Leroy babies heartbeats are much faster than ours so 150bpm normal, I think.
I think it is also a not completely scienttific way of working out if it is a boy or a girl - girl heartbeats supposed to generally be a bit faster than boys.

Has anyone else lost the ability to have a proper lie in? I can sleep for England but in the morning if its the weekend I can't stay in bed past half 8.

It's snowing here- I have been wishing for snow all bloody week so that my school would be shut and it decides to snow on a Saturday ! My sky box isn't working either must be the snow on the dish.

Clarkiee YES! I have woken up at around 4am every single day since I have been pregnant - that was one of the first symptoms I had (I had a mc at all of 4+2 in August and for a week before that I was waking up like this too).

At first I couldn't get back to sleep. Now I'm more tired I manage to go to sleep but usually have crazy dreams (sometimes sex dreams !) and wake up all the time. There's no way I can ever make it past 8am.

Ooh leroy you are tempting me with the doppler, as if I need anything else to make me paranoid! Every day I google my exact day of pregnancy and if I can find a youtube video of a scan of a baby on that exact day I'll watch it.

I shouldn't post on here early in the morning, it seems to bring out the honesty gene

YES Clarkiee - it's particularly annoying at the weekend.
And my dreams are soooooo vivid just now TTL

When I wake up I have to spend a few seconds reminding myself that it was only a dream.

I wish my camera wasn't broken it would be cool to take a picture of your bump in the same place at the same time everyday (hmmm think it would take up quite a lot of time, maybe once a week would still look cool).

Morning everyone......thanks for your support yesterday. We have decided to have no invasive tests and just go woth the flow.....we will have the anomoly scan at 20weeks when they can once again look for soft markers. If still downs risk with no other complications we will just warn everyone of our risk. If other complications then we will rethink......

Sorry i didnt congratulate everyone on their scans and well done Leroy for finding the heartbeat..........I was far too wrapped up in myself yesterday.

oh moomin you're 110% entitled to think of nothing BUT yourself at the moment!

glad you've managed to talk it through with DH and come to at least some sort of plan, i think everyone will keeping everything crossed for you.

clarkiee I seem to wake up at 9.40am EVERY weekend I'm not working, I'm ashamed to admit thats very early for me!

I want to feel christmasy, but DP is working all day so no tree shopping for me and my house it a tip where he's spent the week of work sick and somehow managed to trash the place and left it for the cleaning fairy to sort out today

Also telling the parents tonight, bloody terrified and if DP asks me one more time how I'm going to do it I may scream. I DON'T BLOODY KNOW! Totally irrational as they'll be delighted but still can't get over the fear, stupid eh? Tables booked for dinner at 6.15pm, wish me luck!

Banana I was irrationally nervous about telling parents and in laws last time with DD. In the end we said there was a picture that we wanted to show them and got out the scan pic. Was a lovely moment :)

Hi Everybody!! I just thought I'd pop in and say hello, and congratulations to everyone for getting through the first trimester - now you can relax a bit!!!!

I haven't read the last 2000 or so posts (you guys do like to rabbit!!!!) but I hope you've all had good pregnancies so far - not too many aches, pains and vomiting sessions! I know a few others have sadly left, we supported each other on the MC board for a few weeks and as far as I know everybody's doing ok so please don't worry about us.

Has the true identity of namechangedfor3months been revealed yet?

Hope you're ok Moomin. Please try not to worry, the high risk comes from your age, this is just a risk factor, something which may have an effect on the result. Surely looking at the actual baby, i.e. measuring the nuchal fold, is a much better indicator. And the NF measurement was really good so I seriously doubt there's anything to worry about.

Wow you heard the heartbeat Leroy! I bet it'll get easier as the baby grows. How much was the doppler and where did you get it from?

Had scan...thats about as much as I can report. Bump was in wrong position and I have retroverted uterus so unable to tell us anything or do nuchal measurement. No offer of internal scan. To be honest I wasnt expecting much because that mat unit have been a long way from effective before and have told me things that have lead to complete panic but fortunately quickly dismissed by EPU. Am going to speak to MW and see what other options I have.

X posts Jasmine. Hope you're ok, I'm sorry they weren't able to tell you much. Do you think they'll be able to have another one as they couldn't see anything. I'm assuming the baby was looking healthy as far as they could see? Or could they not see it at all? It must be very frustrating though .
