neenewps we are birth buddies Grin

I'll race you ...

knackered76 · 25/11/2010 13:00

Just a quick pop in say to TTL - Grin Grin Grin. It is very weird (at least I thought so!) so see something so human and try to get your head around the fact it's inside you! Heartbeat at 9wks gives you a 98/99% chance of all being well, pretty good odds I'd say :)

sasamaxx - reading back realised my post may have seemed a bit 'my bump's bigger then yours', it wasn't meant that way Blush. More meant in the, I'm huge and only 12 wks way! In fact a friend was over the other day who really didn't show until her 3rd pregnancy, I showed her my attempt so far and she announced she would have been happy with that at 8 months! Will get dh to take a photo tonight and try to show you all the belly with a life of it's own (especially seeing as Bob is only a couple of inches long!).

Kara - good news on the scan :)

Off to eat soup and feel sorry for myself as I am feeling rubbish with a cold, chesty cough, etc. Might was Ugly Betty to cheer me up!

sasamaxx · 25/11/2010 13:12

knackered can't wait to see your bump. Don't be daft - I was laughing my head off at your earlier post Grin

sasamaxx they've got some on ebay most are pickup only but there's one coming up in 2 days 8 hrs currently at 99p but with 12.99 p&p
here

not sure if that'll work as haven't linked before. but you can search with nearest your post code first.

ttl so pleased for you. it's lovely seeing it isn't it?

post has just been and still no appointment letter. i'm starting to get obsessed now. i think if i don't get one tomorrow sod the waiting 2 weeks i'll text her. i keep getting odd bits of blood. a bit like bloody mucus (sorry tmi) but then nothing. there is no tantrum face but imagine hands/fists waving and feet stamping.

i mentioned in my previous message about just looking fatter, last time when i was leaving to go on mat leave when i was going round saying bye i had someone ask me why i was going off on leave..... seemed quite suprised when i said that i was due to have a baby in 3 weeks, she wasn't embarassed though just mentioned that she's not very observant and had actually done that before to someone else leaving on mat leave.

cep · 25/11/2010 13:43

yippee it worked :o

cep · 25/11/2010 13:46

leroy so pleased he's cheered up.

who did you sign up with i did - heinz, pampers, aptimil, cow and gate (again) boots (again) sainsbury's, tesco's.

can't remember if there were any others. are there any i missed. i was already on bounty but put another 1 due on there.

sasamaxx · 25/11/2010 13:53

Wow thanks cep - that's brilliant - I'm added it to my watch list. Knowing my luck, it will climb to astronomical prices but you never know Grin

Yay supersunny Grin and thanks for the messages everyone!

Just gotta swap my Take That tickets (2nd July) for tickets a month earlier in Manchester. Smile

LisasCat · 25/11/2010 14:47

I wish my ticket/due date clash was that easy.

The scene:
1st October 2010, Glasto ticket day, and what a day it was. Mission bases all over town, in fact spread across Europe, 16 of us hitting the F5 key over and over, for almost 3 hours. Finally success, we've got all 16 tickets. We're going to have the best Glasto ever.

2 weeks later, period late.

2 weeks after that, pregnancy test, 2 pink bars....nooooooooooooooo, not June!!!!!!!

If we'd just stuck to the plan, I could have gone to Glasto 6 months pregnant, which would have been absolutely fine. But 2 days before due date? May have a fight on my hands with that one.

Stoopid condoms.

knackered76 · 25/11/2010 14:48

TTL - I'm going on the 2nd, well planning to, well thinking about it, well we'll see!

Can't remember who but someone was asking about a doppler. I rented mine 6 long years ago and then ended up keeping so sorry, not much help. But I do know you can get them from Boots, think they are called angel something and apparently they are quite good.

Replaced the battery on mine and thankfully I am alive afterall Grin Also spent about 15 mins the other day trying to find Bob and finally did :) So lovely to hear the sound of a tiny, very fast beating heart Grin I had another go today and found it straight away, think I could listen to it all day . . might even calm me down when the other 2 are going mental at each other Grin.

cep I would start making a huge fuss now, how many weeks are you? I can't believe how hard some of you have found it to get a scan date, rubbish :(

Leory - if everyone else is on board it's only a matter of time before mil does as well! So pleased things are looking up, hopefully a bit less stress for you :)

Nurse - hope all's okay!

knackered76 · 25/11/2010 14:50

xpost lisa - hmmm bit of a tricksy one that. Methinks you may not have the Glasto you thought you would!

jasmine51 · 25/11/2010 14:53

Hi all
It seems like a nice positive day for all, except cep...what rubbish service on the scan dates

Just planning stuff for next week - the christmas lunches are starting! Can I eat anchovies?

sasamaxx · 25/11/2010 14:57

lisa there was a lady that NEARLY gave birth in glasto last year I think - or was it the year before? She took the newborn back there afterwards too.

sasamaxx · 25/11/2010 14:58

here

takethatlady · 25/11/2010 14:59

lisascat I'm sure a woman went into labour at Glastonbury this year and then went back, baby and all, and just carried on. It was her first, too - I saw it on the news!

I'm not exactly recommending this Grin but it depends how much you want to go!

takethatlady · 25/11/2010 14:59

X post!

sasamaxx · 25/11/2010 15:00

lol

takethatlady · 25/11/2010 15:01

Grin at 'it is a great start to the festival' and 'it really made my weekend'. As if she bumped into her favourite act backstage or something Grin

Good on her, I say!

cep · 25/11/2010 15:06

sasamaxx you're welcome, but as i said do a search and sort in order of nearest to your postcode, you may find one near you.

knackered i'll be 11 weeks tomorrow, i know it's not really late and that there was someone on here over the 12 weeks who still hadn't had their scan (sorry whoever it was memory REALLY bad at the moment) i'm just impatient and frustrated and as i said earlier just want to know everything is ok.

jasmine i'm not too bad honest just tired, (and frustrated grrr) ds still in pain from ear ache and none of us have slept propely for 2 nights. Why would you want to eat anchovies??? :o

neenewps · 25/11/2010 15:21

Good to hear about the weight thing. Thanks kara and ttl

ttl I see this is your first too... we may well be racing each other :o

At least we all get to wear dresses and flip flops when we start getting very large with attractive swollen ankles :o

jasmine51 · 25/11/2010 15:21

cep ha ha, yeah well there is that. Maybe bump is developing sophisticated taste...ie moving on from the spagetti 'oops I've been living on so far. Its a French resturant no doubt full of undercooked meat, runny eggs, mouldy cheese and cold seafood I cant touch (sorry if thats made anyone dive for the loo). Just trying to be sure there will be something on the menu I can confidently order without sounding too obviously pg!

jasmine51 · 25/11/2010 15:23

neenewps..or attractive underbump shorts with white swollen corned beef legs hanging out the bottom...mmm
