oooh Hooooooooooooray Gruff! Another another Cub for the gruffalo pack!! Grin

that's assuming the sonographer is right this time!! :)

Ses- Glad your DH was nice to you- :) and the NCT do was ok.

Hi Tink :)

we also had an NCT thing at the weekend- was great. I was holding a tiny newbornd and felt a MASSSIVE surge of broodiness that continued all weekend, confirmed by nearly welling up at sight of a newborn in the garden centre yesterday.

back laters.

Rugbylovingmum · 14/12/2010 11:50

Morning all,

It's our work xmas party this afternoon so everyone is having a slightly lazy morning and I thought I'd grab the chance to post.

Gruff - congrats on another little cub GrinGrinGrin. Sorry I forgot to ask about your mum but it's great to hear that she is feeling more upbeat. BTW we tried the flannel on the radiator trick with DD last night and she had a MUCH better nights sleep so thanks for that Smile.

Giraffe - that sounds like a huge slip towards the edge of the wagon, are you sure your seatbelt is tight enough Wink. I have been feeling a bit broody recently but I'm sure it's more for the ML than a new baby, I'm so sick of my job . I'm glad you had a good NCT get together.

Tink - I agree with cream or grey tights. We got a cheap pack of plain grey/cream/pink tights from Primark which is useful as at least 1 pair will go with any of her dresses/skirts. I'm sure loads of stores have similar packs.

Ses - I'm glad you enjoyed your NCT meet up and that you didn't feel too Envy of your friend. It's strange the way people ask you about DC(2) as though you can just decide "hmm, I think I'll get pregnant today", particularly when you have DC1 already. I know loads of couples who have taken a while to conceive DC2 and they found all the questions really hard after a while. I really hope you have some good news to share with them next time you meet up!

DD is a bit better today - she is more cheerful and doesn't seem to be in as much pain, plus she got a bit more sleep last night. She is still very clingy and won't eat but hopefully we are going in the right direction. I felt bad taking her to nursery today but I had a meeting and DP has his appraisal so not too many options but she was crying and reaching for me when I left Sad. She doesn't do it very often so it always makes me feel awful. I'm sure she was fine once I left and I'll pick her up early . Usually she is very happy to be dropped off as she loves her keyworker and her little friends. She is moving up to the next room after xmas which I was a little nervous about but she loves the girls up there and likes being with the older kids.

tinkisbrrrrr · 14/12/2010 13:02

Quick hello from me!

DH is away tonight and I'm meant to be writing Christmas cards and wrapping presents but am MNing and watching The Apprentice!

Thank you for all your kind words. I am feeling a lot better but still a bit fragile IYKWIM. I do think it was hormone related. I used to get really bad PMT pre-DS that overlapped into AF and I think that's what has started to happen, combined obviously with the disappointment of AF arrival. Just hope I get that BFP soon so I don't go through this every month!

tink - (as ever!) great shopping!

Gruff - great news on your 20wk scan and yay for a little brother for GC :)

Giraffe - newborn cuddles sound lovely :)

tinkisreadyonthetopofthetree · 16/12/2010 09:25

hi ses
i saw apprentice too what a grilling havent finished it yet so dont know who went through

mean hormones
i started today and have a bad cold!!

piir dc

Diege · 16/12/2010 13:09

Just letting you know I'm here but enhulkfed in the house of sick...poor ds has had to be put in nursery for an extra day so that poorly dd3 can be wheeled up to see dd1 in the school play. Have 2 buggies but obviously can't push both. Arghh!!!
Also enjoyed the Apprentice - stuart certainly got all he deserved Grin. Af here too, and 15 LP so pleased with that
Back when I get some respite from the sick bay...

Diege · 16/12/2010 13:09

That should have read 'engulfed' Blush

Starshinetiger · 16/12/2010 21:51

Evening all. Hope everyone's snuggled up in the warm. I am stranded in Duesseldorf due to snow when I should be back home from my trip by now. They closed the airport before our plane could land so nothing to fly out on. Please keep your fingers crossed for me that the airport here and heathrow are okay tomorrow so I can get home. Luckily am with BA and they had us rebooked for tomorrow on a coach and at a posh hotel within 75 mins while other airlines had long queues. Now just need to get my laptop to work, so I can do all my work tonight and not worry about it tomorrow :{

Ses - glad you are feeling better, I regulRly spend time thinking about things too much and getting confused about whether I should be at home with DC instead of working and over-analysing whether the decisions I've taken in my life were the right ones and hormones in contribution with that are a killer.

Diege - sorry for poorlies. Hope Dd3 is better soon and the others don't catch it.

Gruff - yay for news about DS2. Hope you are going to get a chance to take it a bit easy over Christmas with DH at home. Great news about your Mum getting treatment too.

GYo - tee hee about broodiness :) You know you want to undo that seatbelt - 2.5 years is a lovely age gap (as is any age gap really :)

Well DD has had chicken pox - today is day 7 and she's on the mend but has been really poorly and it's played havoc with her sleep. She was back in nursery today and luckily my Mum is over to "help out DH while I an away"! But obviously a godsend with me being stranded. Just waiting for DS to get it now - surprised he hasn't got it yet, but apparently it can take 2 weeks, so that'll be just in time for Christmas then! They had 11 out at nursery with it earlier this week (6 were out by the time DD came out in spots). Ah well, is getting late here. Fingers crossed my PC starts to work and I get home tomorrow (sorry for me post)

GiraffeYoga · 17/12/2010 08:56

Morning All

VVV quick one from me...

Star- hope you get back safely from Germany. Sorry for the pox :( fingers crossed DS will get it done and overwith soon.

Nose woke me at 4am!
At least dd2 is good

RuDiegetheRedNoseReindiege · 17/12/2010 11:48

Hello! Syranded in Dusseldorf does sou d arther exciting STAR, but I'm sure it feels far from that for you, so fingers crossed the flight gets sorted and you're back home soon x
TINKS, cold sounds a bad one - hope things improve soon x
LOve to everyone else. DD3 still bad here and ds also poorly. NOt sure how I'm going to pick up older dds from school not having a double buggy Hmm. Times like this when a friendly neighbour would be a god-send to sit in with little ones while I go up to school. May have to be sling and buggy job though ds's 29ib bulk won't be easy on the old hips/back/neck!

GingerbreadGiraffe · 17/12/2010 12:32

very quick one to show off new christmas name (inspired by Diege's new name!)

tinkisreadyonthetopofthetree · 17/12/2010 14:34

luv name gineger girafee Xmas Grin
dd1 home from school early

essenceofSES · 18/12/2010 18:41

Hello all! Loving the Christmassy name changes :)

Star - sounds like you had a tough week. Hopefully you're home now but only to more snow! Has DS come out in chicken pox yet? Hope DD isn't suffering too badly.

Diege - sounds rubbish with all the poorlies. How did you go on the school run in the end?
15 day LP is v impressive! Where are you on this cycle? I'm CD10 and got my first high on the CBFM this morning so gearing up for a week of GOFing Grin

tink - hope you're feeling better?

Giraffe - did I read right, you've now finished work for Christmas? Envy

All fine here but I'm a real grumpy pants when it comes to the snow! We've had about 12" fall here today so not going anywhere soon!
DH did manage to get out this morning and bought me my Christmas present. We tend to have odd years when we're quite extravagent and other years when we just give token gifts. This year is an extravagent one Grin I'm getting him an iPad and he's getting me diamond stud earrings! The box he's wrapped up is much bigger than an earrings box though so either they're really posh or there's something else in there too!

It's been a rotten week at work. Last Saturday arsonists caused a fire in Eastbourne that completely gutted one of my stores. Some sickos have posted a video of it on YouTube. They're going to have to knock it down completely and rebuild so in the meantime - because we have a contract with the PCT for dispensing there - we're setting up a portakabin type thing for the pharmacy! All in the busiest week of the year for retail and probably the coldest week off the year too!

We're watching the Strictly final tonight. Anyone else? I hope Kara wins but I do like Matt and think Pamela has done really well!

RuDiegetheRedNoseReindiege · 18/12/2010 19:46

Hi SES! That's awful about the arsonists Sad Just what you need before xmas eh Sad
Yes, sorted school run in the end with friend collecting the older 2 dds after I begged down the phone Wink Xmas gift sounds exciting SES Grin. I've always wanted a pair of diamond earrings, but usually have to settle for a box of chocs and some anais anais Hmm. Would love some Victor and Rolf Flowerbomb perfume but that's too complex for dh
Doing some wrapping now, and then a dvd I think.
Hope everyone's well - lots of snow here (makes me grumpy too) and dd3 and ds poorly...Never mind, this time next week it'll be nearly over Wink

cantmummyjusttakexmasdayoff · 18/12/2010 21:25

evening- Just popping in as been ordering DS's bday present.... Blush his bday is tuesday but between DH's days off, poorlies and snow i've not managed to get his mane present... He's asked for a new scooter as his old one was for his 3rd birthday so thomas the tank- and he's well grown out of it now!! Just ordered one that looks perfect for him now and will be delivered on monday hopefully!! :)

have finally started to feel better, after i posted last i got something else and was ill for another week!! Just can't believe my luck!! Tho hopefully i'll have it out of my system by xmas. Good job i was almost sorted for xmas and DS's birthday bar the scooter!! I'd have had no chance in getting anything done between now and xmas if i hadn't been!!

Right- i'm pooped after a busy day snowball fighting with the DC's and my sisters this afternoon. Off to jump in a bath and then into bed.

Will try and get on again before xmas!! Grin

GingerbreadGiraffe · 19/12/2010 13:08

Hi everyone!

Cant- glad you are feeling better. Scooter sounds good. I hadnt realised that your DS had his bday in Dec. :)

Ses- arsenists sound awful :( Though your xmas pressies sound fab! Yes, I am now off for xmas until 4th Jan. Although- I still have one last piece of work to do before I sign off for good- so I will do that now whilst the Small Giraffe is asleep.
You really have had more than your share of the snow! We've had another 7 or inches here and so far i've got the drive clear so I am hopeing to venture out later. I cant deal with being stuck indoors tomorrow!

Fingers crossed for forthcoming ovulation and GOF week!

Diege- hope poorlies are better soon. I know what you mean about snow grumps!

Hi Tink- how are you feeling today? I hope not too anxious this week. Its a miserable feeling that I know too well. Take care of yourself.

Best get going on this bit of work
Back soon

xx

tinkisreadyonthetopofthetree · 19/12/2010 14:06

essenceofSES · 19/12/2010 14:22

Hello it's obviously nap time for all the little ones!

Tink - that's awful about what happened with the wheelie bins! You must have been pretty scared when you woke up to that!
Next shopping sounds good!

Giraffe - hope you get that last bit of work finished ok!

Cant - Hope you should all be clear of the poorlies for Christmas and DS's birthday! How old will he be? Scooter sounds good, as does the snowball fight!

Diege - Hope DD3 and DS are both feeling better today?

Hello everyone else :)

Right, I have a choice of ironing, writing Christmas cards or present wrapping....

GruffaloSoldier · 19/12/2010 16:41

Hello there! Just a quick post while GC is playing nicely!

I finished for Xmas on Friday too :) Go back Jan 5th. It feels good as I have dropped my 3-6pm shifts (was awful! I was so tired at that time of day) and I have reduced my hours. My hours will also be in the nursery with the child so I will be in the same building as GC :) Doing Wed 9am-12pm and Thurs 12pm-3pm. Doing for 6 weeks then I just over see admin until maternity leave. Can you tell Im over the moon? :)

Ses - I am so sorry to hear about arsonists that is awful. There are some sickos out there :(

Cant - sorry for more poorlies but glad that you are better now. Hooray for getting back on track with bday pressie ordered in time.

Tink - Next goodies sound good! I have asked for next vouchers from FIL for Xmas so I can buy some nice maternity bits :)

Diege - I hope DS and DD3 are better soon!

DH has bought me really nice boots for Xmas but I am wearing them already Grin I needed them, I couldn't wait! He has got me some other bits too but they are surprises. He is very good at buying presents!

Right I better go as GC has pushed a chair up to the big window and climbed up to try and open it. He can't open it (yet) but he looks a bit precarious - whoops too late, he fell off! See you later everyone...

tinkisreadyonthetopofthetree · 20/12/2010 10:58

Starshinetiger · 21/12/2010 10:36

Morning all! Just had my aerobic work out for the day - pushing DD in the buggy to village and back though the slushy snowy pavements - don't know how you with more snow are coping, we only have a few inches! Just having a quick sit down (DD has fallen asleep in buggy) before we go to nursery to hear DS sing. Hope you're all coping with the weather okay.
