Thanks Nat. I got to the nursery and she was laid outnon just a vest with a flannel over her. When she sat up she look dreadful. I admit to panicing a bit and askIng how they didn't notice her getting ill Blush Anyway I pretty immediately got a docs appt and she's got ABs and sterioids as she was so wheezy. Really hope it's not asthma related.

Will post properly later.

Thx again nat. X

Hello!! Nice to hear from you MMM - good idea to get back while you can from Scotland. Brrr!!
Nothing much going on here. Dh out with dcs while I supposedly start sunday dinner prep, though have gravitated towards the computer as always... Still waiting on ovulation, which I suppose may be delayed after mc.
Love to all!

tinkisbrrrrr · 28/11/2010 17:38

TINK not good about car, hope its not too bad.

been my parents today as CANT went with dcs so seen them all Grin was a good day.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 28/11/2010 20:34

Evening- marking my place.

Again- have been keeping up but never finding time to post atm...

Had a bit of a scare this AM... had a GOF, and was bleeding afterwards... but it was a bit like a show aswell... then the bleeding stopped after about half an hour... but then this afternoon had another gloopy clog 'fall' out of me when i went to the loo- again looked like a bit of a show...

Haven't phoned MW as in all honesty have no pains or anything, and all they'll do is put it down to GOF and send me home.. Have decided that if bleeding starts up again or i get pains that aren't 'normal' then i'll most likely pop to hospital to be safe... Now with it being pg no4 i seem so much more relaxed, had bleeding after GOF with all of my 3... and with DS was in hospital a few times on MW recommendations...

Also haven't told friend as dont wanna worry her- she'll feel how i felt with DS as she's never been so involved with a pregnancy... dont wanna tell her i've bled and done nothing and leave her thinking either somethings wrong and i'm not getting it seen to or worrying i'm not 'bothered' about the pregnancy as it's not my baby...

Do you think i'm doing the right thing? I'm just feeling a tad guilty about not telling her something as i've told her everything so far... but dont wanna cause worry for nothing, and also dont really wanna explain that it was down to GOF really either...

argh!!

Sorry for the me,me,me post- just very mixed up about what to do... i plan to tell her if anything developed and i decided a hospital trip was the best idea.

Diege · 28/11/2010 21:20

CANT, I'd leave if I were you (the telling the friend) as it will only caiuse her to worry, probably unnecessarily. As it's usual for you in pregnancy I don't think I'd be too concerned, but do take care and contact the mw if any poains start etc (I'm sure they won't).
TINKS, bummer about the car Sad. Intrigued that you found out they were German speakers - how did you know? Confused
Back to I'm a Celebrity nowBlush

essenceofSES · 28/11/2010 21:34

Cant - I can totally understand why you've responded how you have. I don't think there is an easy answer in the circumstances as I also think if I was your friend I would want to know.
However , it really doesn't sound anything significant to me and, I think as this is your 4th pg, you have a much better idea of what's going on than anyone else and the biggest lesson I've learnt as a mum is to trust your instincts.

Tink - Oh no! Hope you're ok and you manage to get something sorted with insurance.

MMM - glad you had a good day and I agree, probably very wise to come home.

Diege - hope you had a good meal. Very likely that ovulation delayed a little. Have you any signs of it being iminent?

Giraffe - I hope SG has recovered?

Nat - hope you've had a good weekend?

Good weekend here. Went for a carvery with some friends this afternoon. DS has been very happy, giggly and chatty :) Still no definitive words except for "yeah" but he did start saying "giggle, giggle" for Igglepiggle!

I'm still feeling ultra broody - surrounded by pregnancies and babies. Being paranoid about when I ovulated. What do you think?....

Hello Diege :)
x-posted as I was watching Xtra Factor too! I'm avoiding I'm a sleb. Ant and Dec are great but I just don't get how it is right to involve the animals as they do or eat the bugs, testicles, etc Confused

GiraffeYoga · 29/11/2010 08:01

Morning all

V cold , minus 8 at home this morning at 5.30am. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Diege- hope ov appears for you soon

Cant- sorry to hear of bleeding. I'm with Ses and would probably want to know if I was the friend - but given its her first pregnancy experience, maybe its best not to worry her....

Ses- i've not got any temping experience so cant comment on your temps...

SG is a much better, still wheezy and coughing but not at 40 deg now TG. I was asked to take her back to the docs once she is recovered for them to look at her breathing as she was so wheezy last week. We are dreading any form of asthma diagnosis as her dad is severe asthmatic (ie will be in hospital in 24hr if he doesnt take meds)..
Im hoping its just the chest infection.

This cold weather just makes me want to curl up under a duvet and hide. I just cant ever get warm these days. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Rugbylovingmum · 29/11/2010 14:14

Hi all,

just grabbing a rare quiet moment to post. DD has a cold and has several teeth coming through so she is being very cuddly and is usually sat on my knee. No hope of posting without her bashing on the keys.

Ses - sorry you are feeling broody, the 2ww feels endless sometimes. I can't help with the temps, sorry.

Tink - that's so annoying Angry.

Diege - hope you ov soon.

Giraffe - so glad SG is better

Gruff - glad you are feeling better. I may have missed this but why are you booked in for a c-section (if you don't mind me asking)? I had a c-section with DD and wondered whether I would be offered an elective if/when we have DC2 - I don't know what I would do.

Hi MMM, Nat, everyone else

Do you remember I said that I was having problems at work? I am quite fed up with research but also having difficulties with my boss. Well I have a big meeting with my head of department tomorrow - I asked for a meeting to discuss my research and what I need to do to get a publication but he is going to want to know why I need to see him and the probs with my supervisor will come up. I do think that he needs to know about the problems - they affect everyone in the group - but I don't want to just moan about her. I'm making a list of the important points and I'm going to try to stick to it - wish me luck!

maxxymoosmummy · 29/11/2010 15:50

hi all,
M is still having a nao he went down at 12.30 Shock and no sign of him waking any time soon.
stayed in today as its just to cold to do anything if i dont need to. not much snow yet here still. jus a little bit white this morning, jus wish it would come, then at least the cold will be worth it.
made felt stockings with DS this morning, and his dad came round to see him for a bit.

SES sorry i cant help with temping, hope you know soon.
RUGBY hope meeting goes well. and hope C gets better soon.
GYo glad SG is getting better, and fingers crossed for you that it isnt asthma related.

hi to everyone else TINK,GRUFF,STAR,CANT,DIEGE,NJ anyone else ive missed or whos lurking.

Diege · 29/11/2010 16:06

Hello! RUGBY, sounds a tough call with work but I think if you stay focused then all will be (more than) fine. If the supervisor issue is on relevance, then I wouldn't have a problem mentioning it tbh. Good luck!
SES, looking at your temps I'd say you ovulated on day 19, but rather cryptic I agree! I have a hint of EWM today (cd 17?) so hoping things will get going again soon.
MMM felt stockings sound very creative! I'm sure ds had fun Smile
TINKS, ahh I see about the German now Grin. What a pain before xmas too AngryGYO glad dd is on the mend. Don't worry to much about the chest, bit do bear in mind that (imo) they massively overdiagnose asthma on the NHS so maybe be prepared with your family history for them to take that line (been there!).
LOve to all - just back from dentists and now trowling through work e-mails. Roll on summer eh!

GruffaloSoldier · 29/11/2010 16:17

Hi all

Well GC ill again! Had a high temp from Sunday morning and currently still has it, just won't come down. Took him to the docs this morning but he said just a virus, but to keep an eye out as could be too early yet. (for infection) Poor little mite kept waking up and coughing up loads of mucus it was terrifying :( So looks like he won't be at nursery again on Wednesday!

Gyo - sorry to hear about SG but glad she is on the mend, now. Fingers crossed that there is no asthma link.

Cant - sorry to hear about bleed etc but hopefully it will be nothing and all is well. I would maybe see how you go and if there is any more then let her know??

Tink - sorry to hear about car :(

Rugby - Hope C perks up soon and good luck for meeting.

Regarding my elective (no I dont mind you asking:)) With GC I had a uterine tear from labour which has left me with a scarred uterus. This is grounds for an elective in itself but I am also from a family where the women have small pelvises but have babies with big heads. Also, GC engaged face down and could not descend through my pelvis and still has marks on his neck from the pressure of getting stuck. And this along with the failed forceps delivery GC had to endure where he was pulled further down into pelvis and then was subsequently pulled back out again (the whole table was violently shaking back and forth as they tried to pull him out again) during the c section that followed. GC had lots of feeding problems when he was born due to his birth and trauma to his neck so basically I do not want another baby to have to go through that. I have no probs with elective though its all good!

Sorry that was a bit long.

Hi to Ses, MMM, Diege!

Sorry to anyone I've missed!

tinkisbrrrrr · 29/11/2010 16:40

Hello

V quiet here.

Is everyone buried in snow?

OP posts:
GruffaloSoldier · 01/12/2010 08:45

Hellooooo!

I am here! GC had a high temp for 4 days now, I am off work today and he is off nursery. Poor child has an awful cough and cold too.

DH cycled in to work yesterday in heavy snow (took an 1 hour and a half, usually takes an hour) and stayed over (a sleep in shift) and will be cycling back today. He is a nutter. Our car park and road is a snowy ice rink!

Gyo - did you have to drive in? I heard the M3 was a nightmare!? We are due more snow today according to local radio.

My mum has a meeting with consultant today about the course of action they are going to take for the secondary cancer so I will be waiting to hear what is happening. It will be good to know so that we can get things planned. ie Xmas and visiting and stuff. And how long it is going to go on for.

Hello to any lurkers!

Where is everybody?

Maybe you are right GYo- maybe everyone is up to their armpits in snow Grin

cantmummyhaveabreak · 01/12/2010 09:26

Well i've had no more bleeding and no abnormal pains, so decided to not tell friend... really didn't want her worrying and thinking she needs to get over when i'm not really worried...

DH is a bit :( that GOF's will have to be on hold for the forseable...

No snow here, keep having warnings that it may snow but none as yet... i'm glad- dont want any this year- couldn't manage the school run last year between slipping and trying to force the pram through it all... and dont wanna risk falling and doing some damage while pregnant- but i'd not want DS to miss out with his 100% attendance that he has so far!! It'd be so hard...

essenceofSES · 01/12/2010 14:19

Cant - pleased to hear there's been no more bleeding or pains. Hope the snow stays away for you!

Gruff - poor GC! Hope he's back to his usual self soon.
Thinking of you and your mum today. Hope the appointment is constructive.

tink - sorry, Sylvanians not really my thing!

Snow - nightmare here! I picked up O from nursery at 5pm and tried to get home but there was a huge stationary queue. Ends up it was stretching for about 10 miles on the A23 and not moving at all. I decided to turn round and went to my parent's. Just managed to get the car up their road and then waited for DH to come and get us in his 4x4. DH left Heathrow at about 4.45pm and finally got to us just before 11pm!! My car is still at my parent's and I don't know when I'll be able to get back to pick it up! Thankfully I don't work Wednesdays but I don't know what I'll do tomorrow!

Hello everyone else - hope you're all warm and safe!

tinkisbrrrrr · 01/12/2010 15:25
