Just took 50 mins to eat a (small) bowl of soup for lunch (dh made bread AND soup from scratch YUM!) because I was having contractions and baby was objecting. Was so hungry too. Feel sated now but v tired!

Dh has gone to join the gym & have induction but he has his phone & I can call the gym if I need him.

Can't remember having contractions with the other two apart from in labour with dd2 and this time I've had loads.

Congratulations KSal and welcome to Orin. Cool name, but not one I've come across before. Does it have any special meaning? Glad to hear everything went well, even if it sounded all rather painful. Thank goodness they managed to get the cord sorted ok.

My goodness nymph sounds like this baby is eager to be born. Hope you make it to the planned date ok.

Hermya Ouch at your LO's trick! Sproglet unfortunately worked out how to do this some time ago. It's embarrassing when you can't help saying ow and you get asked if you are ok. I don't really want to confess I've just been headbutted in a sensitive place!

Well, I took myself to the drs with the rash this morning and they are concerned it may be a sign of a liver problem (producing too much bile salts) so I had to give a blood sample. I'm not quite sure what the implications of this are (hopefully nothing to worry about really), so I'll go and scare myself on Google now! The itching is still not responding to any creams and I am feeling very sorry for myself!

This is so exciting... can hardly believe we are actually having babies!!!

tiredfeet · 01/10/2010 15:33

Congratulations tyson!

Just trying to figure out my new phone so bear with me if the message goes weird! Had a lovely new haircut today, asked for a low maintenance one as I suspect hair care will be low on my priorities for a while! My parents have started ringing almost every day for news its driving me up the wall! I have pointed out several times that they will be the first to be told but they can't help themselves!

cheekymonkeyno3 · 01/10/2010 17:04

congratulations KSal and Tyson and welcome to the world Orin and Sophie - how exciting.

can't believe october is finally here - due the 30th so still a while yet but even still what an exciting time for us all.

pleased to report baby is head done - not engaged but 3rd babies tend to wait until last minute for that i've been told. very very painful ribs today tho ouch.

decided i may have to give in and drive to school from next week, its a mile each way and defiantly suffering now - todays rain didn't help tho.

35+6

Hermya321 · 01/10/2010 18:17

COngratulations Tyson!

I've just been to see the midwife and she thinks LO might be breech. I personally think she's wrong, but I'm not sure. The thing is he's lying the same way as he was at my last appointment and she said he was head down last time.

When he moves I can feel brushes just above my pelvis bone which I assumed were his hands, and I can feel a definate limb in my right hand side which I assumed was his foot.

So anyway, I have to go for a presentation scan next week. How can you tell if babies are breech or not?

Arrrghhhhh!!!!

Elsa123 · 01/10/2010 18:34

Hermya does the hard lump at the top swing from left to right through the day and esp after eating? Its normally a bottom! Both the head and bottom feel very hard, but the rib poking you've been getting is indicative of a normal lie. The scan will be helpful and also, babies turn randomly all the time, some even in labour. Mine's been head down since about 27 weeks but I distinctly remember the mw once saying that she 'thought' it was head down. A scan I had at 36 weeks confirmed it was.

I thought I would start a post natal stats list in post natal for all our babies! We can start a new thread in post natal when we judge most of us are popped?!

I thought the list could include date, gestation point, sex, name if you want, birth type of you want ummmm and anything else you can think of!!!!

Hermya321 · 01/10/2010 18:47

Elsa Oh yeah, his favourite trick is to rub this lump back and fourth across my bump and then stick it out.

nymphadora · 01/10/2010 18:52

hermya & elsa sounds like what I'm getting! And they are pretty sure mineis head down. hermya at least the scan errs on the side of caution

seashells bored or trying to remember who said what? Grin can we update the other stats as people move over?

cheekymonkey all getting ready to go!

So who is next? Wonder how sophie&bump are

moonstorm · 01/10/2010 18:56

Hermya When ds was breech, I got loads of kicks to my cervix - sharp and hard! This one is surposed (supposed? Can anyone tell me the difference between the two?) to be head down and if I feel anything to my cervix it's more of a slow 'soft' push. The bums are also surposed to feel like a solid hard lump, whereas the head is a hard lump that can gently be moved from side to side a little.

Still nothing moving for me - I had planned to go in to natural labour tomorrow... I could wait until Sunday, but I had it all planned Grin

Hermya321 · 01/10/2010 19:31

Nymph True and at least I'll get another nosy at him.

moonstorm No they've been like soft brushes when I feel movement andany cervix stuff is more like a push than a kick.

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 01/10/2010 19:44

Nymph Grin rumbled! I can't remember who has done what, so thought it seemed an idea, plus I am trying to distract myself!!

Hermya- sounds like a bum under your ribs to me- at least the scan will be an excuse to say hello to lo again!

Hermya321 · 01/10/2010 19:51

Seashells Try the sperm race game, it is strangely addictive and ironically funny considering our current state.
