moomin156 · 30/11/2010 19:04

i think ceps news has made everyone very quiet this evening. Hope everyone is ok......

milliemuffin · 30/11/2010 19:59

My osteopath shocked me today. I'm having treatment on my knees but they won't treat (just massage) women between 12 and 16 weeks pregnant as contrary to popular belief this is actually when you are most likely to miscarry?! I've never heard that before, anyone? He is a lovely man who was recently awarded a 'prize' (that's what it's called) and it was presented by Princess Ann for excellence so I am tempted to believe him.

Cep so so sorry, sending you and your dh lots of love and hugs xxx

milliemuffin · 30/11/2010 20:00

When I say 'just massage' that's all I've been having but they won't even do that.

Balletpink · 30/11/2010 20:08

I'm so sorry Cep, what a terrible shock for you. I hope your DH is looking after you. Will be thinking of you on Friday xx

I have never heard that before either millie, he obviously didn't win his award for tact & reassurance skills Hmm. Maybe he hasn't had specific pregnancy training or said the dates wrong? Hope so & I hope your knees feel better soon too.

79monica · 30/11/2010 20:28

What sad news cep. Thinking of you Sad

petitech · 30/11/2010 20:41

Hello everyone.
So sorry to hear your news cep, take care of yourself, thinking of you.

petitech · 30/11/2010 20:45

Sasamaxx guess what my EDD according to my scan also 03/06/11 so we continue to be EDD twins, and can continue you to compare weight gain and belly size! I am pretty much on a stone now !!!!!
Work is still poo but thanks for everyone's support. Our meeting for today was postponed til tomorrow and tomorrow is my last day in the office before two days off so I'm guessing nothing will get resolved tomorrow, I will be "allowed" to tell my Team Leader on Monday and then have to wait another week before I can tell everyone else. It is utter bullsh*t, we have our Xmas party week on Friday so I am not going to lie to people if they ask why I'm not drinking. So frustrating!

moomin156 · 30/11/2010 20:55

Is anyone else itchy......i am soooooo itchy, particularly legs and arms. MW took bloods for virology yesterday to check all ok. I have no rash and it feels like prickly heat and i would just love an anti-histamine but need to wait for blood results and then see GP.
MW said it was payback for having no morning sickness

Clarkiee · 30/11/2010 21:15

So sorry to hear ceps sad news

Clarkiee · 30/11/2010 21:21

Wow petitech your boss sound like a complete 'tosser'. When you tell everyone I bet you'll be itching to say I would have told you sooner but XYZ wouldn't allow me to. Can't beleive he made the comment about when people MC (and millies kneee guy) how unthoughtful!!!

Experienced heart burn for the first time last night- not nice (wasn't sure if it was that but described it to a few people and they confirmed it). Not had any itchiness moomin that sounds very irritating.

Still extremely tired! 13+ 2 now thought it would have improved by now.

Clarkiee · 30/11/2010 21:22

ha ha meant to cross out the tosser word not put it in inverted commas Grin

bananarama05 · 30/11/2010 21:27

oh cep so sorry to hear your news, as everyone else has said, look after yourself and best of wishes for the future Sad

moomin156 · 30/11/2010 21:33

clarkie i have been more tired the last 2 weeks than the previous 10 weeks......the itching the last few nights hasnt helped and the stressful pre scan sleep....but its an exhausting tiredness. Could sleep standing up :)

Clarkiee · 30/11/2010 21:42

I supposed to be going to see Biffy Clyro on Friday (no moshing for me), football match on Saturday and a family party Saturday night! The thought of it is making me even more exhausted! Will I be dull pregnant woman if I cancel one?!?!

moomin156 · 30/11/2010 21:50

Nope.....give the footie a miss, its far too cold. cuddle up under a duvet and rest before the party

sasamaxx · 30/11/2010 22:40

No way Petitech - that's so cool - whoo hoo!
Yeah I reckon I'm at around a stone now too. I bought maternity cords from h&m today and had to buy 2 sizes bigger than normal - and that was in maternity sizes Shock

Clarkiee cannot believe you are already getting heartburn - you'll need to get a prescription for one of the massive bottles of gaviscon - I went through loads of these with DS - just swigged it straight from the bottle lol.

takethatlady · 30/11/2010 22:50

Ladies I found this info but didn't want to post it earlier right after cep's bad news.

gender predict your baby here

Anyone seen this before? I'm so going to be trying it after my scan in a couple of weeks!

bananarama05 · 30/11/2010 22:58

clarkiee I'm tucking into DP's giant bottle of minty gaviscon as we speak. I've had heartburn the last 48 hours or so and it seems to be getting progressively worse, first time I've had it too, it's horrible isn't it? And who on gods earth made gaviscon SALTY, bleurgh!

TTL I've never seen that before and it looks like something I need to read again in the morning, doesn't make much sense to my mushy brain at this time Grin

takethatlady · 01/12/2010 07:21

Just means that at your 12 week scan if the 'genital tubercle' at a 30 degree angle (or more) from the base of the spine it's more likely to be a boy, and if it looks more parallel to the spine then it's more likely to be a girl ...

10+2 today, 2 weeks and a day til my next scan ...

sasamaxx · 01/12/2010 07:52

Ah boo - I can't make out the 'gender tubercle' on mine at all!

Sarahmumtobe · 01/12/2010 08:15

cep I am so so sorry to read your news. Will be thinking of you on Friday. Take care of yourself and will miss your posts, Sarah.

KaraStarbuckThrace · 01/12/2010 08:40

Full of cold at that moment head is aching badly, feeling sick :(

When I was pg last time, I got a ginormous bottle of gaviscon prescribed by the GP. MAde sure he got me the minty one as I can't stand aniseed Grin

I really hope Cep found her photo :(

Sarahmumtobe · 01/12/2010 09:08

Oh kara it's truly miserable feeling sick and headachy. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

So glad to hear of sone good scans. I haven't been able to check out the scan pics-is it possible to access profiles/upload pics to profile from iPhone? Need to add my stats too but haven't figured out how to copy and paste on this thing!
