And I think I'm right in saying you don't have to pay a subsciption (well I haven't!), I think you can do volutarily but I don't think many do.Well I hope not as now I'm going to look really stingey if most of the others have!!

babyonboard · 30/09/2005 22:41

xx

babyonboard · 30/09/2005 22:51

sorry, but is it best to pay subscrition. or do most not bother?

babyonboard · 30/09/2005 22:54

i remember that! i miss my bump. but not enough to have another just yet.it's harder work when they are outside instead of safely cooconed and transportable!

rodeo1 · 30/09/2005 22:54

Right should get off to bed as I've got a busy day painting our bedroom tomorrow, groan! And dp is completely colour blind so he can't tell which bit he's painted so will end up doing most of it myself I think!

Can't believe I've been on here so long! Dp's busy designing new flyers for his business at his graphic designer friend's house so I'm bored!

KWYM about bump's movements! I enjoy sitting in front of a full length mirror, leaning back slightly with my tummy out and watching elbows, knee's and feet protrude! Thoroughly recommend it to you all, it also helps if you just have a lamp on and not the 'big' light on.

Heehee, the 'big' light!! Does anyone else love Peter Kay?!

OP posts:
rodeo1 · 30/09/2005 22:57

Well it's up to you really about subsciption, I suppose we all should pay but in reality we don't. Apologies to anyone who does pay their subscription

Right off to bed now, night! x x x

babyonboard · 30/09/2005 23:04

Yes! I love peter kaye too.though i think its a particularly northern humour. my mum always said 'big light' and i do too without thinking and get laughed at by my husband.
i just set up my own account and didn't pay, i assumed it was neccesary but i can't afford it either if i don't have to!.
the email says it can be 48 hours till i can post though? did you all get that?

babyonboard · 30/09/2005 23:15

sorry! geting carried away.
ami will laugh at me when she reads back these posts.
I feel sorry for her right now , she's probbaly getting prodded by a nurse every couple of hours to take temperature etc. and then a dismal breakfast to look forward to, and she felt fine! she almost discharged herself, but safest not to.

BEKsmum · 01/10/2005 01:12

Hi ya, being a night owl tonight, this daft baby in here is thrashing around like no tomorrow, so absolutely no point in trying to go to sleep.

Dh has just come back from a concert that was part of his b'day present and is now happily snoring his head off and thankfully Ben appears to be having a restful night sleep after telling the bug in his tummy to pack it's bags and get lost by the morning - bless him.

Bob's friend (sorry didn't spot your name?) nice to have you on here with us, & thanks for letting us know she's ok. Wish her well from me won't you.

Chacha, Not sure that this is the appropriate way of wishing it it but happy Ramadam, hope you enjoy the festival / celebrations, but make sure you look after yourself too whilst fasting, your baby's not ready for religion just yet .

Rodeo & Pink, I'm glad you don't pay subs either, I don't feel so bad now!

I love Peter Kaye too, very funny, Ben happened to be up the other weekend while we were staying at my mil's when Max & Paddy's Road trip was on, the one where they ran over the cow - thankfully he just thought it was really funny - not really suitable tv for a 3 year old - bad mummy!

Rodeo, do you think you're worried because the cs date was sort of sprung on you a bit quicker than you expected? I can totally understand where you're coming from though and am petrified that I will go into labour naturally this time and that it will be really quick for some reason. I suppose our fears are totally irrational really considering we've done it before but your body & brain does seem to block it all out as I just can't remember what it was all like last time round!
You know you're gonna be fine really and we're all going to be willing you on in cyber space!!! Sending you calm vibes {{{{{{{{calm}}}}}}}}}}}}

Fairly sure I'll be able to accomodate you with the October delivery date but must keep legs crossed until after the 15th so DH can keep his own B'day like I was saying earlier, but reckon your bundle of joy will only be a couple of weeks older than mine in the end, which will be cool considering we started the thread at virtually the same time all those weeks ago.

Right am going to attempt to get some sleep as dh is out with his mates tomorrow pm/night on the lash so will need my reserves to deal with Ben. Yes before you ask dh will be paying theprice for two nights out on Sunday - I plan on staying in bed and doing nought.

Hope you have all have a gret weekend Beks

SharonTW · 01/10/2005 01:52

snap Beksmum, you still there ??

SharonTW · 01/10/2005 02:21

Hello ladies, or good morning, not often (well never) that I'm first to say that !!
Been off work all week becasue I've damaged a tendon in my ankle , ouch, my excuse .... I couldn't see the stair , thought I was at the bottom and I wasn't, really went over on it and there was such a snap, made me ill, sat on the stairs and cried until DH came home (only 10 minutes) then fainted !! Anyway not so bad now, hobbling around , been so bored not being able to do anything. DH been so busy at work too and tired when he gets home so he's not much fun either !!!
Feeling really big and heavy lately, can't even relax in the bath - what can I do !!
Also think this bellybean can't wait another 7 weeks !!! Can only sleep through the day and so restless at night.
Hope you're all well and sure I'll be getting some company on these evening threads before long!!!
Going for a cuddle now x x

ChaCha · 01/10/2005 11:47

Morning all,

Hope BoB is doing okay now and glad that the bloods and urine turned out fine. Any more news?

Beks - How sweet! Thank you for that, it will either be on Tuesday or Wednesday and I don't have to fast If I can't so i'm just going to see how i feel. I'm really looking fwd to it.

Are NCT sales all elbowing and pushing your way through then? Best be prepared!

See you all later x

ChaCha · 01/10/2005 11:48

OH and Pinkminx don't feel bad about DH having no sleep, I feel guilty about that too but what to do eh? Tough!! You didn't get PG by yourself now did you? he hee

pinkminx79 · 01/10/2005 11:54

hehe true!
but he'll be a grumpy ol' so and so! he's been working horrible shifts and hardly any sleep, i know he won't get any when jellybean is here, but he should now

i should be in bed, i sleep better in the day, if Dp isn't there, i can sprawl, toss and turn and get cosy
but i have mastered getting to the loo in the dark LOL...once i think i fell asleep standing up, i got out of bed to go to the loo, next thing i remember opening my eyes and facing the wall where i stand up! hmmmm strange LOL

xx

BEKsmum · 01/10/2005 12:32

Afternoon girls.

Sharon sorry was still up but retired to bed to read, finally got to sleep at 2:15am then Ben came wandering in 5 minutes later because daddy's snoring woke him up - eventually got us both back to sleep at 3:30am - are you 1st timers prepared for this!!!

How long is your ankle going to take to get better, tendon damage takes a while doesn't it? It's amazing how much bump alters your movement & makes you so much more clumsy isn't it.

Pink what a nightmare with your calves, I read somewhere recently that you should rotate your ankles without pointing your toes and also flex your feet, again without pointing your toes, this will help the cramp and also help reduce swelling. Sounds easy but I find you automatically point your toes when you flex your feet!!!

Right better go and sort out some lunch for Ben before he goes to drama & to bite my tongue before dh & i have a massive row over the fact that he's going to get to the pub half an hour late for an 8 hour drinking session as I've offered to take him while Ben's at drama rather than him taking the bus which takes an hour.

He's peeved 'cos he said he be there at a set time - I think he's lucky to be going considering everything and doesn't necessarily have to be there from the very first pint to the very last - am I being unreasonable?

Chacha, experienced my own bit of fasting yesterday as Ben had a tummy bug so couldn't eat anything all day, so to be fair I did the same - I admire your will power, bump & i were starving by the time I got Ben to bed at 9:00pm a whole hour and half later than normal!!!

Not planning on being so virtuous today though as Ben is better and a friend is bringing me a big slice of lemon meringue pie back from Mugg & Bean in Bromley so that will make me feel better. Speak to you all later, when I have the house to myself Beks.

pinkminx79 · 01/10/2005 12:36

i think before i go to bed i will do that excersise where you have yourfeet flat on the floor and lean into the wall (like press up)
its horrid isnt it? you squirm, wiggle, stretch and nothing helps, pointing your toes is like a reflex action, you can't help it, i was writhing around in tears and agony but i'll bear in mind 'trying' to rotate my feet, hope it helps
