silver Sunshine? Where? We have concrete sky here.

Agree, sleepsuits rock. cos if you haven't done your shop yet I have a huge stack of barely/never worn basics that need a new home. Clyde is in 3-6 mth clothes already! Loads of his 0-3 mth stuff didn't even get worn.

curls Yes, stupid Next who used to do good sleepsuits have suddenly decided they no longer need to open down the front. Idiots. Apparently we can all just pick up a new born baby with one hand while inserting them lengthways into a confusing Houdini-style suit with a few meagre poppers on the neck.

organiccarrotcake · 03/08/2010 13:03

I'm loving babygowns. I've mentioned it before but I truly am in love with babygowns.

Comma is mostly wearing babygrows. He's been given several "normal" clothes outfits as gifts which are a PITA. Tee shirts just ride up when he's carried and anything that's not got integrated feet means socks are required which simply fall off. I have bought "sock-ons" from Mothercare which are great, but still I prefer either footed trousers, or even better, just babygrows.

Def just the most basic ones though, with buttons all down the front! They're not babies for 5 minutes so I think it's nice to enjoy them as babies, looking like babies. They'll soon enough be growing into little horrors and wearing t-shirts with slogans like, "Warning - Contents May Offend" (one of LC's friends was wearing that yesterday - aged 6 ).

Muser · 03/08/2010 13:21

I confess, I already bought some baby clothes in the sale because they were too cute. I bought them thinking I might give them too the next niece/nephew (due December) but that was really a lie.

I bought the fox and green octupus from here lipfish.com. No more until much further on and then it's babygrows agogo. I actually hope to just get cast offs from the cousins.

ginhag · 03/08/2010 13:55

Grin Grin Grin

FannyPriceless · 03/08/2010 13:58

muser Oh, but so cute!

For anyone with Welsh connections: Newport

OkieCokie · 03/08/2010 14:14

Very cute amusebouche
these are very cute too, better value in the sale though...

OkieCokie · 03/08/2010 14:18

and this stuff

rollerbaby · 03/08/2010 14:31

I love that Bob and Blossom stuff! Have already had a pre baby pressie with Little Man on. So sweet. Btw do they have to wear socks at night if not in babygros? Who tells you this stuff when you get home?

What are babygowns? Can you put boys in them? I completely agree babys should be in babygros. Clothes look so odd when they are tiny.

okie that place looks lush. I am up for a litre of cocktails and a plate of naan bread there anytime after the 31st Oct.

I am tired and blob like today, so not much chat in me sorry.

Cossie you look fab and so well. What is upsetting me is that I am already the size of you and 3 months to go. FUCK. I can't tell you the amount of "are you having twins?" commnets I've had.

My current obsession with decorating the nursery is getting annoying. I can't get any work done because I am worrying about whether or not I can fit an armchair in the room and if you can paint IKEA shelves.

FannyPriceless · 03/08/2010 14:35

gin!!! Scan-tastic!

OkieCokie · 03/08/2010 14:42

Mooster I have this. At least I think it is this as I have a loose cover for it so it looks a bit better, but this is fine for the baby's bedroom and OK for feeding in. I find I sit in there with him quite a lot actually when he has restless nights. A leg rest would be perfect too but we just don't have the room.

have yet to visit t'other place to see what curly's mither is and see Cosssie's pic

Now feeling tired after late night - just had a Big Mac meal (for me) AND 6 nuggets (for the baby) - what would NICE say about that then?!

SilverSky · 03/08/2010 14:45

Ooooooh gin pray tell your news!????

You would never believe I posted my earlier comment before 9am and it registered at gone noon. Shitty phone.

rollerbaby · 03/08/2010 14:49

I like. I was hoping for something I could -sleep- I mean rest in while feeding. Footstool would therefore also be handy as you say.

Waht's the news gin????

SilverSky · 03/08/2010 14:50

fanjita typically grey sky here too now.

rots babygowns - are poppers at the feet necessary?

ginhag · 03/08/2010 14:52

Well I am actually pregnant. Wiv a baybee and everyfink.

Am 10+1, I had somehow lost a week so thought I was only 9+1. Am a dumbass.

There is a small wriggly jelly baby in there. Can't believe how utterly gobsmacked I am.

AND I am going on holiday somewhere stupidly hot in 2 weeks (won't somebody think of my baybee etc)

Am all a bit today. Despite feeling hideous and having boobs that hurt so much it is actually a challenge to shower...

I casually asked mooch if he wanted a brother or sister. Glad to report he didn't reply in the same way I did when my mum asked me, aged 5 when she was pg with my sister....

My reply? 'I'd like a hamster'

rollerbaby · 03/08/2010 15:03

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Enj oy ginster. Baybee, hot holiday and everything!!!

PerfectDromedary · 03/08/2010 15:13

Gin I could have told you that you were 10+1, idiot child. Remember, we tested around the same time? And I'm 9+6 today.

Ahem. I mean WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! as well, obv. Am very, very pleased.

ginhag · 03/08/2010 15:16

well, yes cam. but you are forgetting that i am a nob

OkieCokie · 03/08/2010 15:17

Ginster that is fabulous news! Hamsters are cool too. Except they don't last very long.

OkieCokie · 03/08/2010 15:18

I could loose weeks. I don't mean wish my life away or something but would like to be at 36 weeks not 26 weeks please.

Muser · 03/08/2010 15:32

Yeah, I could have told her that too Drom, as I am currently 10+2, and gin you POAS before me!

Muser · 03/08/2010 15:40

It is a bit scary that we're all due almost at the same time. And then there's Medee not far behind. Feb/March 2011 is going to be interesting!

SkiHorseWonAWean · 03/08/2010 15:49

Congratulations ginny - excellent news! My "12 week" scan was also at 9+6 and I didn't look back.

cossie/ginhag and other outdoor girls - www.muddypuddles.com are having a sale - I've just picked up a couple of winter bits & bobs for Bear for his ski holiday and also some beachy stuff for next summer. e.g., balaclava for 2 quid, winter hat for 1.50 - job's a goodun!

It was really good for all of us here due at the same time - also 4 in one week - it meant lots of support and sharing. Mad race for laying though...

PerfectDromedary · 03/08/2010 15:49

Inshallah, Muse.

I am not officially pregnant until I have my scan. Lalalalalalalalalalala...

(And Gin, you aren't a nob. I suspect Mr Freud would have something to say about this. Oh yes. Possibly something to do with cigars...)

ginhag · 03/08/2010 15:52

Thanks ski. am currently all-a fluster

drom Freud was a cunt.

ginhag · 03/08/2010 15:53

I am going to morroco in 2 WEEKS!!! I am going to be oh-so-bohemian. And not move very much. Mum n Dad are looking after Mooch....
