Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
milliemuffin · 03/12/2010 09:05

I only got up once during the night, was expecting to be up loads!

I've got DP's works Xmas do tonight at the same venue where my waters went (straight after my Xmas pud!) with DD last December so they'll all be expecting me to drink tonight, especially as we're staying in the hotel. I don't think any of them will guess though, not so soon after DD and we have DS who's 3.

Have a good weekend all xx

santamaxx · 03/12/2010 09:12

knackered get that photo up on your profile pronto - and I want to see other bumps too - get them up people!
I've still to upload my scan pic - will try to do it today!

Well DS's nursery is closed AGAIN today so another day of near-hibernation for us.

moomin156 · 03/12/2010 09:13

Morning everyone......long weekend for me. Off to have my hair highlighted this am and i really must do a food shop this pm as DH wont be happy if he has to live on air over the weekend. Hope everyone is ok today, not sure if there area any scans today.....If so Good luck

takethatlady · 03/12/2010 09:15

catherineps and banana I live in Cambridge too. Are you ladies giving birth at Addenbrookes? And were you offered the chance to be part of the research trials into predicting pregnancy outcomes (which means you get extra scans at 28 and 36 weeks)?

Snow here truly is pathetic :( But I work in Norwich where it has snowed quite a bit, so I have seen a bit of the white stuff (and had one mammoth journey).

Great news karastarbuck and tolalola Xmas Smile

I told all the people from my old job yesterday. Now I am terrified because I am only 10+4. Saw the heartbeat last week on a scan but ms is rapidly easing and there are still 13 days to go before my 12+3 scan. I know it's usual for ms to ease at this point, but I feel like I've tempted fate. Reassurance needed!

I can't work out how to see people's photos - can someone explain it to me?

moomin156 · 03/12/2010 09:19

TTL if you hover over the persons name and its underlined then they have a personal profile. Click on the name and it will take you to it ( you have to be logged in) then it will give you some details about the person and a link to their photos. Hope this helps

Mummynumber2 · 03/12/2010 09:23

Morning all. Dsd's school's open so unfortunately she won't be able to come to the scan anyway. I'm thinking about taking her, dsd2 and dss off school for the 20 week one though.

I'm drinking loads toomilliemuffin. But am also not weeing much bananarama.

Cranberry juice is very good for uti's btw, I can't stand the stuff though. Xmas Grin

santamaxx · 03/12/2010 09:28

Hmmmm - I'm having probs getting my new name to link to photo ...

takethatlady · 03/12/2010 09:30

Thanks moomin :)

santamaxx · 03/12/2010 09:31

Yay - fixed it!!

takethatlady · 03/12/2010 09:33

Wow moomin your scan pic is amazing! The face is so clearly defined! Awwwww.... Xmas Envy at all the ladies who've had their 12 week scans.

moomin156 · 03/12/2010 09:37

Thanks TTL i know its too early but i think it looks like my DH so in that case it NEEDs to be a boy, cant quite imagine a girly DH look alike ......LOL I was moved forward to 13 weeks so maybe thats why its a clear pic

takethatlady · 03/12/2010 10:17

Xmas Grin moomin. Did you do that morph thing that someone suggested the other day with pictures of you and your DH? I did it and it's so scary! The child really does like both of us and it has completely freaked my DH out Xmas Grin

clench234 · 03/12/2010 10:33

Hello everyone. Haven't been on here for a while but have just had a scan through messages. So sorry to hear Cep's news.
Am going to have a look at everyone's bump and scan pics in a minute :-)
Feel in a complete state of limbo here. Scan on Monday and just feel like can't concentrate on anything until its done...
Very pleased with the snow. We've had around a foot down here (how are you doing misshooha?) and its given me a great excuse to work from home so I don't have to hide my expanding bump and support belt combo. Will work from home Monday and then hopefully be able to go in with bump out and proud on Tues to share the good news.

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 03/12/2010 10:42

Scan day for me. I'm a bit worried though as our water pipes have frozen solid and I'm worried I won't have enough to drink to manage a pee sample and a full bladder. Daft I know but for a couple of days there, it was endanger of being cancelled (DH and I have both had hospital appts cancelled this week) I'm still expecting something to happen to stop it from happening!

Not been about much this week so hope I haven't missed anything important (did see cep's sad news, but MN was playing silly buggers and couldn't post).

There should be water fountains there nomorechoc so don't worry. Or just glug milk :) Best of luck

The baby's heartbeat should be a lot faster than yours Leroy. Yours should be ROUGHLY one beat per second and the baby's should be above 120 beats per min so about 2 beats per second. Let us know if it works, I'll be getting one if so Xmas Grin

Moog72 · 03/12/2010 11:20

Morning everyone ? I haven?t been contributing much but have been keeping up as always!
Clench I have my scan on Monday too ? not until the afternoon so will be a long morning? how many weeks will you be? I will be 12+1 and this is my first scan so am very nervous. My ms seemed to disappear on Tuesday completely and has not returned which is a little worrying.
It has been lovely to see all the scan and bump pictures. I will ask my DH to take a pic of my bump and post it on!
Good luck with your scan today nomorechoc

clench234 · 03/12/2010 11:51

Nomorechoc, hope all goes well for scan. Do you mean you don't have any running water, that sounds nasty.
Leroy - that's why I haven't invested in a doppler, I am completely incompetent with equipment, I find theh electric thermometer enough of a challenge! Hope you get the hang of it, i bet there's a video on youtube that will help!
Moog - yay, a scan buddy! I will be 13+1 my ms has also dropped off almost completely as well, I think its because the placenta takes over more from now (vague memory of reading that somewhere...). I am still KNACKERED which is what I'm hanging on to, also, still have odd breastfeeding shaped nipples (slanty!) and my joints definiately feel looser when not strapped together with my belt!
Lovely scan pics, thanks to those who have shared - quite amazing to see the difference between 10 and 12 weeks!
Also v lovely bump pics, particularly like the pants Petitech :-).

KaraStarbuckThrace · 03/12/2010 13:28

Moomin - your scan pic is amazing you can see so much of the face, can make out nose, eye, chin and mouth!

Nomorechoc - oh no, hope you get your water sorted out.

Santamax am very Envy of your lovely neat bump!

Just gritting my teeth waiting to hear from the nuchal fold test, if I don't get a call by a week on Monday everything is fine - they will only call me if the result comes back high.

moomin156 · 03/12/2010 14:22

Shit shit shit......MW phoned, she is coming round as i have a high result on Nuchal. Just what i didnt want to happen, which is why I didnt want the test in first place but DH did. DH 2.5hrs away..........cant face the next decisions.....:(

takethatlady · 03/12/2010 14:23

Oh moomin try not to worry - don't they class 1/200 as high? It may be a very slim chance and no decision to make after all. I'm sure she just wants to chat it through and make sure you're okay. Lots of love and hugs. Hope you can at least get through to your DH on the phone.

8rubberduckies · 03/12/2010 14:26

Moomin, ttl is right, it may still be a very slim chance in the grand scale of things, wait and see what the mw has to say. Also, you won't be expected to make any decisions quickly. Fingers crossed for you, thinking of you x

Moog72 · 03/12/2010 14:28

Moomin I second what TTL said - some areas call 1/300 high risk so it may be absoltuely fine. Did they tell you what the Nuchal measurement was at the time of your scan?

moomin156 · 03/12/2010 14:33

yes, it was 1.2mm which he said was good. this area is 1:200 so it must be higher than that.......must be my blood test maybe. just need to wait for MW i guess. DH now driving home, hes anandoned work :)

takethatlady · 03/12/2010 14:38

Sounds like you have a lovely and supportive DH moomin and by the time the midwife has arrived and talked with you he'll be nearly there. If the measurement was good it may be that there's just a slight anomaly with the blood scans - they probably talk it over with new mums as a matter of course because it wouldn't be fair to dump a statistic on you and leave you to ponder. I bet the midwife is coming round for reassurance as much as anything.
