the nuchal one, but who knows? So very exciting all at once!

I've been told about a PT job that I would really like to go for, what do you reckon? I haven't had any health issues in my pregnancies to date, nor anything during childbirth (so far). Is it worth me going for it do you think? Does anyone else have experience of going for and getting a job at this stage in pregnancy? Hmm, I might start a thread on this later if I get a chance.

Ok, very quick update. I may be more like 15-16 weeks judging by my womb and the fact that we clearly heard the heartbeat (we think there's only one).
This means if we are right that I have missed the NT scan, but hey ho. Every thing else was ok and am now On The System.

I have a scan on Monday pm so will find out for sure then.
I might be moving to June

Nitnat and Nicola - Thanks for sympathy re tooth, went to dentist today and she has put a temp filling in my wisdom tooth which hurt like hell at the time but will hopefully stop anything getting in there hitting the nerve which was exposed I'm sure. Was referred in June to have another wisdom tooth out and not heard anything about that, I didn't think they'd be able to do anything now I'm pg but she said they can still do extraction so is going to chase that up from me. I have awful teeth, always getting abscesses and it seems like once I get a slight chip or tiny bit of decay the rest of my tooth just crumbles away. I will have no teeth left by the time I'm 40 I'm sure All I can think is that I don't like milk and haven't since a baby so never really drank any growing up. I also think smoking has contributed if I'm honest (not smoking now pg btw!). Pregnancy always makes things worse though.

Pah, am trying to distract myself from depressing gummy thoughts by looking for a new car! Don't suppose anyone has a Honda FRV do they?!

Had my 12 week scan today. A lot has changed since the last one at 6 weeks. There is a baby-shaped baby in there! Although it has quite a sinsiter little face

Only disappointing thing was that the baby was not for moving at all. The sonographer and my obstetrician weren't bothered, they just said that it must be sleepy. Can't help but worry anyway though.. Really wanted to see the baby jumping around.

They don't do nuchal scanning around these parts, but said they had a look and if there were any concerns they would report on them.. guess that will have to do.

Twit I've been able to pick up a hb briefly from about 8 weeks and got it strongly the other night at 12+a bit/13 depending on which EDD you go on. Stay in July! (Would be nice to gain a few weeks though)

Mrsfarge, I have had three premature births before so I?m not expected to go to term, I also had two sections as the first was an upside down T shape internally so they don?t want me to deliver naturally as it puts more pressure on the scar than a normal scar.

Underwired bras can damage milk ducts, but you will feel uncomfortable before you cause damage (don?t ignore discomfort, it?s telling you something) I?m wearing one which is really naughty as I?m actually tandeming, but I need new bras and can?t be bothered to hunt my size down yet knowing I may have to do it again in 5 months when the baby is here.

I?ve been in maternity jeans from about 8 weeks when I found out. I was finding them digging in too much and want to be comfortable. Mothercare is good for sale stuff at the moment, especially with buy one get one half price on all sale! I got some nice tops for myself to wear to EastEnders today.

We?ve not had the testing done, I will be having a minimum of one scan a week from 28th January, some weeks it will be three a week, so if anything is wrong it will be picked up on. I?ll be having weekly TV scans from 16 to 24 weeks and they?re like watching a video, a detailed scan and a few other specific ones. If there?s anything wrong they?ll know about it and the results wouldn?t change any outcomes. Change your results to a % and see if it changes how you feel about it.

Pesha, I was taking high levels of those (apart from ibuprofen) in my last pregnancy for PGP and also daily low dose Aspirin. If you need them then it?s more important that you take them then any potential risk (which is quite low really anyway).

Twit, don?t worry about the EDD, the E stands for Estimated, not Expected or Expiry. The baby will come when he or she is ready. I recommend telling people your EDD is about 2 weeks later than it is. Old wisdom puts it at 15 days and you?ll give yourself two weeks extra before anyone starts nagging you about have you had it yet!

Hello all. Not been on here for a while. I'm still wearing underwired bras. I did until about 7 months with DS2. I just made sure that I kept getting new sizes so they wouldn't dig in. I had not problems. I hate non wired bras. In fact this time I paln on getting underwired nursing bras.

I heard the hearbeat for the first time today at my mw appt. It was lovely to hear. I had seen it on the scan but there was no sound.
