Bloody hell congrats skater!! Wonderful news! I can't believe it, I'd got it into my head that you weren't due for another month (can't think why Wink). Brilliant! And great news on the easy labour. fanny my labour was fine, it was the week before that was the problem and cunty's baybee came on time but took a bit more pushing, eh. So I guess you're right!

Comma's got a cold and combined with reflux the poor thing is having a bad time :(

I on the other hand have consumed approximately 15 figs today. We've picked about 50 today and there's several hundred left on the tree, not ready yet. cossie maybe you should pop over for some - may have the same effect as castor oil only a bit tastier Grin.

CUNextTuesday · 05/09/2010 22:53

Yey skates!! Well done girlfren, glad to hear it was a piece of cake... Looking forward to grinding my teeth hearing all about your easy birth Grin

SilverSky · 06/09/2010 06:09

theHenLady think it was a Patterdale terrier. Certainly looked like one. It is so annoying when you see a loose dog as it could be so dangerous. I wouldn't be surprised if dogs attending xc day eventually get banned.

Insomnia strikes again. Brain overload nut helping. Must stop worrying. Everything will be A ok. I am sure. Gonna be knackered at work today now too.

Hayfever is back with a vengeance. Gah!!

Hope those with poorly bodies are soon mended!!

SkiHorseWonAWean · 06/09/2010 06:15

Huge congratulations skater - we all knew it'd be you and we don't even have any stinky Herve for you. Confused

CluckyKate · 06/09/2010 07:45

Happy Monday everyone.

Box/Cossie - hope you is both busy laying now that Skates has got the ball rolling.

I thought Patterdale too Silver - that's what we has. Blimmin' fast & disobedient those things, especially when chasing stuff.
Horse did v. well to ignore it too but you're right, is tres dangerous.

Thanks Ski - has jogged memory as think you've mentioned Curvy Kate before

CurlyCasper · 06/09/2010 08:07

Just a quickie from my holibobs to say MASSIVE congrats to skates! well done FESHie. Can't wait to hear more about your wee girl (another girl - yeay!)

If I leave it another couple of days to log on I expect there will be more baybee news? Wink

Seriously, I hope cos and box are doing ok. sneezy thoughts.

laurielou · 06/09/2010 08:17

skater CONGRATUMALATIONS! Fab news to start the week. Well done on the polite sneeze of a birth - that's what I like to hear.

SkiHorseWonAWean · 06/09/2010 08:27

I think the sneeze has been wasted on skater and this is my reason: IIRC skater-parents coughed up for a posh sleb style birth and as usual skater was in such a hurry I doubt she even read the room-service menu or even hung around long enough to shovel the Molten Brown goodies in the en-suite in to her handbag. Grin

Casserole · 06/09/2010 08:34

Yaaaaaaaaaaaay Skater ! Congratulations and bloody well done on the straightforward birth story. That's the way to do it! (says she, who made much more of a dog's dinner of it Grin )

Enjoy these first few days.

Now, tell us - is she beautiful? Wink

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 06/09/2010 08:43

HOORAY FOR SKATERBABY! Hope you are both doing well!

Planning to catch up later, just off to yoga birth prep class then have niece and nephew for day (feel exhausted already). Hope Switty is doing ok ...and. that I haven't missed anything else major.

Backinthebox · 06/09/2010 08:44

Ski maybe it's BECAUSE Skates had such an amount lavished on her that the law of sod happened and she didn't need it? I am hoping that I have shelled out thousands of pounds on private IM and alternative therapies this time and will look back and think 'well, that was so easy why on earth did I spend the price of a luxury ski holiday on having a baybee?'

Rots am very Envy of the figs. I have lots of unripe ones on my little fig bush, and have had about 4 ripe ones so far. I can smell one though - bush is by the back door and every time I go in or out of the house I can smell it, but can I buggery find it? Sad I am still trying to palm marrows (er, courgettes that got out of control) off onto unsuspecting passers-by.

Cluck big horse was filmed apparently soaring like a bird over fences on a XC ride at Cotswold Farm Park Ride (google the pics at Equisnaps and he is on page 2 of yesterday's ride pics. Looking a lot smaller with a bloke on him who is - shock, horror! - over 11.5 stone! Depends whether he makes the cutting room - it was filmed for Countryfile.

Also for Clucky if your hip is giving you jip - get thee to the osteo lady and she will fix it quick sharp. (I love the osteo lady, in between being scared of her.)

Funny comment of the day from DD; I'm lying in bed having a little doze, OH is in the shower with DD. She likes showers - she will most likely have a shower with me too later on. Suddenly I hear a gasp and 'Daddy! there's something wrong with your bottom!' 'Er, no, there's nothing wrong with my bottom darling.' 'Yes Daddy! You have something WRONG on your FRONT bottom!' Snigger. OH is mournfully coming to the conclusion the innocent days of sharing the bathroom with his daughter may be about end.

Muser · 06/09/2010 09:04

Throwing up every morning was starting to get a bit dull. Luckily, my body always knows how to liven things up. So now I get to throw up while simultaneously losing half the blood in my body out of my nose. The bathroom looks like a slaughterhouse. Very hard to plug nose and puke.

Still, my groin appears not to hurt this morning, so that's something.

OP posts:
SkiHorseWonAWean · 06/09/2010 09:23

Are you farting yet whilst your head explodes? Pissing yourself? Taken perhaps to standing in the bath to puke?

MrsFC · 06/09/2010 09:29

God muse, that's grim... How many weeks are you now? Does it show any signs of abating yet?

Muser · 06/09/2010 09:36

That doesn't really help ski.

15 weeks MrsFC.

OP posts:
Headbanger · 06/09/2010 09:39

Oh Muse that sounds wretched Sad.

SomethingSuitablyWitty · 06/09/2010 10:08

skatergirl - congratulations on the new arrival! Amazing news! Your birth story sounds like it would be a lovely reassuring one, so here's to sharing it if you get a chance and can free a hand to type...

muse amazing 5km triumph, but sorry to hear about the groin trouble. THink if you do no more running that will gradually sort itself out. Nosebleeds combined with puking sound dreadful. No good advice on how to deal, but others may know more...Sad

As for me, was at the doctors this morning and feeling pretty reassured by that visit. He did a scan of the cervix and said that while there was some signs of opening on the inside, that the outside was still closed and the length was about 3cm (which I think was an improvement possibly due to weekend of extreme rest and sherry treatment). He told me that I can keep working for now, though I can't walk to work anymore or do any sport or much physical effort of any kind, and that's all good as far as I am concerned. I am really happy actually. I see him again in two week's time.

cheggers · 06/09/2010 10:13

just a quickie - as am (as ever) one handed ...

congratulations to skater and the gorgeous new besh baby. so pleased for you and skaterboy Grin

'result' on the birth too - high five Wink

muse poor love. here, have a ginger Biscuit

Casserole · 06/09/2010 10:15

Musealot have you thought about going to docs for some antivom drucks? You've been putting up with this for a while now love. I'm so sorry it hasn't stopped yet, and now the nose bleeds too. Tis hellish Sad

Casserole · 06/09/2010 10:17

Oh Witty that's brilliant news. Well done you and your cervix Grin

iggypiggy · 06/09/2010 10:23

Exciting news! cossie had a baybee!!!! A boy, yesterday evening!

Congrats to skates too!!

Muser · 06/09/2010 10:24

If I was vomming all day I would Cass. But it's only first thing so mostly I can just get on with things. It's the addition of the nosebleed that is pissing me off. I may see about getting my snozzle cauterised instead.

Secretly hoping a week lazing in the Greek sunshine next week will cure everything and I'll come back full of joy.

Wonderful news Switty. Keep taking it easy, that's an order.

OP posts:
Muser · 06/09/2010 10:24

AAAAARGH! I knew it I knew it. I KNEW Cossie was laying a baby yesterday. I just knew it.

Wonderful news. And a little boy. Oh bless.
