Drom, are you looking pregnant yet? I discarded a lot of clothes this morning as I definitely seem to have started showing. Although being a chubster it's a thin line between baby and too many pies.

I have had to buy MANY empire line. Good thing that it is this season's shape, and that it is cheap because of sales.

This morning, a nice man gave up his seat for me on the train. Obviously this is all lard and bloat, but yes, I apparently look pregnant.

Muser · 02/08/2010 09:08

I got offered a seat for the first time last week. I am glad it's not just me embracing the empire line. It's so weird how it's just suddenly appeared.

humpalicious indeed lots of tweaks and pains are run of the mill. I even had sharp stabbing pains which apparently was my ligaments stretching. Was not pleasant at all.

Can't beleieve it's Monday. Nearly 8 wks left at work minus 7.5 days hols. Not that I am counting. Honestly. Is it hometime yet?

Yay for the bumps, muser and drom. Glad I'm not the only one who struggled with clothes that early!

Could also be wind Drom...plenty more of that to come too

Have been in maternity jeans since 8 weeks & am fed-up with limited wardrobe options already (am almost 14 now)....lovely floaty tops from the Monsoon sale are already too tight and I went up a size [harumph]

On the plus-side, am lounging by to pool in sunny Spain with 2 lovely, long weeks streting ahead of me - bliss.

Box aren't you bored of being bored????

Woo hoo. Early bumps=seat on tube. Although the bastards aren't always generous. Young people seem to be the worst. God I sound like a 60 year old. But it's true. On the northern line anyway. Although now with my pelvic issues, have been cabbing every day and so v unlikely will have to get on tube again in my preggo state. Hurrah! Baby on board badge anyone?

Silver you and me both. 7.5 weeks to go... am totally winding down which is really very nice. Have absolutely no guilt at fking off at 5.30 on the dot anymore. Even just went swimming at lunchtime but no doubt will be crippled in pain later by overdoing it.

Kate you are a lucky lucky woman. Have a sangria for me won't you please? Beats edamame peas.

I have a twirl on my desk waiting to be eaten and off our for a posh curry tonight with my boss who is in the country for a couple of days - who goes out for a curry on a Monday night??

I stll have lots of pains in the womblar region - some of them are quite sharp and stabbing like a stitch.

Oh the glamour of working in travel you lucky cah. Curry yum. I love garlic nan with basically anything. And popadoms. And mango chutney.

Are your stitch pains like ligament twinges? Weirdly I feel LOADS better down there after swimming today. I think stretching it all out is helping alot.

OkieCokie · 02/08/2010 17:09

I have no idea what my pains are! Could be ligaments, could be BH? I would love to go swimming but I have no time and I just don't have anything to wear whah whah!!

Cos are you not celebrating your happy term-day? Your baybee is now officially old enough to be here, if he so choses!

Clucky - get off your Blackberry. You are on holiday.

It is REALLY quiet around these parts. What are you all doing? Laying babies or summmat?

I got to bed at 1.00am last night - that is really late for me, usually it is 9.30/10.00 on a school night. However my colleagues are all suffering with hangovers and I feel pretty good really . However, given the chance I would much prefer to have had copious amounts of wine and cocktails last night like the rest of them. We ended up in here which does the most amazing cocktails for all you London-ites and has a very eclectic clientelle! Maybe a PESH SESH when we are all back on the booze.

Cossie I love your new fb photo - you look absolutely radiant and really, really happy!

How is your baby clothes buying going? I know you were slacking at some point but surely the sales have been more tempting?

My only advice in that respect would be, don't go for "proper" outfits e.g., jeans & top, because they're fiddly and whilst you're still getting used to a newborn (i.e., putting clothes on whilst desperately trying not to break the baybee) you'd be better off with loads of rompers/sleepsuits - especially for the first few weeks. We've got a few "soft" outfits - you know, more like pyjamas - but am very glad not to have been fiddling with buttons at this stage. Sleepsuits are wonderful things. It's also absolutely amazing how much they grow. Bear has now outgrown nearly all of his newborn stuff and is now wearing a few 0-3 months things so don't go too bonkers. Have read in these parts of nutter who had SEVENTY (!) "designer" outfits and no baybee.

okie Gah - horrible website has embedded music! But yes, cocktails very good - am hoping when next in Newcastle the northerners can indulge (more). Everywhere we looked there were signs saying "cocktails 2.50" - and there we were severely restricted.

tech issues here too - in that FB has crashed my computer every time I have tried to post there today (three times already)

anyhoo, I want to say thanks to boxy, ski and muse who were all quite correct over there and made me see sense. Have a new issue/ bad experience today, which makes me very glad to have left the industry I used to work in. Fucktards.

Also pissed off with landlord. Already.

Yeay for cossie being full term. Seeing as I didn't make it that far, I am deeee-lighted for you.

On the outfits front, I have decided that anyone who designs babygrows that fasten up the back is a twat.

Going to take my elsewhere and soothe it with a fat, overfilled baguette.
