Hello all,

I just realised I put the 1000'th message on our last thread (uh oh, I think that's the limit), so in my Blush at not realising I'd reached the limit, thought I'd better start a new thread if anyone finds it.

OP posts:

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 12/09/2010 22:35

I do not own a bikini. I am scary enough when not pregnant...

tadjennyp · 13/09/2010 04:18

I can't believe that Prof! I'm sure you are all woman and your dh obviously still fancies you Wink. My libido would be better if dh wasn't working most minutes of the day!

byronicheroine · 13/09/2010 06:35

I had a lesbian dream the other night AND Howard was always my favourite. Is there something wrong with me?
My best friend and I went to a concert with a banner that read 'Robbie and Howard f**k Byron and Friend'.
We were 14 - what was my mother thinking?

Wanderingsheep · 13/09/2010 08:07

I don't own a bikini either. They'd ban me from the pool!

Even if my friend was the same size as me, I still don't think I could wear her swimming costume...it's like wearing someone else's knickers!

Byron, Shock at your banner! Did your mum help you make it? Grin

byronicheroine · 13/09/2010 09:11

I know, right, wandering ?
She didn't actually help us, but I definitely remember parading it in front of her in my double denim. I think we took binoculars too. Best concert, like, ever.
Anyway, bikinis are torture instruments and I'm going to wear a victorian chin-to-knee costume when I get to go swimming.
Has anyone started doing yoga? my mum's on a me to start but I haven't bothered yet (obviously still sore at her for letting me out in double denim - yes, I'm aware that it's back "in" now but not happening for me)

Wanderingsheep · 13/09/2010 10:05

Oh God, double denim! PMSL! I used to do that. Now it just looks wrong. Anyone remember B*witched?

Just came back from having my quad test. Fingers crossed that it comes back low risk!

angels1 · 13/09/2010 10:08

ledkr ladies and gentlemen is a term referring to a bit of nookie (with DH, not with friends). Oh cripes, I thought that was a well known phrase - have I made everyone think I'm a little odd now?!

byron's banner made me giggle. I went to a take that concert (my first concert ever) but alas no rude banners for me, but then I was only 11 at the time! I did, however, wear my take that tshirt proudly to the concert. I recall being very upset as the whole tour they had finished the gig by dropping their trousers and their pants read the words 'take that' , but for some reason they couldn't/wern't allowed or something at my gig - I remember feeling quite cheated Wink

I don't own a bikini either - definatel couldn't put the pubic through that torture.

angels1 · 13/09/2010 10:11

wanderingsheep I remember bwitched Blush but definately wouldn't admit to the fact that I was front row at wembley for their concert (extra red blush emotion). Must have been a moment of insanity. No banners involving a swear a la byron* spotted there!!

OP posts:
ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 13/09/2010 10:16

I remember some comedian wondering what the was for in Bwitched, and speculating that they were actually called Bfuckwitched, and I've never been able to think of them any other way since...

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 13/09/2010 10:17

That's "what the [asterisk] was for in B[asterisk]witched", obviously...

wigglesrock · 13/09/2010 10:32

Hi all, been away for weekend, nowhere glamorous, with kids etc but good fun but absolutely knackered. Just skim reading but I heart Howard too!!

It was also my anniversary this weekend, twelve years Shock how did that happen!! Have 20 week scan in 2 weeks and starting to get excited but still in shock about wandering into Tescos on Friday and bumping into an aisle full of selection boxes and chocolate santas!!

zerominuszero · 13/09/2010 13:09

Prof sorry that its such a boring reason but I think it was cos there was some other group called bewitched. But its the one with the artesix that will be remembered forever more for the cest la vie video. That was such a classic.

In other news, Robbie was my favourite and I've never worn a bikini although I have got a flattering tankini for the beach.

Lulabel27 · 13/09/2010 13:29

Hi All
Sorry not been all weekend, we had a blissful relaxing weekend and had fun looking at baby things in mothercare! They were really helpful (much more so than babies-r-us). We bought a pair of baby-sandals in the sale for £4 as they were so gorgeous and we are going to Barbados in April so thought they'd look gorgeous!

Just come back from the 20 week scan. We've told everyone in RL that we don't know the gender but we do really ;-) Its a GIRL!!!! Totally blown away as we were both convinced for some reason it was a boy! She then started to blow kisses at us and made (what looked like) bubbles in the amniotic fluid - so cute I burst into tears!

So hard still referring to her as "it" to other people though in the pretence we don't know!

PS: Yes bikini all the way. Don't care what people think really!

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 13/09/2010 13:38

Congratulations!

I so want my 20 week scan now... only about 5 weeks to go...

Great news Lulabel, although vvvvv Envy re Barbados.

Anyone else really lazy or in my case lazier than usual!! I just can't seem to be bothered to do things around the house etc, nothing major but just feel lethargic, off work today and have loads to do but have just realised the time and that I have just lazed about with dd2 for majority of day Blush

ElleB1980 · 13/09/2010 13:52

Great news on the scan Lulabel and hellow to everyone else too. Been busy over the weekend knitting and chilling (I know, it's a hard life) but have just glanced at the dream comments - I'm a HUGE TT fan, so am hoping for some pregnancy dreams about Mark Owen.....

Been for our 20 week scan this morning as well, I was a total wreck before hand and almost fainted during the wait. Way worse than I was at the 12 week scan - I think I'd scared myself thinking there'd be something wrong with the baby. But there wasn't of course! All is well, lots of wriggling and waving. We did try and find out the gender but (typically) the baby had other thoughts and the sonographer reckoned he was 80% sure it's a girl. I'll be totally shocked if it is a girl as I'd been certain all along we were having a boy!

Anyway...let me at that name book!

Wanderingsheep · 13/09/2010 14:54

Oh two girlies Smile Congratulations Lulabel and Ellie!

Oh I can't wait for my 20 week scan

I really want to find out what we're having. Got a feeling it might be a boy but I'd love another little girl. 50/50 chance of either I suppose!

americanexpat · 13/09/2010 15:26

Congrats on the scans! Interesting that you both thought it was a boy. Mine is next Monday and I feel like it's a boy as well - sure sign it's girl? :)

grigglepuff · 13/09/2010 15:37

Ooooh scans - so exciting! I've got a couple of weeks left for mine...getting impatient now though! We're not finding out if it's a boy of girl until Feb but am soooo tempted. It's going to be hard to resist on the day. I'm convinced it's a boy too - funny how everyone's thinking the same! Grin

Lulabel27 · 13/09/2010 16:00

haha yes 50/50 chance of either but according to all the old wives tales (cravings, position of bump etc) it was definitely a boy so i was really suprised.

I'm really pleased I've found out because now I can bond with the fact we're having a girl if that makes sense and not a boy? As I was so convinced it was a boy I hadn't even considered girls names until now so it's a good job I know and can mentally prepare. The nursery will still be cream/yellow though. No pink :-)

angels1 · 13/09/2010 16:02

Great news on the scans ladies - and guess what - I think mine is a boy too!! Hmm, has someone on this thread been giving us all masculine subliminal messages?!

OP posts:
tadjennyp · 13/09/2010 16:38

Well I was convinced she was a girl, had names lined up and was mentally sorting through dd1s clothes but now we know it's a boy I have to do the same with ds1s clothes and desperately try and think of some names! Smile

Lulabel27 · 13/09/2010 16:45

Haha I think from mine and Tadjennyp's experiences its safe to assume it'll be the opposite of what we think ;-)

Saw a gorgeous navy blue hat with a helicopter on it in Mothercare (my Dad and brother are helicopter pilots) and wanted to buy it. Now its a girl do you think we can still get it or will everyone think she's a boy?

tadjennyp · 13/09/2010 16:48

Gosh who cares what people think, Lula? It means something to you and it's not going to give her gender confusion for life, is it? Wink

Tarlia · 13/09/2010 17:20

Wow, congratulations on all the fantastic scan news!! So lovely to hear what everyone is having! Making me wonder if having a surprise will make me go crazy or not!? Hehe.

I also don't own a bikini - I think they would throw me out looking at my tummy right now, I look fat (to me) not pregnant, especially in maternity over the bump trousers. Is anyone else taking week by week bump pictures? Mum keeps going on at me, I need to remember to start! It will be a nice memory :)

I hope you are all well xx
