troll

Medee · 06/08/2010 17:48

I too am having that worry - not twinging as much, managing to eat a bit more, not showing much, though definitely am firmer and harder. Sympathies to you, Muse and Drom. Roll on the 12 week scans (should there be a name for this 12WSOOFLing?)

Okie the strawberry cheesecake ones worked for - my colleague declared them even better than my Nigel Slater brownies, so I took that as a good review.

ginhag · 06/08/2010 17:48

Well my post wasn't very helpful :)

She can't actually be real surely??

muse it's a horrible feeling. Not long till scan, hang on in there. I'm a tearful mess today myself so there you go...

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 06/08/2010 18:02

Nigel Slater brownies rule - they are my go-to baking, and never fail. Also no nuts which is perfect as 1. nuts would kill me; and 2. leaves more room for yet more chocolate. Will look at the Hummingbird cookbook - though am not terribly skilled at baking (just at choosing noddy recipes that look impressive).

Have great weekends all! I might be on here over the weekend for a change as TSF is away on business on Sunday for a few days (won't someone think of the preggo?! How will I manage to feed myself after 8 months of personal chef?!)

SilverSky · 06/08/2010 18:41

vagabond plz to share brownie recipe with fellow fattybumbum curvaceous preggo?

I have had a right blonde day at work. Just happy it's over and wondering if going to bed now is a ridiculous or genius idea? Of course will eat first!

namechange100 · 06/08/2010 18:58

Hi was on this thread a tiny while but had to leave to as had bother and my little seeds didn't want to grow anymore.

I am fine now it all behind me now

Here you go, Silver www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2004/jun/13/foodanddrink.shopping2

organiccarrotcake · 06/08/2010 20:12

Hi name :)

ski I also had those worries (about volcano). We had a back up plan for getting back from Ukraine overland if necessary. Could be difficult travelling from Oz.

box sounds like a wonderful honeymoon. I really want to see more of the former EB. So much has changed of course, but still there are places to see some amazing stuff, which I why I like Ukraine.

We went to Kenya for our honeymoon. We stayed a week at Cotters, which is an utterly fabulous tented camp in the Masai Mara, and then a week travelling on our own in a borrowed Landie from Nairobi to the coast and back, via Tsavo National Park. Wonderful.

drom I flew back from Ukraine with a week in hand (day's travelling). It was fine. The journey home from Gatwick (to Yorkshire) in the car was horrible though.

SilverSky · 06/08/2010 20:25

Thanks medee super kind of ye.

namechange hullo. Really sorry to read your news and wish you a speedy return to the deli real soon.

rollerbaby · 06/08/2010 21:20

gin Grin that thread (and the last two) really pissed me off. insult to mumsnetters intelligence...

CluckyKate · 07/08/2010 06:55

We honeymooned in South Africa - was amazing Smile.

Well, my Spanish haven has been disturbed by a bunch of ravers....4 in the blimmin' morning Angry. There as a time when I'd have leapt out of bed to join them - now it's all just noise [grrr].

Gin - loved your contribution to that thread. Is it the same person every time (am not very observant of these things)???

Box there's a flaw in your theory - my Mum was born in April!

Hang in there Muse - a week will fly and before you know it you'll be feeling the tiny flutters of your little baybee Grin

Cosmosis · 07/08/2010 10:12

Idea of Maldives really doesn't appeal to me, I would get bored and TGO would get burned to a crisp. We had our honeymoon in corsica, it was stunning.

Today I can't walk due to really bad back. I did about 17 laps round Westfield yesterday then got home at 5.00 and a frantic message from a friend stuck at work and could I pick her LO up from nursery, which I can do now as I now have a double pram so that was fine but had to walk a mile there and back again. I am sitiing on the sofa all day with the exeption of getting to Victoria for a mother to be massage (much needed) birthday treat dating form April. Neither of my children will have birthdays in April.

However, had got the painters in haven't I and I need to clear a room so plan to sit on bed and bark orders to Mr C.
Meds you have inspired me to try strawberry cheesecake fairy cakes again.

OkieCokie · 07/08/2010 11:49

FFS just read the hummingbird red velvet cake carrying fred! Gin you shouldn't have apologised. Next she will be saying she is worrying about sneezing and her baby falling out.

SkiHorseWonAWean · 07/08/2010 12:33

Should we ever make it to the registry office our honeymoon will be canada or norway in january! Wink Neither of us appreciate hot temps and my "beach" limit is 72 hours before bored senseless. I know you're supposed not to leave the bedroom, but, bear with me - I will not be the blushing bride and I have seen a winky or two before. :( Did you cycle cossie?

I've just posted a letter for my boss and had to lick the back of the stamp oh emm gee. Will my baybee fall out?

Bear is July, I am Jan.

rollerbaby · 07/08/2010 12:38

It has to be a troll. No one in their right mind is that stupid. Massage will prob help alot Okie and lots of stretching too. Physio told me to do loads of stretching and it has really made a difference as I really stiffen up when I'm sitting down. The one that really helps is sitting back on my heels legs slightly apart so there is room for your bump and stretch your hands out in front of you. Walking is the devil. I could have cried in Ikea but didn't cos Mr Moo would have made us leave. I wish we had now because the fucking stools we bought are too short, damaged a shelf on the way home and the side table we've assembled is wonky. Rest of it is still sitting in hall. Can't bring myself to open any more boxes for assembly. What on earth is John Lewis for huh?

SkiHorseWonAWean · 07/08/2010 12:41

Btw cossie - according to the database, you are 37 weeks today. Get laying!

honey I wouldn't bet on it - I think you (we) sometimes take for granted that the B/P/FESHlets are a canny lot - there are lot of people out there as "thick as mince". Wink

okie Feet up, cakes in and that's an order!

Muser · 07/08/2010 13:27

Afternoon all. I am laying on the sofa eating biscuits while MrM does the manly task of building our new wardrobes. I could get used to this.

Medee · 07/08/2010 13:46

I have done sfa all day, and need to go out but am struggling to get the energy together to finish getting dressed.

Muser · 07/08/2010 13:50

Don't struggle Medee, declare today a pajama day and be done with it.

I have just gone and held some bits of wardrobe to be helpful.

OkieCokie · 07/08/2010 14:45

Massage really helped! I feel 21 again (for all of about 2 hrs I reckon). Came home and all the boys are asleep. I think the lazy arse attitude in the deli is my kind of thing for today. I do have a hummingbird carrot fairy cake to eat which I bought on Thursday so there again, maybe I should abstain in case I damage my baby by eating an old cake or lifting it from the kitchen to sofa.

Medee · 07/08/2010 16:09

I did make it out, might have damaged the baby lifting the parcel to the post office, or taking my library books back though ;)

SkiHorseWonAWean · 07/08/2010 16:18

Just out of interest, how big exactly would the cake have to be to make the baybee fall out?

ginhag · 07/08/2010 16:39

this big?

I am annoyed that I lost my rag. Stupid really. If it had just been the one thread I don't think my brain would've exploded :)

I think the rest of you put it rather more maturely. And didn't use the word 'bollocks' which is prob for the best.

I think I will stick to conversing with beshes and peshes for the time being...
