OOOOOOOOOOOOh, good luck!
I caught you on my 'in the last 15 mins' search.
I remember all of this, my waters went like that, and I started having cx within the hour.
Excited for you....but you do need to try and rest...have something to eat and keep your fluids up......
GOOD LUCK and SPEEDY LABOUR VIBES>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
xx

mrsZaC · 25/08/2010 02:42

owh how lovely of you to post squash fingers crossed your right! I think I'll have a glass of water and something to nibble on and try to get back to sleep. :D

babyducky · 25/08/2010 03:56

Oooh good luck mrszac hope it all kicks off soon! :)

Can't remember who asked but I did manage to avoid being induced, I actually had quite a good labour, stayed at home just using tens machine, got to hospital around 3am & had gas & air, then she was born at 4am, I was really proud of myself, I had an epidural with my ds,I never thought I'd be able to cope with just gas & air! Didn't need any stitches either, just had a small graze so was pretty good, we came home yesterday afternoon. Everything going ok so far, her brother is so in love with her already :)

mrsZaC · 25/08/2010 04:01

owh ducky so glad to hear your labour went well.

I've tried really hard to get to sleep but I can't, I'm that sicky tired aswell, really annoying! I'm getting twinges but nothing is really amounting to much yet, waters seem to have stopped coming (or what I think is waters anyway) I don't imagine I could be that incontinent to soak a whole maternity pad Hmm Got period type pains at the moment in my back but other than that - nothing!

Will stay up a bit long then try to get some sleep again.

x

babyducky · 25/08/2010 04:11

Aw, how exciting, try & go back to sleep though!!! With my ds my waters went about 48 hours before he was born & I stayed awake that whole time in case I missed something happening!! I was exhausted by the end of it!! Let us know how u get on. Good luck! :)

mrsZaC · 25/08/2010 04:16

I know, I think I'll take the spare duvet on the couch and try and do my relaxation, hope it works!

Aussieng · 25/08/2010 04:45

Hey mrszac - I'm up. How exciting and what good timing! Very good baby! Fingers crossed. Try to get comfy and get a little sleep. After my waters broke it was 48 hrs until j delivered and I wish I'd got a bit more sleep before the contractions made it impossible. X

bouncingblueberries · 25/08/2010 04:51

Good luck mrszac !!! Think lots of opening type thoughts!

LCRLCR · 25/08/2010 05:26

I'm up too can't sleep! Back and hips too sore and probably I am thinking about sweep later on today. 40 + 8 now, no signs of anything happening and the time is dragging.

Good luck MrsZac, really exciting! And well done babyducky my Brighton twin!

mrsZaC · 25/08/2010 05:30

I've tried hard and failed miserably to get to sleep, back up bouncing on my ball and just made a hot choccie, tried my relaxation and everything! grrrr Angry I already feel zonked!! hopefully once DH has had a good enough sleep I can run a bath or have a shower or something, that might help.

you ladies still up?

LCRLCR · 25/08/2010 05:43

Yep thinking what if my sweep works and labour begins and I'VE HAD NO SLEEP thoughts - productive!

mrsZaC · 25/08/2010 05:49

haha I know, rubbish when you can't sleep and all you can think about it the very fact you can't!!!

Starting to worry me that nothing is progressing and I'm not sleeping!! don't mind so much if I thought it would be over in a few hours Hmm

what time you getting your sweep LCR?

LCRLCR · 25/08/2010 06:02

It's at 12. Really hope it works as the birthing centre I want to go to won't take me after 41 + 6 which is Monday.

mrsZaC · 25/08/2010 06:06

I'm sure it will, maybe you can get some kip when you get back? That's a bit rubbish they won't take you after 40+6 Shock you just get telling baby to get a move on!! Well the sun's coming up so i think I might attempt another shot at sleeping.

Good luck with the sweep if I don't speak to you, but I'm sure I'll be back on here bouncing in an hour! x

pamplem0usse · 25/08/2010 06:47

Rubbish night's sleep... boo...
Wish me luck ladies, induction this morning and I really don't want one of the 72 hour hellish labours i've heard about :(

LCRLCR · 25/08/2010 07:01

Good luck pample! how come you're being induced, not over yet? Sweet dreams mrszac!

soontobefatnat · 25/08/2010 08:37

Good luck Pample and MrsZac! Hope it all goes well for you both. Due today and feeling oddly down/deflated for some reason. Might be due to a crap night's sleep. And the fact that this baby does not seem like he's on his way... Boo!

Poncherello · 25/08/2010 08:40

Good luck Pample! Hope you catch up on some sleep mrsZaC - keep us informed on developments.

LittleMiss love the cartoon, am seriously considering not answering my phone / messages today but that will just make everyone get even more crazy!

Sorry to hear about the buyers pulling out - very frustrating and annoying.

All those being sweeped today - hope it comes up with the goods.

We've nothing left to clean / tidy that isn't too boring to contemplate so not sure what to do with myself today ...

vix206 · 25/08/2010 08:50

Morning ladies. Good luck pample I will be thinking of you and I'm sure you will be fine xx

MrsZaC how exciting, I hope you've had more sleep.

Any news lizzie? I'm still here, have had 4 shows now (latest one this morning) loads of bhs and twinges but nought else. Getting mightily peed off now to be honest! X

marzipananimal · 25/08/2010 09:03

wow, an eventfl night on mumsnet!
Good luck pample, really hope the induction goes well for you.

How are you doing MrsZac? Another queue jumper it seems! Hope you managed to get some sleep.

Hope things start moving along soon for you vix. At least you've had some shows though, I still haven't had the slightest symptom or sign of labour -what's going on?!

babyducky · 25/08/2010 09:03

thanks LCR, hope your sweep goes ok!

Any news mrszac?

Good luck pample!

LittleMissSnowShine · 25/08/2010 09:54

mrszac - I had about 4 almost completely sleepless nights in a row, and then finally crashed out last night so I feel your pain!! Had a bit of a show on Monday night, went for a walk yesterday and also tried some..errr...natural induction techniques with DH last night. Nothing further happening so far tho! Grrr Angry
Hope things are moving along a bit quicker for you tho!!

Good luck pample!

Results of my online shopping spree for non-maternity clothes (woo hoo!) should be arriving today and having a new laminate floor put down in the hall this afternoon so I'm really hoping all this activity will convince baby that putting in an appearance in the next few days would be great lol

isheisnthe · 25/08/2010 10:02

Sweep today at 2 for me - really hope that gets things going, had one with DS2 and it didnt work though!

Thanks for the sympathy about the buyers - its soo bloody annoying, just managed to stop the survey taking place on the house we want so hopefully we won't have lost £599 - the house we want the owners have said they wont put it back on the market until Monday, which is about as useful as a chocolate teapot as I can not see us selling in 5/6 days - especially if this baby ever decides to turn up!!!

Hate buying and selling, and I wouldn't bother as I love this house - but its in the wrong catchment for DS1's next school, and I need to move before they take into account nursery fee's in the disposable income bit of the mortgage application - grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

vix206 · 25/08/2010 10:04

Not that I have any reason for being there yet :( - a few people have asked about our post natal thread so here it is for you all

post natal thread

I'm going to be optimistic and assume that I won't be pregnant forever and put this in my Watch list :)

Chulita · 25/08/2010 10:07

Congrats to all the new mummies (I've read the thread, just forgotten) Blush less than 4 hours sleep last night...

Good luck pample, fingers crossed all goes swimmingly for you :)

Yay mrsZaC! Get those ctx's going!
