Evening all

Thanks for puting the pic on violet it was a lovely day, still can't believe Rileigh slept all through bounce and rhyme, hope she doesnt do the same next time lol. Did you get your pillow and gripe water? Are they helping iris?

becky it is very easy to be caught up in worrying about things like cot death etc, it is the hormones and the adjustment to being a mum.

gracie I think it has been really hard trying to return to normal eating habits after having lo, I still want loads of stodge too. Thanks for the tip abouts socks, she does have babygrows with the flip over sleeves

tsc I'm intrigued as to why you were going to murder dp?

dh was the pic on facebook your new hair? If so its very nice

kk how did ellies christening go? did you have a fab day?

mlic my friend changed her baby at 3wks to hungry baby milk, it doesnt make them drink more as you know thier little tums cant take much but its the feeling fuller for longer type of thing. Friends lo went down from 10-6 and goes 4 hours between feeds and is taking the same as william

I am back at the hospital with Rileigh tomorrow for them to check her eyes healed properly, hoping to get them to check her reflux but I may be pushing it.

How are the rest of you ladies? xx

went to see my friends yesterday at the village used to live ats village cricket day, just me and Lyndon was great for all friends to meet him.
his rash isnt as bright red but it is rough and bumpy and has now gone onto his back, tummy and arms, hes sick a lot too but not straighty after a feed sometimes thick custardy with green tinge sometines watery with hint of milk in it, spoke to my friend in oz who is a doctor he doesnt think its reflux or colic as he doesnt cry he thinks as i had to have goats milk my eczema was so bad as a baby that Lyndon is getting bad skin and sick due to dairy intolerance! going docs this week to see, hope they prescribe him milk, looked into getting soya milk but it says online it can stunt their growth !?!? bless him hes still so happy even though he itches contantly!

stac yes indeedy that was my new hair, thank you :)
I need to wash it today though and I can guarantee it wont look the same!

Dylan woke at 1 after falling asleep at 8 so got some evening to myself. He then came in my bed til 5:45, changed and fed him then asleep til 7:45 so not that bad really.

Going for a pub lunch with DPs dad and sister and their partners and his niece later.
Got a wedding tomoro which Im looking forward to, more for the fact I can wear my new outfit!

Chulita · 30/08/2010 18:20

becky I learnt on my bf support training that the fattiest milk is first thing in the morning but I always find that if express in the evening there's way more cream in it. I reckon everyone's different when it comes to milk and it would make sense for it to be fattier at night to fill them up (supposedly) for the longer sleep.

mlic well done on getting a bit more sleep :) I live in hope of Sam settling down a bit. He was on a feeding marathon last night - not as bad as the clusters some of you talk about but he fed a lot compared to his normal intake.

gracie your lunch sounds fab, hope you enjoyed it! I keep talking about dieting but haven't yet Blush I just love chocolate too much...and dieting's no fun anyway (by diet I just mean cutting down on the tasties, I don't do proper diets :) )

stac good luck at the hospital tomoz, if you don't ask, you don't get so it's worth asking if they'll check her.

memphis83 · 30/08/2010 20:07

chulita lol at your diet meaning cutting down on the tasties! im the same but i eat so much rubbish when i cut it out i should be like kate moss! but i havent had any choc or goodies all week and havent lost a pound,we didnt even have friday night treat night, all home cooked meals from scratch and no baking! put my post pregnancy dvd on today its like hardcore pilates if i dont have a flat stomach after 6 weeks of that there is no hope for my stoach muscles any more!
dh love the hair!! i had mine done last week didnt have me time for it though i had lyndon sat watching me!! Grin
went shopping for top for night out at weekend today bought nothing, it all clings to my belly andi dont know whats in fashion anymore!!!! i need gok wan!!

kkfairybrains · 30/08/2010 21:36

stac the christening was brill!! really enjoyed it and everyone had a ball! have the pics up on facebook if anyone wants a look!
dh the hair is lovely!
well not really much to report here. ellie doing good. she screamed for about 2 hours yest eve and thought the colic was back but this eve she's fine.although now i've said that she'l prob start screaming!
my cousin got me a trip to portsmouth for my christening present! she's the administrator of the football club so will be mingling with them!!!its in october so really looking forward to it but dreading leaving ellie!

Chulita · 30/08/2010 21:40

Ooh! memphis what dvd have you got? [dreams of flat stomach]

stac14 · 31/08/2010 08:04

morning all, loving the diet advice. I know breast feeding makes you hungry but rileigh's bottle fed and i feel as if my appetite is huge. I wonder if its due to the way i ate in pregnancy.

memphis any joy with the police catching the shits that are trying for your bikes? Sounds like a good dvd, is it targeting new mums?

chulita we were at the hospital yesterday, they said her eye has healed nicely and i did ask him about the reflux. He says the meds and what we are doing for her is the things that will help and she will eventually grow out of it. How was your night last night?

kk ellie looked gorgeous in her christening gown, looks a fab day. Great present too.

dh its always the same when you get your hair done isnt it? Thankfully i have ghd's lol. Did you get a good sleep last night?

Rileigh hardly sleeps during the day like lyndon it is short bursts. Although the day i met violet and becky she slept ages lol. She went down at 11 to 5 and is still asleep now. Need to chase ds to get organised for school. X

Thanks memphis and kk!

stac Yeah I know, I tried my best to do exactly what she does like the washing, the drying, the straightening and the products, it looks quite similar now lol.

Ive got a wedding to go to today, we've got to leave in under 2 hours but DP and Dylan are both asleep!
ANY other day and this would be heaven, but no it typically happens on the day when Ive got 1001 things to do!
Im savouring the moment with a cuppa tea before the madness begins lol.

viksam · 31/08/2010 09:55

Hi Ladies,
I have had a lovely if not exhausting weekend. Went to Brum on Sat early and the entire family and a few friends came round to Mom and Dads house to meet Devon, it was so nice and everyone loved him to bits and wanted a hold. Poor baby got passed from pillar to post but stayed asleep for a lot of the time. He was quite fed up that evening, over tired i think as was i!
Sunday we went to DH moms and she loved him up too.
Then yesterday we went to Lyme Regis, it was amazing weather and the beach was packed, lovely to see.
I feel very lucky to have had such a nice weekend!
Im off to the docs in a bit about my back, i wasnt happy with what the stand in doc said about it last week, pretty much 'yeah it happens during child birth, shut up and go away' Not good as its causing me real amounts of pain and i want to know whats happened.
Then we got baby and me group at 2 this afternoon.
KK ur day looked lovely and she looked so sweet in her gown.
stac glad her eye is ok, that sounds horrid, devon has scratched his face loads, i have filed his nail's as i cant seem to get a pair of baby nail scissors from my town, ridiculous.
Good night last night, last feed at 11ish then 3.30 then i woke up to the grunting at 6.30 so i put him, in his moses in the cotbed in his room........and I feel really guilty as I fell back into deep sleep....DH got him up and fed him before he went to work and i didnt get up till 8! LOVELY! He didnt cry aparently, just got a bit grumpy, i would defo have heard him if he had cried....im sure i would.......yes, im sure........Hmmmm.

thanks stac and vik she did look lovely!
mlic the poor wee thing that sounds awful Sad. is he sobbing in his sleep from the pain of the constipation? would you try a little of the brown sugar in his water? i found it great but iys each to their own. hopefully they get somewhere quick about his sucking
hope you're enjoying your wedding dh!

memphis83 · 31/08/2010 16:59

mlic poor thing, its heartbreaking when they sob in their sleep :(
stac no joy i catching them but police are making it known they are watching house so doubt they will bother coming back, now got alarm and security light fitted too.
stac and chulita its a new dvd for new mums called tracy anderson post pregnancy workout its half hour of planks and exercise around the stomach muscles, i only managed about half of it as its supposed to re awaken the muscles that fall asleep while pregnant and oh boy i do ache today so its got to be doing something, its same woman who trains shakira and gwenyth paltrow! she says she was a sie zero 6 weeks after starting training... im ignoring the fact she was a zero before she was pregnant!!!:)
called doc today lyndon has reflux and reason when hes sick on himself and me is his acid in his stomach is so concentrated!!! poor thing so like rileigh he is on gaviscon, lets hope it works, hes had 5 shits today and they smell so bad!!
also was in next and he farted so loud a little boy said MUMMY THAT LADIE JUST TRUMPED!!! couldnt blame something so loud on a newborn so i scuttled out of there!!! oh the shame!

stac14 · 31/08/2010 17:39

lmao memphis thats so funny the little boy blaming you. The baby gaviscon didnt work for rileigh, she ended up constipated. She is on ranitadine and carobel milk thickners but its different for each baby. If you dont feel the gaviscon defo go back to the gp.

mlic my sister didnt have a sucking reflex and they had to teach her, she had to be tube fed for a while but she was fine. Have they said what may be causing it?

viks sounds like you had a great time.

i had to go back to the nurse as my ceserean scar still hasnt healed totally, she put a dressing on it which is ultra sticky and stuck to my pubic hair. Dreading taking it off for the return app on thursday, i'l end up bald lol. Also hv wants to come on friday so i cant go to bounce and rhyme, think i'l try and go another day. I'l have to fb violet x

tsc no wonder you were/are pissed off with dp over that!! im out this weekend leaving Lyndon with dh for 1st time, i know he wont drink while im out, a load of his mates do it and their gf's/wives hate it but they never say anything to them which i think is strange!!(but so does dh) so you putting this makes me realise im not being neurotic by expecting him not to drink :) i hope you resolve it soon!!
gaviscon seems to have done something i seem to have my happy cooing little boy back and he hasnt been sick!! right im off to bed im at work tomorrow without baby!! and we have to be out the house at 6.20, but he wont be dressed when we leave so just got to get myself ready!

Morning all, thats my girl 8wks today. She slept from 11-6, she did start grunting at around 4ish but i gave her her dummy and she stayed asleep.

mlic i think your totally right trying to get someone to help you with ds2 especially with the gp being so dismissive

tsc i dont think your being unreasonable expecting dp to stay sober if you go out. Dp was bad for drinking alone when i was pg and it drove me mad he thought he was entitled it. Men eh? Maybe you should just wait and see what happens. I personally would have to confront him before that just because it would fester and make me more angry lol

memphis fab news gaviscon is working, its horrible knowing their sore especially with the acid. Gp described it as baby heartburn.

waves at other ladies, will pop back later x
