GRUNTING!!!!!!!!!AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!
I went to the baby shop to see about a breathing monitor yesterday but they didnt have any in stock, might go to argos or mothercare today, dont shop at mothercare if i can help it though, think the service is crap and its V expensive.
Hes lyng here happy as larry squirming around and smiling to himself, i have placated him with a dummy and tucking his arms in sinse about 5.30, eventually got up at 6.45 so could be worse i suppose.
How was everyone elses night?
Those of u that do the last feed at 11ish are u having to wake them up to do it? The last few nights Devon has been asleep, which is amazing due to usually constant crying from 7 till 11, i have been waking him and doing a nappy change to get that last feed down but he hasnt taken it all due to falling back to sleep hense he wakes early,2.30ish in the night and then early in the morning.
memphis that is a result on the guests front, wonder how they will take it the first time u or DH dont answer the door.
mylife It is stressfull i agree and the last thing u want is to feel u have to shoulder it all, lets hope he can be a little more suppostive next time.
stac whats zumba?? getting rid of flab sounds ace!

Morning all

Loving these gurgly noises Dylan is making now!

I slept all afternoon yesterday with Dylan laying on my chest, so lazy but really needed it. Although I was meant to go out and get a wedding present for DPs dad, as its his wedding tomoro and I have to stay in today cos we've got a man coming to do our phoneline. So....bugger.

viks still got a grunter herer too, I think it is getting a bit better though, doesnt seem to last as long now.

Spirael · 03/09/2010 09:18

Baah... I was hoping it might get easier to cope with. Wink

Logically I know that she's fine and that the vaccinations are important to make sure she stays healthy. However I can't stop my eyes from watering when she squeals in pain and gazes at me in that accusing 'How could you?' way.

I was hoping the crying thing might be hormone related after the pregnancy and go away as levels settled down... Am I doomed to crying in front of the nurse at every vaccination and in front of whoever is around at every fall, sting, cut and bruise Mindy suffers in the future? Confused

If so, there goes my tough reputation!!

stac14 · 03/09/2010 10:00

spireal your not always going to cry hun you will get used to it. It makes it worse just now cos shes brand new. Even though rileighs my 2nd i am still dreading next week although having ds has helped cos he can do some damage at footy etc.

Rileighs grunting was at an all time high last night from 4am, she didnt wake till 6am but was so loud. I googled it and they are normal baby sleep noises. It doesnt mean they need anything so you should ignore anything thats not a cry. Easies said than done eh. On the plus side she took a feed at 6 and is just waking up yay!

viks zumba is a dance exercise thats very addictive lol type it into you tube for a look.

dh the gurgling noises are like a wee conversation lol. You must have needed the sleep hun, think i'll be doing that today.

Waiting for the health visitor to see how much rileigh weighs x

tsc thats awful about the baby. I can only asume it was left unattended then? He has never been in his swing longer than half hour while we have tea or something, i think thats ok isnt it? Sorry to hear about Frankie, it will be interesting to hear what the doc says, i thought they checked all that stuff at birth? It doesnt sound like its bothereing him too much though.
I have the total opposite thing going on than i did the other day, yesterday and today he just doesnt want to wake up, well he wakes for a feed but sometimes doesnt take it all then just wants to sleep. Very strange, im guessing its just a sleepy few days, however i lay him flat to have a kick without his nappy to see if that woke him and after quite a few mins he did a lot of sick and i think it was propper sick coz it smelled, is this what those of u who have suffered reflux had?
stac Re the grunting, its hard isnt it!Hope it stops soon!!

memphis83 · 03/09/2010 16:45

vik thats what lyndon was like, doc says baby sick should smell of milk and if its acidy or bile smell then its reflux, also not sure if stac thinks same but lyndons poop stank as well so bad it made me gag, thatnk god its back to either odourless or sweet smell
lyndon hates lying flat unless its his carrycot pushchair, im buying him a swing tomorrow that reclines to put him in as well as his chair so its a different position, its the same with car seat not keeping them in them for a long time, but if thats the case why do they make pushchairs with a travel system? (i dont have one) my friend lives in france and they are banned there as they are so damaging to the babies spines!
kk may have to get a zumba dvd to do on alternate days to my workout one, im out tomorrow and i cant fit in anything, im back to the weight i was before but got a little pot belly and arms like a wrestler!

stac14 · 03/09/2010 17:17

viks babies with reflux really struggle lying flat as the acid goes up the way. I bought a sleep positioner for her moses basket from mothercare, suggested by a site for baby reflux and she sleeps far better now it was only £15

memphis rileigh still stinks but i think thats her meds. Check out this website for help regarding how to help your lo's

tsc what will they do for frankie? xx

viks we've got a motion sensor Tommee Tippee monitor for our children. If they stop breathing for longer than 20 seconds it sets off an alarm. It saved DD's life cos she stopped breathing at about 9 weeks old in the middle of the night, the alarm woke me up and I had to really shake her to get her to breathe again. We moved DD into her own room at 8 weeks because of the noise, not sure when we'll move DS but he's wanting feeding most of the night (at least 3 times) so I can't see the point just yet. And yes, he grunts like a beast! (Boots sell the monitor we've got)

I'd like to try Zumba, a friend swears by it but I need a class cos I have no motivation!

dh I hope your dp proposes soon, DH asked me after we'd been together for a very short time but we just knew. We had a cheap wedding too but it was fab!

DesperateHousewife21 · 03/09/2010 19:48

Im thinking a registry office and a nice meal afterwards for about 30 people, wont cost too much and Ill have more to spend on the dress Grin

Those of you who said you keep your LOs with you in the eve, are you letting them fall asleep on you? If so are you planning to always let this happen or put them down whilst they are awake and let them go to sleep on their own?

Well had a breakthrough with DP tonight, have agreed that we're going to get married next year, going to get the ring re-sized (if it needs it) and then hand it over to him so he can still surprise me with it lol.

Have been looking at registry offices online in the area and trying to find a nice venue for the reception.
Omg I love planning things, this is like my dream! I cant wait to really get going with things and be able to show you guys my dress etc! Actually that might have to wait til after the wedding just in case DP snoops on here lol.
Have also made a guest list and tallys up to about 30 so will def be a small but intimate wedding, just what I want really.

tsc you should have told her to piss off, we deserve a break!!!
mlic and dh im another one with whirlwind romance, met at xmas, moved in june pregnant october, i knew he was the one not long after i met him, i went from party animal spending in excess of £200 a WEEK Shock on booze and partying and made a new years resolution to grow up, save and move out, i calmed down, and after never ever in a million years wanting to settle and have a baby here we are, as soon as i met him i knew i wanted a baby with him!!
dh the intimate wedding we loved the other week was hotel wedding package, small hotel with service then 2 course meal for 45 then move to other room for evening party and room got bride and groom it cost £1000!!! then you could add things for more money ie, posher meal, night buffet etc, you could look for stuff like that due to the recession so many little hotels do this! i would do it if i wanted to get married, but i dont, i call him my husband, thats enough for me, i hate people looking at me and giving me attention,so if we did it it would be out the blue while on holiday. next month hes getting me a diamond eternity ring.Grin

kkfairybrains · 04/09/2010 12:35

Ah dh thats lovely! R we all invited??!!lol intimate do sounds lovely but with mine and dps family theres not much chance of that! There was 65 people ate at the christening the other day! And that was only family and not even all them. Like memphis though i hate all eyes on me and if i do get married i dont want to spend the day going rojnd trying to talk to everybody and not see my husband for the day so i want something small
