mlic that's disgusting, what a fricker Angry On the fb page I'd prefer if you declined people if they don't come on here first to let you know, otherwise we could have random wanderers which would make the group less secure for photos than mn.

i agree with chulita about randoms on fb and only because it was made a closed group so we can share pics etc.
That is good news that it was a random thing but what a dirty bugger, disgusting. Glad your a bit better about it though x

Evening all, WHAT a busy weekend we've had, after getting lost driving in London and only just making the wedding, it was good in the end though. No expense spared at all, DPs dad paid for our parking (£65 for 24hrs!!) and he paid for us to stay a night at the Stafford hotel no less Wink

We didnt get to sleep til half midnight, Dylan didnt have a better night for it either, up at 3 then 5 then down at 6ish, although did sleep til 9.

Im getting the engagement ring re-sized tomoro, told DP Ill give it back to him for him to then surprise me one day soon with it!
Looks like the wedding will def happen next year though.

DS doesn't go to sleep till midnight or later hence why we have him with us in the evening. am kind of hoping he will sleep earlier than that tonight as he hasn't really had a nap today - he's had a hungry day and fed all day long. tomorrow evening i am planning to go out for the first time, only to choir practice, but have frozen a load of ebm. fingers crossed i can go and not have to cut it short! dh has gone and arranged to meet someone at 5.30 but he thinks he'll be home in time.

Morning

I gave Dylan a dream feed last night, it went will in that he woke up just enough to feed then went straight back to sleep in his moses. This was at 11pm having been asleep since about half 8. He then woke at 1am...was not happy at all. Guess a dream feed makes no difference to him at all.
He then woke at half 2, 4 and 6ish. Not a good night and i could really have done with some decent sleep after the wedding.

I feel I cant be arsed to do anything today now :(

stac Im hoping its fairly soon as I want to look at venues and it would look silly if we're not even engaged lol.

stac hangover is fine today luckily lyndon slept most of day yesterday which is unusual for him so i slept and i was sick at tea time so that perked me up!! i have started putting a blanket under lyndons mattress to elevate his head and it has almost stopped his grunting and snoring!!
got my 6 week check tomorrow and Lyndons wednesday...eventhough he is 8 weeks now, got the imms next week, anyone know if it will give him a fever or sleepless night after??
hospital finally rang today about my 'emergency' MRI scan on brain, apparently they only just rang as they wont do it for 8 weeks after birth, only problem is no one can babysit that day so dh has to waste a days hol!!

viksam · 06/09/2010 21:55

tsc ur house fell down.......omg thats just wrong, how long did it take to rebuld?
mylife Glad it went ok switching today, whats happened since?
stac The grunting is driving me loopy, we have now got a breathing monitor so i really think im going to move him in the next few days, i really want a black out blind for his room though.
memphis I seriously dont know how u did it on ur night out, i would be hung over for days!
emster did u manage to go out? And stay out or did u head back early?

I am trying to streach Devon out between feeds in the evening now but his crying has been really bad tonight so its been really hard going. We have just had a knee jerk reaction internet purchace! the only thing that quiets him and puts him to sleep is his swing but it doesnt recline, so we have brought a reclining one £90 from mothercare. I dont usually shop there if i can help it but it was the cheapest strangly. He can sleep for a while in this one and there are loads of reviews on the net and some say about it helping with colic too so heres hoping!
So i fed him at 5.45pm and I want to streach it till 10, its looking good so far as he is in his swing again for 10 mins. Hopefully he will only wake once at 2ish.........thats the plan anyhow. So i will feed every 4 hours, 6,10,2,6,10 etc. I have been trying to do Ginas plan and it was usefull to begin with but i dont think its doing us much good now.

Emster30 · 06/09/2010 23:09

i made it to choir - it's just a local choral society. we're singing cherubini's requiem and puccini's messe di gloria this term.

i left 150ml (8oz?) of ebm for james and fed him for ages just before i left home at 7.20pm. apparently he drained all the milk by 8pm and then grizzled! greedy child!

viksam · 07/09/2010 08:16

Good morning Ladies,
How is everyone today?
We had an interesting night in the end, he had a good feed at 10 and was settled by 11ish, then he slept through till 3.15ish and was settled...well apart from grunting!! by 4. Then I awoke to his grunting at just before 7. A good night i think. Is everyone still giving a night feed? Someone suggested he should be droping that feed soon, i cant see that happening for ages.
Emster 150ml is 5oz and is what Devon is on however I have started doing 180ml for his last feed and his night feed and he is generally taking it. Glad u managed to get out, goodness those are hard songs, u must be a good choir.

DesperateHousewife21 · 07/09/2010 08:37

viks I wish he would drop just one of his night feeds! I put him down at half 10ish last night, he slept til 2, then woke at 5 then was on and off til 8. Not the best night really.

He went from grunting to crying out in pain last night :( it was def wind, I pushed his legs up and he did a big fart and he was fine after that.

beckyg123 · 07/09/2010 08:55

morning! just got a new laptop as mine kept crashing after 20 mins! was a freebie 4 years ago so owes me nothing!

Sam having a really grumpy morning- have fed him loads so now trying to settle him for a while on my chest. think he's having another growth spurt as just wants to eat constantly.

I still have a really sore cracked nipple and can't get rid of it... its starting to get me down. been going topless a lot- using masses of lansinoh and jelonet. any other tips?
i think our latch is fine but crack opens up when he pulls nipple back. spoke to gp who just suggested it might all be too much hassle and why not switch to formula! I have not come this far to give up now! other than the crack on one side its all going well and Sam is thriving!

viksam we still have a night feed- nowhere near even thinking about giving it up! My boobs are like rocks after 6 hours never mind leaving it any longer! Really don't thing Sam would make it through without screaming the house down for milk!

mlic OMG at the guy dumping in your garden! UGH! hope they catch him!

emster lol at james taking all that milk! Sam would do that too with bottle- he just doesn't register it as food! Hope you enjoyed being out for a while :)

Anyone else back to regular exercise? I went for a jog on saturday- managed 6 mins! oh dear- got a long way to go!
Stac you still coming to exercise class tomorrow? think its going to help me :)
want to go with m friend for swim on thurs night but dh working so need to ask mil to babysit- she'll love it!

stac14 · 07/09/2010 09:21

morning ladies, rileigh is two months old today where has the time gone?

memphis we have a sleep positioner which is just a wedge pillow and she still grunts lol. Glad you didnt have a huge hangover, i'm out for my friends bday well an ann summers party so we'll see how that goes lol

viksam have you tried upping devons other feeds as that may be why hes not lasting 4hrs. Rileigh sleeps from 11 to 6 so we try to avoid a night feed, she wasnt taking a full bottle so we pacified her.

becky i was going to txt you, its my glucose tolerance test tomorrow and i doubt i'l be finished for 11 but i could meet for a coffee if you want. Defo going to come next week. I went to zumba last night and it was fab, going twice a week. You coming to bounce and rhyme at pollokshields this week? X

OP posts:
beckyg123 · 07/09/2010 09:29

stac the class is on til 12.15 so if your still around the hosp then a coffee would be lovely- but if not will see you on friday :) might be on time this week! lol! you want to go to tramway after again?
Oooh zumba sounds fab! loads of people are raving about it just now - we have a few local classes- might need to give it a go :)

memphis83 · 07/09/2010 09:31

vik i bought a reclining swing for Lyndon too its brilliant! although i bought it locally off e bay, still had box that said £120 and i won it for £34! womans baby was only 4 months old and went in it twice but didnt take to it!! so what was bad for her is great for me!!
becky im excercising again, i started work out vid last week and starting back gym with dh tonight! once lyndon has jabs next week im starting swimming too, dh will play with lyndon while i do some serious swimming!
