Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Mummynumber2 · 29/11/2010 10:35

That did go through my head at first barbieloveskenBlush And it was the first thing dp asked me, (I have the benefit of him having been through pregnancy 3 times with his ex so he already knows the really grizzly bits!) I'm fairly sure it's not that as it's still dribbling out of me, king of like a light period but clear. The lovely lovely fertility people have agreed to see me this afternoon, even though I think I'm supposed to have been discharged from them now.

takethatlady · 29/11/2010 10:46

Oh good luck mummynumber2. Not sure if this is the same thing but (tmi) I have had absolutely loads of, ahem, discharge, all the way through, and sometimes I feel like I must be bleeding, rush to the loo, only to discover it's just more of the same.

Perhaps it's just that? Really glad the fertility people have fitted you in. Sure all will be fine...

MadreInglese · 29/11/2010 11:31

Hello everyone, can I join please?

I'm three months gone with number 2, due 4th June, DD will be 13 when the baby arrives so all the pregnancy & baby stuff are distant memories for me, and I feel very out of date!!

Currently suffering with the dreaded hyperemesis which is no fun, but fingers crossed it will start to improve any day.

Anyone else on here expecting with a huge age gap?

KaraStarbuckThrace · 29/11/2010 11:32

Mummynumbe2 - you just made me laugh, had image of Monica's tummy being licked "mmm tastes like a boy in there!".

Hope you are okay, weird discharges are quite common, but nothing wrong with getting it checked out!

Monica & Moomin - good luck with your scans Smile

Clarkiee - how lovely of your mum!!

Mummynumber2 · 29/11/2010 11:35

I think it may well be that takethatlady I feel a bit embarassed about turning up to be told I've either wet myself or have discharge. Lol! Better safe (or probably embarrassed) than sorry anyway!

Mummynumber2 · 29/11/2010 11:43

X posts with a couple of people.

Hello and welcome Madre Poor you with the sickness, I'm just coming out the other end of it but it's so horrible isn't it. Are you managing to get a bit of rest. Nit exactly the same thong but I will also have a big gap between dc's. This is my 1st but have dsc's 14, 12 and 8) the 14yo lives with us. I think it's really nice that she's old enough to be properly involved. Is your dd very excited?

Lol kara!

MadreInglese · 29/11/2010 11:48

mummynumber2 oh yes she's very excited! Not quite sure if she'll feel the same when it's here and screaming in the middle of the night though! Smile

cep · 29/11/2010 11:52

hello all, welcome madre,
monica and moomin good luck with the scans. mn2 good luck for your appointment this afternoon.

i've got an appointment at the epu tomorrow had a bit more bleeding this morning with a large bloody mucus thing (sorry tmi) and a couple small clots so trip to the dr who booked me in for tomorrow and apparently i have another water infection so more antibiotics. Work are going to love me after 3 days off last week due to ds ear infection to call in to say i'm not going to be in tomorrow either. i still have to mention the leaving early on the 10th for the 12 week scan if everything ok tomorrow.

i think it's something to do with the totm so maybe it's something i'll get every month, but want to check just to make sure.

jasmine51 · 29/11/2010 12:10

mummy I really hope everything is fine for you. I have done exactly the same as you - rushing to the loo in the night convinced I'm bleeding but it just turns out to be excessive discharge.

Question for all you lovelies - has anyone else experienced night sweats? My DH is calling them 'adjustments' because when they happen, the following morning something has changed ie if I was feeling well, then I start to feel rubbish and vice versa. Ive had a problem with headaches over the past week, woke in a sweat last night and the headaches have gone. Is this just me?

By the way, thankyou for your wishes. The ankle is an attractive shade of blue/ green but not so painful. I'm still worried about the bean though and wont get the answer to that until Saturdays scan.

Watch out for ice

xx

moomin156 · 29/11/2010 12:39

Just had my scan.... Absolutely amazing. Very active, backflipping and kicking. So relieved I cried which made DH cry too. Will write more later just wanted you all to know it was all ok

cep · 29/11/2010 12:47

Bienvenido Madre!! I take it you are a mummy in Spain? Whereabouts are you?

MadreInglese · 29/11/2010 13:25

Hi KaraStarbuckThrace, no I'm an english mother with an italian name in N Yorkshire, but good guess! Grin

KaraStarbuckThrace · 29/11/2010 13:27

Oh whereabouts? I am near Stockton (Thornaby to be prescise) so the very North of North Yorkshire!

Moomin - yey for your scan :)

MadreInglese · 29/11/2010 13:28

Harrogate, so you're a bit further north than me

takethatlady · 29/11/2010 13:48

Congratulations moomin!

Mummynumber2 · 29/11/2010 14:59

Congratulations moomin! That's fab news! [Moomin]

I'm glad you managed to get an appointomet quickly at epu cep. I don't think you should feel guilty about taking time off work. If you need it you really should take it. I know how you feel though, I've taken far too much time off. I've actually cut my hours at work as I know I bleed more when I've been overdoing it physically or have got stressed. I know that's not an option for everyone but I really hope you're able to take it very easy.

Thanks for all your kind words. I'm back from the hospital. The baby's still doing very well and my cervix is closed. They agree that I'm leaking a lot of fluid though and although they're fairly sure it's not amniotic fluid they're going to keep a close eye on me and I'm going back on friday. So I think it's probably good news!

cep · 29/11/2010 15:58

mn2 so glad the appointment went well for you, and that you got to see the baby. What do they think the fluid is??

i'm one of those people who feel guilty about everything. i just can't seem to help it :o

moomin156 · 29/11/2010 16:04

hey there.....added my scan picture to my profile. Glad everything ok MN2 and good luck tomorrow cep.

neenewps · 29/11/2010 16:13

Hi all

Hope everyone is well. Have been away for the weekend and due to the snow it took us 9 hours to get home!!!

moomin your scan picture is so clear. Congratulations.

MN2 I occasionally have discharge too but perhaps not quite as much as you seem to have had. Glad you were able to speak to someone quickly about it.

cep hope you feel ok. And I agree I don't think you should feel guilty about having to take some time off work.

cep · 29/11/2010 16:25

moomin your scan picture is lovely, congrats again. And thanks just so fed up of worrying about everything, can't wait till i can feel it, then i can only panic when i don't feel it move for 5 mins. :o

Thanks neenewps.

knackered76 · 29/11/2010 16:32

Grin Grin Hooray Moomin! Although it is worrying having an easy pregnancy early on, enjoy it! I had 2 easy and this one has only been rotten for a couple of weeks :)

cep - glad you've managed to be seen so soon. Hope you're feeling okay and trying not to worry too much (easier said then done!). Oh and second what's already been said about taking time off work and guilt . . . not worth the extra energy required to do it Grin

mn2 glad all's okay. Any idea what the fluid is?

Madre - welcome and congratulations! If it's any consolation I had my first 2 only 20 months apart and I'd still forgotten loads of things Blush! Hope the sickness wears off soon for you.

Jasmine can't say I have, but everybody seems to work in different ways :) Glad you're ankle is feeling a bit better and try not to worry too much about bean (or failing that fill your week up so it passes quickly and you don't have too much time to think about it!).
