Due July 2011?

MadAboutTheBoys · 24/10/2010 07:42

Just got my BFP this morning and so excited! Managed this conception while DH was out of the country so very chuffed that it worked! Already have two DS, one who is 3.2 and an August birthday and one who is 16 months and a June birthday so bring on the Summer parties!

Have never been part of an antenatal club on here before but as this is planned to be my last pregnancy am hoping to find some other July mums to share the journey with (although know I am very early!) Am already worrying how the birth will go as DS2 was born unexpectedly in the kitchen after a 90 min labour with the midwife only just there to catch him, so am a bit worried if subsequent labours are supposed to go quicker whether I will have anyone with me for this one, but at least I have a while to go yet!

Hello all,
I love reading everyones posts. So reassuring to hear how everyone is doing and seeing everyones worries and expereiences.

I went to see the doc last week and now have an edd which i have added below.

Just wishing the scan would come round as quick as poss and i too have concerns all the time of whether i feel sick, sore etc etc. As soon as I feel normal i think oh dear. We are a funny lot as I think if all is ok, i should relish not feeling sick for the next few days as i am sure it will catch us all up soon.

Love the recommendations on what to drink, it will be useful for us to share our 'excuses' used for not drinking at xmas dos, already panicing that my friends will suss me as soon as i say im not drinking!

Hello all, I haven't read the whole thread, thought I'd just jump straight in.

I got my BFP today, didn't even think I was pregnant really, just getting fed up of waiting around for my period (cycle is out of whack because I'm already tandeming!) and got bit of a shock!

I think I'm due 4th July but I don't remember when my last period was, it can't be earlier though. However I have three premature babies under my belt and will most likely be having a May baby, but I might push out to June.

I'm rather worried about it all because I have PGP from past pregnancies which is already acting up, I am autoimmune so have to inject everyday (urgent referral on Monday as GP can't prescribe it!) and I know if I want to VBAC I will have to fight them but if I go with a section it will be a planned crash. I hadn't planned on having anymore, I thought I was done and two is a nice number.

emmywoo · 21/11/2010 08:35

Congratulations confuddledDOTCom, sorry to ask but what is PGP and VBAC.
xxxxxxxx

LadyGoneGaga · 21/11/2010 08:45

Welcome, Confuddled. Wow! How are you finding the tandeming? It's a bit top of mind for me as still feeding DS (2.6) and he's very attached to it. Not sure that I really want to tandem but may not have an option IYSWIM. That's if I last. My nipples are getting pretty sore and I'm not enjoying the feeds so much right now. Am half hoping the milk changes flavour and he decidedes to stop so I get a little break before next one. We'll see.

I'm afraid I don't know what PGP is? I may have autoimmune issues as have anti-thyroid antibodies. Had a mc in September but it was my first mc so of course no tests as yet. So a bit scared also and taking baby aspirin as read it can help. I'm sure you will get your head round it all soon - and thre is a lovely number too!

nicolamumof3 · 21/11/2010 09:41

morning all, just to let you all know that my seabands seem to be really helping with ms not sure on PGP but VBAC is 'Vaginal Birth after Cesearean' i believe?

Ivegotmrbitey · 21/11/2010 09:47

Hello, congratulations everyone! I got my BFP yesterday and so I am just catching the end of July. I'll read up on the rest of you now. This is my first pregnancy and I really don't know what to expect, so I am very pleased and relieved to have found this thread.

Hello ladygonegaga, fancy seeing you here Smile

fallingandlaughing · 21/11/2010 09:52

Hello and congatulations mrbitey.

Nope! Still in shock and horrified to find out that while gaviscon works amazingly on heartburn it is also the most disgusting thing I have ever put in my mouth!

I?m tentatively going to join you all as only 4 weeks so early early days. Due date not till 31/07/11 so since my first, likelihood is it?ll be an august baby if all stays well. And I see at 26 I am the baby of the group!! Nice to read all the posts and see that I?m not alone in feeling sick and worried all the time that something could go wrong. I think until I see him/her on a scan won?t feel 100% real-think DH feels the same.
Really struggling with ms-started just over a week before my missed period (had a BFP bout 6 days prior to missed period so hormones obviously kicked in quick lol) and seems to be getting worse: fingers crossed that?s not a trend!! My job involves night shifts and have 2 7 night oncalls coming up-so will have to just constantly snack to stop being sick as want to wait until it becomes impossible to hide a bump to tell work.
Look forward to sharing this journey with everyone especially as a newbie to the game!

emmy, PGP is pelvic girdle pain (previously known as SPD) I'm probably the first person on here to have it but won't be the last! It's when the joints of the pelvis (like soft spots after your own birth they fuse and unfuse when you get pregnant to ease the birth) become too lose so the pelvis is painful and moves around. VBAC is Vaginal Birth After Caesarean.

LadyGoneGaga, I enjoy it! It's been lovely to watch them bond over it, I don't often have them both on at the same time, but when I do they wrap up together and stroke each other. My eldest didn't accept the youngest until she'd seen her nurse and it was like that sealed to her this was her sister as I'd put the work in with her to ready her for it. Eldest feeds a few times a week so it's not a big deal really. Last time my nipples were in agony but this time I've not noticed.

I was going to tell Mum yesterday but she went out with my sister and I didn't get chance, so we planned to tell her this morning. We went into her room when we woke up and she said "Can I ask you something? Are you pregnant?" she said she just looked at me last night when she came in and knew I was pregnant! What's this? Maternal instinct?

Countrybunkin · 21/11/2010 20:02

Wow there are alot of July Babies! I found out a few weeks ago, but for the last week I have had some very light brown blood spotting and lately have been having a dull stomach ache/cramp, which is worrying me a bit, I think I might call the midwife in the morning to see what she says, other wise symptons are v.tired, some nausea and sore breasts which seem to be growing by the day which is taking abit of getting use to!

Hi ladies,

Congrats to all. I'm due 17th July - have added my stats below.

I was planning to keep this pg a secret until 12 weeks, as you do, but events overtook me at work this week. I managed to slam a big metal door on my finger, really hard. I went for first aid but passed out on the way. On the 'way down', I hit my head on another door and was out cold for about a minute! Woke up with about 10 people round me, all debating about whether to get an ambulance for me and in my semi-conscious state, blurted out tearfully "I'm pregnant!" Cue panic stations from all present! DH picked me up and took me to hospital. Had to wear a lead apron for my X-ray. Turned out finger was broken so I didn't feel like such a wuss for fainting!

So the cat is well and truly out of the bag!Blush Hoping no more dramas before 12 weeks!

Although we were trying I'm not pleased yet as DH lost his job on Monday so am feeling v Confused

Countrybunkin, brown is good, it means it's old so anything that happened is in the past.

Orchid12 · 22/11/2010 09:14

Just adding myself too. Have been so ill that I haven't been on here much - just been surviving!

LadyGoneGaga · 22/11/2010 09:24

Morning Orchid. You still feeling rubbish then? Sad

Orchid12 · 22/11/2010 11:13

Morning Lady Yup, still suffering Sad. I thought I was coming out of it over the weekend, but had a relapse last night and vommed my dinner back (sorry!!). I've had so much help over the past few weeks from family that I don't know what I would have done without them. Poor mini O is really touchy and clingy to me as he knows I am out of sorts. He's normally quite a happy little soul, but at the moment the slightlest thing sets him off and he just wants mummy cuddles (which is all well and good but if I get the slightest whiff of a nappy then I'm sick, even just wet ones!!).

How's things with you? I hope the baby asprin are making you feel more in control Smile. Did you have MS with Mini GG?

LadyGoneGaga · 22/11/2010 11:42

Not massively. I felt nauseous if I didn't eat but never was actually sick (apart from the week where I got actual food poisoning, blee). Mum and sis never had it bad either. I found the gut wrenching tiredness was the worst thing for me (combined with feeling slightly sicky). A bit tired so far and favouring a 10pm bedtime but I know/hope worse is to come Grin

Welcome ddas by the way. You've usurped me as latest in the month, yay! Is ok though, we'll get to benefit from a wealth of experience.

Mitchell81 · 22/11/2010 11:59

Wanted to ask a question. I have consultant and scan appointment booked for when I will be 10 weeks, do you think I will have to have another scan 2 weeks later or will that scan be ok for my 12 week scan??? iyswim

Twit · 22/11/2010 12:01

Congrats to everyone, there's alot to catch up on.I suppose I should phone to arrnage a mw appointment, but am a bit Blush cos the last time I had to do this they laughed. Still that was over three years ago now...
Anyway I don't wnat to spend my entire time here moaning ... Grin
Misslolita with back pain I found that pilates for pregnancy really helped me.
nicolamumof3 actually anyone with sickness; eat eat eat. I know you really don't feel like it, but I swear the only reason I didn't thrown up day and night for minths with dd and ds3 is because I kept eating. Biscuits, glucose tablets, flatish coke etc all help bump your blood sugar up, then eat carbohydrates to keep it up. I hate this part feeling shite all the time but when it passes you can eat properly again. I also find fresh air helps and listening to music on my ipod, for some reason it can help me stop feeling icky.

I'm so sorry to hear of the losses on the thread. I hope things work out for you and that we see you on another thread soon.

Eglu · 22/11/2010 12:01

Morning all. I've been feeling really sick but not actually been sick yet. I'm forcing myself to do stuff today, as I think not doing things is making me more tired.

I'm also trying to buy a new car this week. Think I'm going to get another scenic, had one before and know that I can fit 3 car seats in the back easily enough.

LadyGoneGaga · 22/11/2010 13:10

Why did they laugh at you, Twit? Sounds a bit harsh!

Eglu I really could do with replacing my car as it's a three door and although I managed with it just about with the last baby having to try and hoick a toddler and a baby in is just too much. I might have DP's car if he decides to get a new one. Is an Alfa though and 7 years old and am sure is just going to break all the time! So might rethink.

Mitchell not sure - are you having a nuchal scan? Because pretty sure that has to be done between 11 and 13 weeks so I would imagine they would have to do another one. But prob best to ask them. I will be under Consultant care (was last time) but I still have to book with midwife and not til 8 weeks which is annoying as think they should monitor me more closely this time due to the mc.
