Hello all,

I just realised I put the 1000'th message on our last thread (uh oh, I think that's the limit), so in my Blush at not realising I'd reached the limit, thought I'd better start a new thread if anyone finds it.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Wanderingsheep · 10/09/2010 20:01

Is that three boys on the Feb thread so far? Gina's having a boy, Tad and someone else - is it Cheesechomper? So we'll be due some girls!

GinaFB · 10/09/2010 20:45

Tadjenny that's great!! I was convinced girl too so was shocked when we saw!!!

ProfessorLaytonIsMyLoveSlave · 10/09/2010 21:03

Congratulations on the healthy boy!

Good evening all!

It's been a bust few days, I've just had a speed read through and I've missed a lot! Congrats on your 5 yr anniversaries ladies. Dh and i celebrated ours in august this year.

angels we have amongst pram. We got the urban rider for ds but found the chassis a pain. We are keeping the carseat, carrycot etc but buying the new chassis which is much lighter/less bulky.

My scan is next Tuesday. Can't wait to find out the sex. Dh wants a girl but I don't really mind tbh.

I hope those of you who have been feeling poorly are on the mend. My bump is quite big some been getting a lot of back ache

moonminmama · 10/09/2010 21:17

Sorry my iPhone seems to have changed my post into a while new language!

tadjennyp · 10/09/2010 21:51

Thanks everyone, only another 20 weeks to wait to meet him now! I can allow myself to get excited. Congratulations to everyone having anniversaries or special occasions. Have a lovely weekend!

knittakid · 11/09/2010 10:08

Morning all, I feel a bit like a spy, been reading posts and laughing for the past two days...
It's so hard with heirlooms, mine so far has only been a book from 1973 form my MIL, in which it sais things like 'when a married woman misses her period is only natural for her to wonder if she might be pregnant...' or 'today, many women have jobs...'!
At least it's funny, unlike a rusty, heavy, probably not very safe pram.

Congratulations those of you having celebrations, and those who have found out sex!!

I'm finally starting some work on Monday, so my holidays are finishing now, about time, wouldn't you say?

Oh, also, have just taken on an allotment, will go and see it this afternoon, DH has bets on me not doing any work in the forseable future, and I am determined to prove him wrong, I bet lots of you would back him up?

Talking about people due on Feb. that girl in the archers who had insemination is due on Feb....Blush

angels1 · 11/09/2010 10:49

gooness me is anyone else going to admit to watching big brother last night Blush. I'm just watching it repeated on c4 and it's got a whole thing on Jade Goody and it is so sad, I'm in floods of tears. sob. blubber. sob.

knittakid how'e the depression feeling now?

I

OP posts:
ledkr · 11/09/2010 12:14

Had mate round for Chinese to watch it and we both broke down. was really sad and I had cancer at 27 so always bit close to home!
Have a dull stabbing pain in one spot on my abdo been there since yesterday lunchtime. Any ideas?
Off with dd to look at prams as dh clearly not interested! tbh..I'm going thru another anti dh period at the mo.I think we had too much time together last few days. am trying to slow down a bit as been feeling so tired but find that hard enough to do without him rolling his eyes when I ask him to do something...or his latest trick of telling me to sit down then plonking himself down next to me when no dinner or dd needs to go to bed. Told him this last night so watch this space!

americanexpat · 11/09/2010 18:41

knittakid - good luck with the allotment. DH is doing most of the hard work at the moment, I tend to do the easy things like weeding, picking, etc. I'm hoping I'll be able to do more next summer while the baby naps in his/her pram, since I'll be on ML (and probably dying to get out of the house).

angels - are moving soon before the baby is born? We're considering moving but our lease doesn't end until January. Thinking I might be insane to consider that or maybe we'll cover double rent for a month.

ledkr · 11/09/2010 19:04

Oh.I've been so disinterested in buying things thus far maybe cos baby was a massive surprise! so went to the pram shop with dd and dil and was like a kid in a sweet shop. So glad I won't be needing to buy anything else cos will end up spending small fortune on one I'm sure. its very quiet on here tonight I hope you are all enjoying the weekend. I'm ensconced on sofa for strictly and x factor. Love Saturday.
Will let u know about my mad relic pram senario after in law visit tomorrow.

angels1 · 11/09/2010 19:49

americaexpat we are moving hopefully jan. Having a new kitchen done before we move in which has been pencilled in for early jan and takes 3 weeks aparently to do (seems like a long time to me but..) so we'll move in late jan hopefully. I think this is a little insane (I'm the sort of person who buys all their christmas gifts by october and in general a control freak who never leaves anything until the last minute - I can see myself getting stressed about move day) but we have little choice, it's either then or when we have a baby, and thought it would be much more stressful with a baby. It's only 4 doors down the road anyway :)

ledkr I'm already imagining your antique pram and how the street will hear you miles before they see you squeeeek squeeeeeek! Never know though....it might be nicer than expected.

Finally got baby heart beat on doppler last night - hurrah :) DH got a listen too on headphones but then I got the giggles at his excitement and lost it.

OP posts:
tadjennyp · 11/09/2010 21:44

I moved house about 3 weeks before dd was born and it was doable. Also, I didn't have to lift anything Wink and just directed them! I'm sure you'll be fine.

ledkr · 12/09/2010 08:30

First up! Won't believe this but stupid dh has kept me awake half the night weeing! isn't that meant to be me? angels yeah ha ha knew I could count on you for sympathy! I'm going to find out where you live and leave it on your doorstep. are you still getting the oyster? looked at it yesterday its great but not sure if I want a bigger carry cot cos tis very small. I do like them in carry cot as long as poss but I suppose they be climbing out about 6 months. dd walked at 9 months. looked r funny as was so tiny.

angels1 · 12/09/2010 09:28

lol at ledkr. If I hear that squuuueeekkkkkkk in my nightmares I know it's you hunting me down. lol. Might get oyster but depends on which car seats fit it as I have a small 3 door and with a bad back I won't want to be contorting myself around the back seat every time it goes in or out.

My terrible neighbours are having a big bbq party this afternoon (if it's not a hog roast....) so expect I'll be locked indoors with windows closed again.

Found myself waking up feeling very excited by the thought of Howard from take that - very random! Maybe (hopeful emotion) this could be the beginning of the, ahem, interest in ladies and gentlemen, that some people say you get in 2nd trimester.

OP posts:
Wanderingsheep · 12/09/2010 09:40

LOL at Angel's dream of Howard!

I had an awful dream last night Sad. I dreamt that I was miscarrying. Was awful, you know when you wake up and it takes a while for you to realise if the dream was real or not? Then I felt so relieved when I realised it wasn't real! I finally got back to sleep and then the dream continued!!! It's made me really worried now!

moonminmama · 12/09/2010 10:21

Lol at ledkr hunting down angels with squeeeeeeky pram Smile like a very twisted scene from the shining!

angels Howard?? Really?? of all the members of take that ... As for those type of dreams, I had several in first trimester but not had any this trimester yet. Bit disappointed really lol.

Regarding weeing in the night. I am now up to about 5 per night! It's such a flippin inconvenience! Dh has moved into guest room a few times, poor thing. Luckily it's amnice guest room in our new house so too much of an inconvenience (can you tell I'm getting back to loving my new house now stinky carpet issues have gon)

moonminmama · 12/09/2010 10:23

wanderingsheepyour nightmare sounds terrible Sad I remember waking up after having ds dreaming I had squashed him or lost him. It takes a few seconds/minutes to realise it was just a dream and in-between that time it's just scary! I hope they pass very soon!

angels1 · 12/09/2010 10:46

wanderingsheep sounds like a horrible dream (I'd even take the howard one in preference!). I had a dream I had the baby and then it died a few weeks ago and I woke up in floods of tears. I think it's normal as it's our fears in our dreams of what we hope won't happen, but it doesn't make it less frightening.

Yes moominmama I know - Howard?!! Blush. Of all the members of take that he wouldn't be my first (or second,or maybe even third depending on if you count robbie or not!) choice... Hmm. I keep thinking of his muscley bod (stop me now!!) Grin. What is happening to me?! Confused

OP posts:
EauRouge · 12/09/2010 17:17

I always preferred Howard, I must be a weirdo Grin the others were too squeaky-clean for me.

I had a dream about Jenson Button last night- doesn't sound so bad but he reminds me of my cousin so I was really grossed out Confused

wanderingsheep I used to have dreams of giving birth to some kind of malformed alien thingy when I was expecting DD, it's just a normal pregnancy anxiety thing. Try putting some lavender oil on your pillow.

Wanderingsheep · 12/09/2010 19:11

My dream was horrible. I remember having similar when pg with DD but I don't think they were as vivid. I think they were more ridiculous eg. Similar mc type ones where the room filled up with blood or dreams where I'd had the baby but put it on a rollercoaster by itself Confused but they didn't feel so real.

Fingers crossed, no more tonight! I wouldn't mind one like Angel's though! Not Howard from TT though, Ashton Kutcher would do Wink.

Hope everyone has had a lovely Sunday! We took DD to a soft play centre so she's shattered. Been a nice chilled afternoon, she's played with her friends while DH, his friend and I sat having a brew!

Wanderingsheep · 12/09/2010 19:13

BTW, Mark was always my favourite but nowadays I think Gary is the best. He's aged the best out of all of them.

Trojan1970 · 12/09/2010 19:27

Evening Ladies
wanderingsheep - with all this talk of handsome men I hope you have sweet dreams tonight Wink

We've had a really quiet weekend. I christened my maternity swim suit today and was pleased it was quite baggy with lots of room to grow. Only used it as my old one has nearly worn through in places! Then I sat and watched DH tidy up the garage and supervised what he could and couldn't throw out.

I am reading the Mumsnet Pregnancy Book which is laugh out loud funny. Anyone else got this?

Wanderingsheep · 12/09/2010 19:58

Haven't got any of the MN books but I bet they're all good reads. There's a lot of sound advice on here!

Speaking of swimming, my friend had me in stitches the other day, bless her! She invited me to go swimming with her and her DS2. I told her that I'd love to go but will have to buy a maternity swimming costume first as my ordinary one won't fit now. She kindly offered me hers... She's about a size 4!

ledkr · 12/09/2010 21:33

I just wear my bikini!thought everybody did! my belly is nice and brown from Spain and its great not having to hold it in ha ha.
I've had terrible dreams some too twisted to recount.
Angels what did u mean by ''ladies and gentlemen'' will I start to fancy my mates? my libido is still pretty zilch still. We talked about it today and poor dh was very knowledgeable as hes looked it up in his pg for men book. I am nearly 20wks so well into 2nd tri but no joy.
