Hi all,
Got home eventually after 5.5 hours at the day unit. Almost lost the will to live and was tempted to tell them just to keep me in! DCs were both pretty well behaved, despite the length of time they had to hang around and as it was over dinner time. We got home and poor wee DD2 (just turned 4) was too tired to even eat dinner and took herself off to bed
.
In summary, still got pre-eclampsia (v high bp and protiens in urine, coupled with some lovely shiny swollen feet). Meds have been upped and I need to get bp checked each day until section on Friday. So it's back to the day unit tomorrow, but kids are at school so that should make life easier. I think they would have brought the section date forward, however, they closed the unit when we were there as they were snowed under with labouring women
.
Glad to hear I'm not the only one with pregnarage
. I was even nice to dp's mum when she called for an update just after we got in. Apparantly, after discussing my situation with various people, such and such's two friends both had sections and I shouldn't be concerned as one of those ladies was a "big lass" and didn't have any problems "even though she was really fat". Ummm, thanks for that
, luckily I have already came to terms with my fat-assedness or I could've been pretty upset by this conversation!
Am I the only person suffering from insomnia at the moment? I swear I am surviving on less than 2 hours sleep in each 24 hour period. Awake all night until 6am ish and then finally fall asleep just in time for the kids to wake me up at 7am (waaah). Dp's been pretty good getting up with them at the weekend, but I may have to kill him if he continues to insist that the six minutes sleep I had on the couch at 1pm (before DD2 woke me to tell me off for snoring!) is the cause of the aforementioned insomnia. He just doesn't get it! I've had no "extra" daytime sleep for two days, so max total of 4 hours sleep but still can't sleep now. Have tried warm baths, couch, bed to myself, going to bed earlier/later it's almost soul destroying!
And, as you can tell, lack of sleep makes me ramble on and on and on and on....
