ei - ohhh you lucky girl. Sounds like you had a lovely day!!!

DQ - you should def start taking things easy lady - if your feeling pain it's your bodies way of telling you to slow down Am I gonna have to come round there and tie you to a chair woman

Ebbie, tell us what your stork got you!!! It's very exciting. (I'm not trying to pinch ideas honest )

I spoke to ninah yesterday. I'm sure she won't mind me saying - yes, she is having quite a hard time at the mo but she's dealing with it brilliantly. She is one brave lady. I'm sure your messages of support will be a big boost to her - such a lovely lady!!!!

Well, I'm keeping dd entertained today whilst dh does our patio with fil. Then tonight we are off to dinner with friends for a birthday. I'm just off to the town - I might treat myself to a new outfit

Hope your all having a good weekend xxxx

dramaqueen72 · 17/09/2005 13:37

ladies, I miss you all on a quiet weekend.
yes, will try and sit about abit more. just you know.that 'must do list' is buzzing around my head. i am an all or nothing person -meaning I do nothing (quiet alot) and then go abit mad doing fifty things at once.
today was going to scrapbook some christmas gifts -nice and quiet job but still getting things done- but my sister has rung up and is popping over with my birthday gift. this throws me into panic as shes is 'super anal tidy clean woman' and notices dust.dirt.bits etc, had mad whip round but suspect she can tell it was mad whip round and not normal cleaning! LOL
all children in this house have cough/cold slight temp. mmmmmmmmm, they are fun like that. NOT!
its my birthday next week guys, I will be 33. feeling abit old!! have told dh want pampering spoil me kinda birthday. he hasnt got a clue tho bless.
have a good afternoon all,

bonkerz · 18/09/2005 09:27

Morning all.

Whats going to happen when all the ladies at work finish? This thread will be soooooo quiet!!! Or we will all be on here moaning about how bored we are or bragging about how much cleaning we have done!
SO? I it ok that ALex has become quiet? She is still moving but its one or 2 shifts rather then kicks. I think i felt her more than 10 times yesterday but not certain! Am gonna concentrate harder today but should i worry or not? Am now 25 weeks.
Went to BOOTS yesterday with my parenting club vouchers and got £26 worth of beauty goodies FREE, was well chuffed! Definatley worth joining!!!
Quiet morning for me cos DH taking DS swimming them DSD home to her mummy so all by myself till atlest 12 pm! WHAT A DARN SHAME!!!! My aim is to eat toast and watch discovery health!!

george32 · 18/09/2005 12:07

Hey everyone,
Been a bit quiet from me as I was feeling a bit low. I've been in hiding to try to shake myself out of it a bit.
Ninah, sorry you are going through a rough time. I do hope you manage to resolve things with your p.

Bonkerz, I will probably be on here more when I finish work. It's too busy there at the moment. 4 weeks and counting every second now. I'm sure Alex is fine. My little one has days of going crazy followed by a day of being knackered!! Bit like me at the moment

Had my mw appointment on Thurs. Lovely lady, just can't understand what on earth she says! I just smile & laugh, she must think I'm mental

DQ, I've hit 33 now too. I've just ignored it and decided now is the time to forget how old I am. Don't feel it, hope I don't look it, so I'm just pretending it hasn't happened!!

Have a lovely Sunday all.

Hi ladies,

Glad to hear everyone is having good weekends.

I'm feeling a bit atm!! Dh and fil have worked really hard in the garden this weekend. I started to help this morning by digging up our forest of weeds. After about an hour I was in agony - so I've had to stop. I really wanted to help and I'm feeling a nbit useless atm!!!

On the upside we had a brilliant night out last night. I probably drank more than I should have done but at least we had fun!!!!

flutterbee · 18/09/2005 18:53

Hi ppl,

I'm new to this thread, didn't realise there was one for December babies. I'm due 18/12/05 so thats 3 months exactly today, Hurrah. Look forward to speaking to you all soon. xx

sweetheart · 18/09/2005 19:05

flutter - hi, welcome to our Dec thread. Prepare to become addicted

bonkerz · 18/09/2005 19:58

Hi flutter good to have a new member!! Tell us some things about you!! Im sooooo nosey!!

Alex, thankfully, decided she wanted to move amountain today and hasnt stopped wriggling all day so am content that im just a paranoid pregnant woman!!

Very quiet day here and have stuffed myself with rubbish food so am now eating an apple and big bag of grapes to make up for it all! Doughnuts for me too

Dh has been planning all the little jobs he wants me to do when im on maternity leave!!! Have to admit i cant wait to do all the niggly things either but dont particularly want to be told to do them!!

Have had an afternoon with just DS on his own and he has been lovely. He showed me a book he got out of the school library about a boy who filled a box with presents for his new baby sister so have agreed i will find a box for him to decorate at the weekend! Really sweet of him and he also spent ages talking to ALex and she was wriggling away!

Ok gonna eat my apple and go to bed before my back ache starts again!

ei23mummy · 18/09/2005 20:13

welcome to flutter!!
sorry your not feelin all that happy atm s/h i highly recommend them jammy doughnuts and a night on the couch!!! iv just organised my non-mat clothes into them vacuum bag thingies so iv freed up loadsa space in the wardrobe and drawers!! yay!! now i dont have to look at the before picture as that will be in the loft for the next few months!! (at least!!)
not much happenin here now so i think ill go an have a cup of hot choccie and watch the telly!! (i may even stretch to my fourth doughnut of the day!! disgusting aint i!!!)

flutterbee · 18/09/2005 20:44

OK something about me, well I'm 27 and this is going to be mine and my husbands first child .
I am really enjoying being pregnant but have SPD which is amazingly painful, I also have been bullied at work by 2 witches that I work with who have no children and don't like them, suposedly I'm just going to be living off there taxes whilst on maternity leave and am not a team player because I choose to put my family before work!!!!!!! The situation hasn't been helped because I have been going home from work early because of the SPD and have had lots of appointments with the physio etc, however I am due to start my maternity leave on Wednesday 28th September (with a few days hols)so only a week and a half to go.
My doctor has said that he can sign me off as of tomorrow if I want but because I only get SSP from my employer whilst sick I'm not sure if this will effect my maternity pay, if anyone knows please let me know because I will gladly pack up work tomorrow if it won't have a huge effect. Then that will leave the witches something to moan about especially as the other lady on our team (the only nice one) is on holiday for the next 2 weeks what a shame, ha ha ha ha ha.

Other things about me, well I live in Nottingham at the moment but, at the end of the month we are moving 200 miles to Polgate in Sussex (near Eastbourne) to be closer to all our family, I'm in a total panic about this the thought of settling in, sorting our new home out, meeting new midwifes, visiting a new hospital and preparing for the birth just seems a bit much. Then add to all that the fact that all the Xmas shopping needs to be done ASAP because I'm not sure how much longer I will be able to walk properly for (thanks SPD)and I think I might just decide not to have this baby.

Other than that little lot I'm feeling great and I am sure I am not the only person to be feeling a little bit overwhelmed, I feel better having aired my frustration on here and can see it will come in very helpful.

xx

ei23mummy · 18/09/2005 21:34

dont worry about them nasty women in your work flutter- theyr just jealous that they havent got the next 10(ish) weeks to kill without work!! sod em!! btw are you changing jobs when you move?? (silly question really as it seems a long way to commute!!) cos if you are tell em to p**s off an jus go off on the sick!! thats what id do!! i dont think that a week or two off on sick leave affects your mat pay cos they go from your past working record as far as i know!!

Nemo1977 · 19/09/2005 08:35

hi flutter...would agree with ei and if you are changing just say ta ta you sad witches..lol

Hope everyone else is good today. I am all excited eagerly anticipating the phone call to tell me when Adams carpet will arrive..only down side is I may have to miss my physio appointment...Have it all planned out that dh will put new wardrobe together this afternoon when he gets back from work and then I will move adams clothes tonight..lol Then pil are taking adam tommorow to thepark fo give me a couple of hours to move his toys...wooo hooo he will be in there tommorow night. Poor dh has had fri, sat, sun off and I have been working him so hard he said he wished he had rather been in work..lol He is only on a short day today and off again tommorow so told him once he has moved adams bed for me tommorow then he is free to do as he pleases..

ninah · 19/09/2005 08:57

Hello everyone, sounds like you all v busy! DQ calm down! you make me feel tired! what day is your b'day? 33 old pmsl! oho! swap anyday!
welcome flutter, yes don't worry about work I used to work for a firm like that, they replaced me with a single 40+ lady (wonder why!) who then delighted everyone by falling in love with her neighbour and getting pregnant! if you are moving you'll be leaving anyway?
Sh it is normal to feel tired after gardening at 6 months. It's your body's way of protecting itself, you can easily get a bad back so be careful, OK? glad you had a night out tho!
Thanks everyone for your messages. I tried not to say too much on here as it's not really appropriate for an ante-n thread but then again it's a huge relief to be out of the closet about it! and you understand why mythings are much the same at home, but I am coping. Took ds to seaside yesterday and spent all day in park on Sat. Feel suprisingly OK - taking everything in small steps. Was a bit worried yesterday cos baby not moving as much as normal but s/he's probably just exhausted after busy weekend.
Speak soon xxx Ninah

ninah · 19/09/2005 08:58

oops, meant to say you understand why my messages are sometimes a bit patchy!

Nemo1977 · 19/09/2005 09:07

Ninah hope things work out hun i really do..as for this being an antenatal thread..yes thats why we are here but at the sametime like to think we are more than just the bumps..
Hugs to you and chat away any time.

sweetheart · 19/09/2005 09:19

Morning to everyone!

Flutterbee - I'll add you onto our stats list, it's lovely to meet you. Don't listen to your horrible work colleagues. I work with a 40 something woman who has only just got married and hates the thought of kids - tbh, I pity her - I think it would be so sad to live your life without knowing what it's like to love a child of your own!!!

We're having a meet up if you can make it Flutter - the thread is here It's in Basinsgstoke, Hampshire on 17th November.

Nemo - it's great you got the room done - so dh will be put to work on the nursery next then huh

Ninah - we're all here for you hun!!!

Feeling a bit achey today but apart from that I'm thrilled that we are getting somewhere with the garden. Not sure dh will be feeling the same today though - he was in agony last night, bless him. He even turned down a massage coz he said it hurt too much to touch

Nemo1977 · 19/09/2005 09:24

lol SH nursery isnt actually having anything done to it as its in excellent condition and unisex...just taking out the stuff that makes it adams and setting up a cot again...lol Also give everything a good clean down...but thats great just the fact I will be able to wash and sort out the clothes we have and sort out the baby toys into the room will be a bonus..and of course getting the rest of the house back into order DH is actually in work a lot from weds as the other manager is in australia so 8-8 everyday for 3wks. However he has booked a week off in nov...yayyy

sweetheart · 19/09/2005 09:41

updated stats

Anyone got any changes to add????????????

Nemo1977 · 19/09/2005 09:43

just changed adams age, cant believe he was only just 18mths when i started on here and hes 2 in 3wks

Nemo1977 · 19/09/2005 09:44

ooo carpet have phoned and will be here before 12 but my sis is coming to sit in for it and look after adam so I can still go to physio.

george32 · 19/09/2005 09:51

Sh, I've had a birthday but I think I'll leave my age the same on the stats!!

Welcome to the thread Flutter. Very that you finish in just over a week. I bet you can't wait, esp working with such horrid people.

I'm official now, handed my letter & MATB1 in so roll on 14th October for me. 4 weeks today - woo hoo!!

I'm looking forward to being able to catch up with organising our house. Nemo, you are so far ahead of me, it makes me very nervous. We did manage to throw some stuff up the loft (said a fond farewell to my favourite jeans for a while) and the boiler is being replaced this week (hopefully), carpet is picket (totally impractical as it's cream), paint is chosen for the boys room and DP is ready to start demolishion on the fitted wardrobe next week. Phew, that's just the start of it!
