GiraffeYoga · 25/10/2010 07:30

Morning

Quick one from me

Diege- those symptoms sound encouraging. Lets hope that temp change is due to implantation as Ses suggested. Got everything crossed for you :) Weekend sounds good.

Ses- Im a bit [hhmm] about the man flu on your behalf. Glad to hear you got your GOF though and at a good time. Fingers crossed for you too [hgrin]

Cant- sounds like you have nothing to worry about if you didnt have unprotected sex with DH. Glad you are feeling reassured.

Tink- hi!

We had a good weekend which was nice. The SG continually amazes me at the moment, she is learning stuff so fast. Its a pleasure to be with her (well most of the time :) )

I had a new kitchen mixer that Id wanted for years delivered on Friday- I'd not bought one since they are very £££ but I was given some vouchers from work for good performance so though Id treat myself to something I'd never normally buy. Its fab and looks lovely in the kitchen

Oh and randomly I am not totally unbroody. No idea what happened but for the first time in ages I've been really sure I dont want to be pregnant at the moment.

Ooh megapost, better go and do my pelvic floor exercises in private (dont ask!) and do some work :)

Enjoy half term for those having it [hgrin]

OP posts:
Diege · 25/10/2010 10:13

Mmm GYO that pelvic exercise ref sounds intrigueing - not semen-emitting kegels in light of what you said about unbroodiness? Wink
Well, temps back up this morning but clear bfn (8 days post-ov) and pretty resigned to it not being my month. Busy one today - meant to be 'working from home' but dds off with half-term so have promised cinema etc Hmm. Off to Cardiff for work weds/thurs, and then to London with a friend on sat, so just putting in the hours before I get a bit of freedom Grin
Hope everyone's ok and enjoying the half term if relevant (or not as the case may be Wink).

GiraffeYoga · 25/10/2010 11:02

Bugger the BFN already Diege. Maybe its too early? weekend away sounds good :)

I almost LOL'd at my desk about the semen emitting kegels! Wish it was that interesting.

Im still broken from the SG. Am under a women's haelth phyiso and have very focused exercises to do 3 times a day -(only I usually manage twice at best Blush ) . Not sure its getting better really.

Anyone else still got such isshoooos? Maybe it was just result of a near 11lb baby?

GruffaloSoldier · 25/10/2010 21:04

Hi all,

Well had a mixed day today. DH is on half term so had a lovely family day. Had to tidy up the flat at lightning speed this afternoon as we had a viewing for the flat. 5 mins before the guy arrives and Im in mad cleaning mode, and my mum rings up to tell me she had seen the consultant today and they have found secondary cancer in her liver. It is a very small amount so we are trying to remain positive, She will be starting her third lot of chemo ASAP. Feeling very sad understandably but trying to remain positive that she will beat this.

On a lighter note, the guy that viewed the flat seemed to love it so have my fingers crossed that he will buy it.

Ses - sorry to hear about your DH playing up, sounds like he needs a large kick up the derriere!

GYo - yay for kitchen gizmo and not so yay for having to see physio - I think youre right. Having a a whopper of a baby might have something to do with it Wink Hope it gets better for you soon.

Diege - sorry for BFN but as they say it aint over...etc etc. I would say 8 dpo could be too early. Also 8dpo could be imp dip. For AF you shouldnt get a dip til 14dpo or later. (IIRC) depending on when your AF usually shows up. With GC I didnt get BFP til at least 14dpo and I tested at 10dpo and 12dpo and didnt get a hint of a line!!! Dont want to get your hopes up but equally - ITS NOT OVER YET!!!!! Wink

Hi to any lurkers

essenceofSES · 25/10/2010 21:14

Hello Gruff!
Really sorry to hear your mum's news. Does sound like they've found it early so hope the treatment works.
Fingers crossed on your viewing.

Giraffe - I had no idea what kegels were so just googled. Wikipedia came up with a lovely picture of a kegel exerciser Grin Hope the physio helps anyway. Your weekend sounds lovely, as does your baking - any brownies?

Diege - sounds like you had a great wfh day! Hope your London trip at the weekend gives you some "Diege time" - sounds lovely.
Makes me think we really should do that wagon spa meet up sometime....

Really cold here tonight so I've lit the fire. DH (maybe trying to get back in my good books again) has cooked us steak with jacket potatoes for tea so having a lovely snuggly evening :)

Diege · 25/10/2010 21:18

Gruff that's awful news about your mum; I'm so sorry Sad It does sound like things have been detected quickly though, and may well be contained, but I can understajnd how stressful it all must be for everyone concerned. A big hug for you and yours xxx

gyo I'm clenching as I'm reading about your exercises - come on, sit ups etc are hard enough to get done daily, but pelvic floors?? Wink Had forgotten that SG had been so big!
Right, off to bed with a stinking cold so see you all tomorrow x

GiraffeYoga · 26/10/2010 07:07

Morning

Waaayyy too early today!

Gruff- Im so sorry to hear about your mum's secondary cancer. Its good to hear you are staying positive but it must have been quite a shock for you. Best wishes to the gruff family.

Diege- sorry for cold

Ses- evening sounds fab with the fire.

I went out with the NCT ladies last night was great. Our next bump is very close to delivery so lots of exciting chat about that. Downside is that Im sooo exhausted today. Never mind, an extra cup of tea should do the job and a lie down on the wagon sofa!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 26/10/2010 08:52

morning!!!

Think i may be able to get back on a bit more regular again....

Firstly the PC has been playing up for the last 6 weeks or so and would take forever to load MN let alone log in and find the wagon to pop by...

Secondly, not this fri just gone, but the one before, it was touch and go if i'd have to go into hospital or not. was so sick, with what seemed like a bug to begin with but made my meds stop working. Luckily the GP let me do home recovery with new medication on strict bed rest till i was well. My friend came over to look after the DC's for 2 days, then my mum had the DC's overnight, then DH had a day off and finally i felt human enough to get out of bed.... Have been doing really the last week and a half and new medication is helping loads.... and to help even more i think the sickness is wearing off slowly but surely... :)

Have caught up- of sorts- but can't remember much....

Tho Diege- i only just got a faint BFP at 10dpo this time round- and even then it was super mega faint... and it wasn't till 12dpo that one showed enough to make me really believe it!! And that was with an implantation bleed at about 6dpo too... :)

Gruff- also very sorry to hear of your mum. Hope she gets through the chemo ok. I know it'll be a hard time for you all, but we're here to offload to when you need it :)

GiraffeYoga · 26/10/2010 10:42

Morning Cant sorry for sickness. Doesnt sound good. Hopefully you are coming out the back of it now

OP posts:
Diege · 26/10/2010 11:01

Morning Smile. Good to hear from you CANT, and great news that the sickness seems to be declining. How awful that it got so bad though Sad
Hi GYO, hope you get the chance to rest a little today.
Interesting about your bfps CANT, though I'm pretty much sure I'm out for this month. It was the spotting that threw me - I was planning on waiting until af was late before testing etc, and then the pesky spotting got me all excited! Another bfn this monring, and a temp drop, so just trying to eek out another few days of LP to give me a decent one!

tinkhasboughtoutalltheshops · 26/10/2010 13:15

Hi guys, just very quickly because we are due off out to see a nursery for DS2, it sounds brilliant, all staff are either qualified or have first hand experience with kids with an ASD, they have things in place to help him etc. finger's crossed he likes it!

Gruff really sorry to hear about your mum, it can be really hard to stay posistive, but it sounds like they've caught it early, and she's done well with he chemo before hasn't she? Finger's crossed it'll all be as easy going as it can be. And thanks again for your offer of advice re. DS2, at the moment the HV is being absolutely brilliant and we're happy with the way things are going, but I will keep you in mind if any of that changes!

Diege, sorry for BFN's, I have not a clue about temping etc. but from what else you've put, I'd say it's still early to give up yet :)

Sorry Tink about dissapearing earlier, it was DS1 on the phone, I tried to message you again, but you'd gone off line.

Right had best get a wriggle on, hi to everyone else, hope you're all well?

Oooh just remembered, thank you for the 'well done's' on my course! Still no final mark back yet, but I spoke to the college place last week and he said I'd passed the last two assignment with "exemplary results" , so I figure it can't be all bad news! :)

Right, I am off this time, see you all soon x

tinkhasboughtoutalltheshops · 26/10/2010 15:01

hi

yes going through insurance
pay £150 excess and get a cheque for what car worth

now need to find a new car before monday otherwise dh cant get to work

gruff - must be hard about your mum

nat - good luck with nursery sounds great Grin
and well done with assingments what great news

Diege · 26/10/2010 17:41

Oh no TINKS that's bad luck! Pressure to get a car fixed up too in such a short time. Could dh use public transport until you get fixed up, or maybe share a lift?
NAT, you star! Grin. I can't beleive your course has finished already; it only seems 5 mins; you obviously have what it takes to be very successful Smile. Great too that your hv is being so good with dd2, that makes such a difference.
GYO hope the coffee does the trick - early night in order!
Off to Cardiff to cast my magic wand over the Welsh Assembly tomorrow and Thurs Hmm, so booking a 48 hr pass out from the wagon. Dh is having to take everyone to a halloween party, so have baked cookies and got the usual tatt from the shops (inc face paints). I'm just leaving him to it now though, as trying to oprganise via the phone is far too stressful..
See you Thurs night if not before! x

GiraffeYoga · 27/10/2010 08:08

Morning
Very wet and horrible out today.

Halloween party for DD at nursery today. I've made her a cat costume. Its look brilliant if I do say so myself. [hgrin]

OP posts:
tinkhasboughtoutalltheshops · 27/10/2010 09:58

hi diege - thanks

dh out looking @ cars today
he doesnt know anyone nearby who could get him to work he works 40 mins away

hopefully he will find something

yoga - cat costume sounds fab Grin

essenceofSES · 27/10/2010 10:57

Morning! Rubbish night here - DS teething with a sore bum and a cold. Day off though so taking it easy. Meeting a friend and her DD at soft play later and thinking I may make a cottage pie for tea!

Tink - that';s rubbish about your car! Hope DH manages to find something suitable quickly.

Giraffe - you put me to shame! DS has Halloween fancy dress on Friday and I've doen nothing yet! Tempted to put him in a white sleepsuit and send him as a ghost

Diege - hope you enjoy Cardiff! How much influence do you really yield over the Welsh Assembly then?!

Nat - "exemplary results" Grin You go girl!!

Cant - sorry your sickness got so bad again. Hope you're over the worst now.

Hello Gruff and anyone else lurking - Rugby, Sorky, Smithy, Kay, Bumps, Moosy and anyone I've missed!

GiraffeYoga · 27/10/2010 11:35

Tink- good luck with the car search

Ses- Sorry for rubbish night - doesnt sound good.

Dont worry, when i say made a costume. I bought some black legging to go with a black top and made a tail. The making bit was only the tail. It was very easy. [hgrin]

our theme was Cats, Bats and pumpkins so as not to scare the small ones :)

OP posts:
NatalieJane · 27/10/2010 11:39

Morning :o (Didn't think it's take long for MN to get back under my skin!)

Tink, finger's crossed he manages to find something :)

Diege, enjoy Cardiff :) And Ses' (sp? Sesses? Ses's? Hmm) question too?!

Giraffe, do we get pics? I'm afraid I'm with Ses, infact I'd probably buy one of those pumpkin outfit things, am useless at sewing/making etc.

Ses, I know! "Exemplary" - not had anyone say that about me since 1994, Mr Pascovski, English teacher (believe it or not!) :o

So, the nursery was ace, got to just fill the forms in, and he can start basically, they do 3 'settling' sessions, and I have slowly began explaining to DS2 that at some point I will be coming away and leaving him to play, he seems OK for now, think it might be a different story at the time, but we'll see!

The new phone line is due to go in this afternoon, so I can get some ad's done and hopefully get them out weekend after next, and then sit back and wait for either nothing or everything! Bit nervous now, what if I don't ever get a job? What if I get one and cock it up? What if it goes the other way and get a few people ringing and I can't do them all? :o T'is all exciting though!

essenceofSES · 27/10/2010 11:59

Yay!! DS is asleep on time so we can go out to soft play with him rested (and I can get on with MN jobs in the meantime) :)

Nat - Hmm... Ses' or Ses's I think!?
Nursery sounds good. He'll soon get used to it and love it. O still throws a strop some mornings when I leave him but when I pick him up he's in no rush to leave.

Giraffe - I'm still impressed - you had the idea of black outfit and made a Cat's tail!! I am hopeless at creativity and hopeless at ideas so no hope for DS as he grows up!

Right! Washing machine is on and dishwasher not quite full - I can progress that by having an early lunch :)

tinkhasboughtoutalltheshops · 27/10/2010 17:31

hi

hopefully dh has found one fingers cross Grin

nat - ye about nursery Grin

ses - hope tonite is better

tinkhasboughtoutalltheshops · 27/10/2010 17:40
