DillyDora · 28/09/2010 14:27

moonstorm please could you come and do my house now?

O god, Richard Armitage...how is he real? I luff him also...

Know what you mean about seeing sad people at the hospital nymph awful...and better to make your big decision in your own time I think.

Potential Hallowe'en baby there Cheeky, I am due 21/10 but if he has to go over he can go to Hallowe'en - though his half-bro will be insanely jealous as Hallowe'en is his favourite event of the year!! (Which is odd cos my bro in law is a goth too.... what an odd family...)

Vikks · 28/09/2010 14:58

Cheeky Hello! I'm your hospital buddy! Shall we hold hands? Grin

ILoveGregoryHouse · 28/09/2010 15:12

Cheeky, welcome. I'm due on 30th October too.

Well, I think DS2 has chicken pox. Am pissed off as I meant to get him the vaccination and never got round to it. Bollocks. This means DS3 will get it too. Double Bollocks.

shieldbug · 28/09/2010 16:03

ILGH Oh no, what bad timing on the chicken pox front. Hope they have become uninfectious by the time your LO is born.

hello and welcome again cheeky

Does anybody else get to see the programme "special deliveries", or is it only here in NI? It's based at the Royal Ulster maternity unit. I love watching it, but every time a baby is born I'm in floods of tears! I also get myself worried about how long labour can take and whether I'll be able to cope without making a fuss. Oh well, I guess I'll find out soon enough.

ilgh oh what a pain! Have you had CP?

Hermya321 · 28/09/2010 16:51

Shield I was reading New Moon last night (I know, terrible) and I was in floods of tears. I never ever cry at books or TV.

For those who are interested, here is a thread about a promo code for 40% off at Oh Baby London.

I'm trying to make up my mind about what sling I want, well really it's coming down to colour at the minute. I'm trying to decided between the pacific colour or the one with the owl on it. Argghhh!!! Confused]

ILoveGregoryHouse · 28/09/2010 16:55

Hi. I had CP when I was a child so okay. As long as I don't deliver in the next two weeks to make sure all spots are gone. Humph.

Hermya, I like the plain one.

Evening all!! 39+3 and grumpy!

BionicEar · 28/09/2010 18:43

Looby - congratulations on safe arrival of your little chap!

How exciting all these babies in 1 weekend - but again I repeat did they not realise they are meant to be Oct and not Sept babies?!!! Tee hee!

cheekymonkeyno3 · 28/09/2010 18:43

thank you for the welcome.

Dilly you are due on my "perfect baby date" beginning of half term - lazy mornings for all. i have spoken to the little wiggler about this and i think he/she understands lol

Vikks so are you from Bath then? i grew up there but now live nr Chippenham.

moonstorm · 28/09/2010 18:48

Hermya I got a plain Moby one (although I like them both!) Mine's burgundy, but they don't seem to be doing it now. Love those colours, though.

Seashells any signs of labour?

ILGH That's a real pain, but better now than just after the baby's born x

Welcome to everyone joining us again!

Got through ds's birthday Smile - nowv the baby can come!! Although would prefer after 1st October - hope the universe remembers I booked to go into labour on Saturday afternoon Wink

Hermya321 · 28/09/2010 18:57

Thanks everyone for your input, I went for the plain one in the end in the Pacific. My friends got one and her baby just looks so snuggly in there, I can't wait for my baby to make his appearence.

Is anyone else feeling a bit grotty, I'm just feeling a bit off and my tea didn't appeal at all this evening. I made DH eat it in the end.

Moonstorm I've made my order for the 05/10/10 in the evening. I don't know why but that date appeals.

Seashells How you doing?

ILGH Thats annoying, I hope your LO's are well though.

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 28/09/2010 19:31

Ilgh - bad timing for dc to get cp Sad I hope it all passes before LO makes an appearance.

Hermya- good choice!

Moonstorm- glad the birthday went ok, now you relax :)

Shieldbug- I can't watch anything like that at the moment, I'd be a mess lol

I'm ok, but no show, bh are strong but not painful and LO doesn't appear to be anymore engaged. Ds was born 13d ago iykwim, and was 8lb even in 37th week, so everyone keeps asking how I'm doing - which is scared stiff of a 10lb baby turning up goodness knows when!!!

I'm sure I'm not alone in that feeling!

dontstopmenow · 28/09/2010 20:07

Hermya - I have that exact sling in same colour - very good choice!!! Now we just need babies to put in them!

Have been bouncing on my ball thing and drinking the hated raspberry tea all day and really don't feel like its making much difference. Will have another walk tomorrow - as brisk as I and DS (3) can make it. This is not usually that brisk to be fair as there are always a lot of things like conkers that are more interesting than one foot in front of other!

No more babies arrived today then??!

lilmissmummy · 28/09/2010 23:11

Vikks and Cheeky waving at you from Marlborough :)

ILGH oh no sorry to ear about the CP. Thats bad timing!

Hermya the Pacific one is beautiful, really lovely colour so I like that best! Good choice dontstopme :) I think they are lovely and very tempted to order one for ours too!

moonstorm I would like to go into labour on Saturday. Would suit me very well!

No sign of LO here either, heartburn is raging though. I have a hospital appointment tomorrow, having a scan, seeing diabetic nurse, consultant and getting my induction date! Will tell you all about it tomorrow! :) Although I think I will put my hospital bag in the car just in case!

Aaargh! I've developed a nasty itchy rash on my arms that is driving me crazy. Added to the constant itching of my stretch marks, I'm going nuts! Does anybody know if you can use H45 or Lanacane in pg? I know it says not to use without drs advice on the tubes, but they may just be covering their backs.

On a different note, I have finally ordered my exercise ball so no doubt sproglet will be born before it arrives!

Hope everyone sleeps ok tonight

shieldbug · 28/09/2010 23:15

lilmiss x-posted. Good luck with appt tomorrow.

SilverSky · 29/09/2010 04:15

Me like the slings! I like the Pacific or the Moss!

BTW the Nct Online shop has a sale on.

One MW was telling me that most babies or at least labour kicks off in the night cos you are relaxed and chilled out and that doing activity such as brisk walking can encourage the baby to stay put. Anyways just thought I would share! Like anything to do with being preggo not everything works for everybody.

I have woken up for the loo and am now wide awake. Drives me crackers. Least I won't be shattered for work!!! ;)

nymphadora · 29/09/2010 05:03

Good luck with appt lilmiss

silver I've been here since 2ish now and am BORED. Dh was awake before that to talk to but he kept falling asleep on me so I left him to it. Baby seems to have been awake since 4am yesterday apart from a few hours sleep last night (assuming they slept when I did)

shield I don't know about the itching creams but I use bio oil on mine which keeps the itching at bay - can't think of anything else to suggest apart from maybe e45 anti itch cream. I used that for dd when she was little so it might be suitable for pregnant people.

Sorry to hear about the lack of sleep again! I must have just missed you as I managed to drop off at around 2ish so I feel quite refreshed, especially as dh got up and sorted the dc out this morning so I am still in bed!

Bit nervous about later but I am sure it will all be fine!

Mmm buttery crumpets!!

I had a very bad day yesterday, 4 migraines in a row, had to go doctors in the end to have an injection to stop me vomiting. The jab really hurt and its hard to work on my leg now. Have my consultant appointment today at 11.15am and they will want to know if baby has moved which i cant answer as when ive been ill im too out of it to feel her.

38+5 weeks

nymphadora · 29/09/2010 10:23

I got back to sleep about 6:30 and slept mostly til 9:45. Dh took kids to school which made it much easier.

Tyson probably a good job you are seeing the Cons today , migraines are awful . Have they got worse through pregnancy?
