Due July 2011?

MadAboutTheBoys · 24/10/2010 07:42

Just got my BFP this morning and so excited! Managed this conception while DH was out of the country so very chuffed that it worked! Already have two DS, one who is 3.2 and an August birthday and one who is 16 months and a June birthday so bring on the Summer parties!

Have never been part of an antenatal club on here before but as this is planned to be my last pregnancy am hoping to find some other July mums to share the journey with (although know I am very early!) Am already worrying how the birth will go as DS2 was born unexpectedly in the kitchen after a 90 min labour with the midwife only just there to catch him, so am a bit worried if subsequent labours are supposed to go quicker whether I will have anyone with me for this one, but at least I have a while to go yet!

You'd think that having done this a few times before I'd feel less ambushed by the symptoms! So far I

-can't bear any waistband over my stomach, even my nice soft pjs
-feel a little nauseous, not really sick but like I have a huge lump in my throat like somethings on its way up or down
-am not in the least bit hungry, but that's when I have to eat or else end up being sick

I could go on but it's boring me already

-oh yeah, short attention span!

Am getting properly excited now though. Can't stop picturing a lovely little baby in my arms.

It's going to be a long 8 months (again)!

notnearlyasblondasiwas · 23/11/2010 08:44

Morning all, congratualtions on all the new BFPs! I look and feel like something the cat has dragged in. I didn't have any ms with my first pregnancy and I feel so nauseous all the time at the moment. Really really disgusting. And I am huge! I can't button my trousers and dh has started to joke it's twins, I am getting a bit worried! What is everyone drinking? I usually drunk loads of water but is making me feel even sicker, any suggestions?

SpannerPants · 23/11/2010 08:56

I've got my 2nd scan tomorrow and am praying that everything is ok. I'm trying to relax but I can't help thinking negatively Sad

ddas · 23/11/2010 09:28

Good luck with 2nd scan tomorrow spannerpants .

nnanaiw : I seem to be having the opposite; if don't drink enough water makes ms worse but means I'm having to go to the bathroom a million times a day lol but if it helps the nausea I'll put up w anything!

Worried that going to be huge by time baby comes- keep having to eat continuously or the nausea comes back. But some days don't really have much ms and start to worry something is wrong lol- god I'm turning into a crazy pregnant lady lol. But on serious note those who have done this before did u find that symptoms seemed to come and go?

Ivegotmrbitey · 23/11/2010 09:57

I am eating like it is going out of fashion, I have never been so hungry in my life! Snack of choice is marmite on wholemeal buttered toast. It really hits the salty spot but doesn't half give me heart burn.

I am seeing my GP this afternoon to get into the MW system. I am a bit anxious because my nephew (sister's little boy) was born with a hereditary and life threatening birth defect. He's fine now (and unbelievably beautiful) but it was a long time before we knew he was going to make it. I am wondering if I can push for an earlier scan on that basis. I suppose I can only ask.

I have just bought some new bras from tesco, ones for fuller busts as I went from a d to a DD over night. They are really comfortable and 100% cotton and only £6. I am reluctant to spend a lot this early as I suspect they are going to get a lot bigger!

MissLolita · 23/11/2010 11:00

Great news highheels!

MrBitey what is so exciting/unusual about your other half's lifestyle??

Buttonmoon and Falling my dh is out of work too but we're muddling through. We've got a lodger moving in on Sunday and he has an interview today for a Christmas assistant in M&S - every port in a storm and all that!

Smiler80 · 23/11/2010 11:03

Hi jigglebum - I've had a terribly stuffy nose and sneezing for a while now. Didn't quite understand it as I don't seem to have a cold and it felt just like an allergic reaction but without any cause... Could it be this pregnancy rhinitis thing? I had never heard of it before.

emilyplus1 · 23/11/2010 11:05

hey girls got a question wondering if yous could help?

I work as a heath care assistant in the community and i have just got next months off duty and Im ment to be going to a very heavy clint that I am ment to turn and reposition by myself as am a lone worker. Do you think that i should bite the bullet and tell my boss that am pregges? I didn't want to tel her so soon tho. Confused x

Ivegotmrbitey · 23/11/2010 11:08

MissLolita I have no idea! He is also non-plussed (and very annoyed that dispersions have been cast on his manliness). His only hobby is surfing and I am under the impression that regular submerging in cold water is good for male fertility. Maybe she was referring to the constricting nature of his wetsuit? I am going to be doing as little ante-natal activity with her as possible for fear we will get into competitive pregnancies! Good luck to MrLolita for the job interview and fingers crossed for staff discount on M&S goodies. Apparently M&S staff also get first dibs on the sale.

Ivegotmrbitey · 23/11/2010 11:12

emilyplus1 can you tell them you've pulled your back? When was he last assessed for manual handling? You shouldn't be under any strain moving someone regardless of pregnancy.

emilyplus1 · 23/11/2010 11:17

she get assessed all the time and they say its ok for 1. we do use sliding sheets n she has an electric bed. I dnt go to her v offten so its even worse coz am not use to dealing with it.

Ivegotmrbitey · 23/11/2010 12:02

Maybe you should ask your Dr or midwife for advice? You know how difficult she is to move so if you are worried you should say something. Good luck Smile

MissLolita · 23/11/2010 12:26

Emily I agree with MrBitey - ask for advice

Good news from MrLolita - he got the job at M&S - 6 weeks Christmas sales assistant - eevery little bit helps!

GruffaloMama · 23/11/2010 13:03

Hello - can I join? I have been lurking and kind of feeling brave enough to join now. I hope we all have healthy, happy and straightforward pregnancies. Smile

Got my BFP about a fortnight ago. Due on 23 July. Had some bleeding last week but seems to have settled and still getting good strong positives on the HPTs. Also 'feeling more preg' - heartburn, mood swings, sore nipples, particularly when feeding DS (btw thanks for info ref tandem feeding LadyGG never intended to but DS is still very attached...)

I also feel this is my worst pregnancy for feeling sick. I am now being sick at least once a day. I want to sleep bit them can't seem to get up again. Luckily DD gets school transport home as after nursery run in the morning dont think I could face leaving the house. I wonder if it's just cause this is my 4th pregnancy that I feel so exhausted and sick. No sign of more bleeding so hopefully blood clot is staying put. 8 weeks to go until hopefully start feeling normal again.

Hi Ladies

can I come in ? A bit tentative as I had a mmc in July and can't quite believe I had a positive result this month Smile.

Delighted to be bringing up the rear and have added myself to the very long stats list !

I seem to be alternating between feeling awful and feeling okay, just tired. Of course when I'm feeling awful I want to cry as I feel so rough and when I'm not I start to panic as I'm not feeling ill. DP is starting to get a bit fed up I think, although he does do the "jiggle test" when I'm stressing at him worrying that my boobs aren't as sore as they have been :)

Hello everyone,

I posted on another July mums thread but want to say hello here, too. This is my first ever pregnancy (due July 3) and am excited but nervous about everything that could possibly go wrong! It was an unexpected pregnancy (but very, very welcome - we were planning to try next year and I was off the pill and using the rhythm method. Never was very organised!).

Feeling very fat and bloated, especially round the waist but also my face! Feel a bit gross, to be honest, but am trying to keep the exercise up and eat right.

Good luck everyone. Oh, is there a place on mumsnet where I can find other mums-to-be in my area? (Walthamstow, N London).

Oh never mind - I found the 'Local' section. If there are any mums-to-be in Waltham reading this, do get in touch if you'd like a cup of tea and a chat.

Feeling bloated and rubbish! I lost quite a bit of weight over the few months before a I found out I was pregnant. Now 5 weeks, I suddenly feel really bloated and already my smaller clothes I bought to celebrate weight loss are getting tight! :(

Riddzy · 23/11/2010 17:20

Me too, Cake - I read that you're only 'supposed' to gain two or three pounds in the first trimester - I guess I shouldn't take that as gospel but it's kind of depressing because I think I've gained at least that already! Not helping that all I want to eat is sweet food ...

cake4breakfast · 23/11/2010 17:39

I ate a whole packet of jaffa cakes yesterday - despite repeating 'don't do it' to myself as I was handing the cashier the money!! There is no hope for the jeans I bought..
