Hi all, thought id elaborate now on my post.

Yes it is a girl! Am totally shocked as was convinced it was a boy but now realise the heartbeat was quite low etc. She is looking lovely, arms, legs, fingers etc. All bits working as should be. Was surreal watching this little thing flicking and kicking around, still not certain its mine and inside me!!
Scanner was the lady who has scanned me 3 times before so knew what ive been through so far and was lovely. Did the up and under shot and no mistaking the 'burger'!!!
Have another scan in 5 weeks so can double check then i suppose! Didnt see my consultant so couldnt talk about a cs but will mention it to my midwife on 15th sept.
For now im having panics that im gonna be a terrible mum to a girl and am worried i wont be able to bond or love my little girl as much as i do my ds but im sure this is normal! ISNT IT???

So ALEX LEIGH it is and her brother and sister are very pleased!!!

ebbie22 · 25/08/2005 09:29

well done hun,am so plsed for you....girls are lovely...
Good morning all xx

sweetheart · 25/08/2005 09:36

Thomcat · 27/08/2005 12:40

Bless you Bonkerz
Welcome home DQ, missed you too

I held 12 week old twins yesterday, and boy, my stomach did proper sumersaults at the thought of holding my own new born in December. If I thought I was excited before, man, check me now, proper giddy

Little mole is non-stop moving as well which is fab.

And at the same time I've never loved Lottie as much as I do now, she just keeps getting more and more lovley.

She's sat here at the kitchen table and we're listening to some great tunes on the radio, preparing for Carnivel weekend. She's eating her broccoli and has one arm in the air, finger raised to ceiling, saying 'tunnnnneee'! She's swaying from side to side and grinning. God i love her so much but for the first tiem don't feel scared at hom I'll be able to love her brother or sister as much, I already do, and it's fine, and I'm so happy and so excited.

Sorry, turned into a right gushy one, nice hormone rush!

dramaqueen72 · 27/08/2005 12:58

scully · 27/08/2005 15:56

hi, gosh lots to catch up on, good thing I only went away for a week
had a nice week in west scotland, slightly damp at times but hey, at least we were away from home, and somewhere very scenic. took dd to isle of mull on thursday - balamory is filmed at tobermory on the island (all the coloured houses...) she loved it, wonderful way to finish off the week before coming home yesterday. very tired today though, after unpacking, washing, grocery shopping etc. and I still have a cold, so feeling more heavily pregnant and tired for the first time. but bought my first pack of cotton wool and newborn nappies today when shopping, so that was exciting

bonkerz · 27/08/2005 16:05

Cant believe how much we have all stopped talking recently, obviously its a good thing cos we are all doing ok but i miss the days when i couldnt keep up with this thread!! ((now watch me moan when it takes me an hour to catch up!!))

Got a few girly bits at tescos today! let ds and dsd choose and they have great taste!!! Am totally amazed at how much i have got so far! just need sheets for cot and moses basket and then its more nappies etc to stock up on. Need to do it all really by the time ive given up work on 11th november so not long to go!

Feel really heavy mostly in the afternoon but have still not started putting n wieght! am still 2 stone lighter than the day i found out i was 5 weeks pregnant!! MIL came over last night and couldnt believe how pregnant i look now compared to end of july when she last saw me!! Maybe i am finally setting people straight that fat women can look pregnant!! DSD who hasnt been for a week cant stop touhing my tummy and she loves our scan picture!

What else can i say..........lol
mmmmmmm had a deli sandwich from macdonalds for lunch! Maybe that should be my new craving!! It was loverly!!! ((does that make me worse than a bad mummy cos im feeding my daughter macdonalds in the womb??))oh well , have custard doughnuts in fridge too!! I suppose one good thing about weight loss and lack of weight gain is that i feel i need to bulk up!!!!!

OK will shut up now!

scully · 27/08/2005 16:15

hmmm, custard donuts, just reminded me I have some jam donuts in the kitchen.....god I sound like Homer
have dropped off dh and his friend (who is staying with us) at other friends for a bbq tonight. can see it being a late, drunken affair and I'm really not up for that. quite looking forward to dd going to bed at a reasonable hour and me having some time to myself

bonkerz · 27/08/2005 16:20

Dh wants me to go out to a pub quiz tomorrow night cos MIL has asked to have kids sun night till monday night and i dont have the heart to say no! Just fancy a night infront of TV with no man huffing about whats on!! 10pm is late for me at the moment, normally 9 is my latest and then im still exhausted by afternoon!!!

TMI alert, just a question really, is increased discharge normal about now?? Its not bloody or smelly just seems to be alot of it, enougth to wear a liner anyway!

Nemo1977 · 27/08/2005 16:49

hi all
increased discharge very very normal bonkerz.

All this talk of doughnuts is making me jealous and hungry..lol Should really get on with doing our curry soon so will be ready when dh gets home from work.

I havent been on much as a couple know i was really low past couple of weeks...am trying to perk up and took some positive action re. money by listing about 50 things on ebay..lol So hopefully should get some finances from that. Main thing is have managed to sort out some things was having troubles with and mortgage is covered so ebay money will go towards food and petrol. Ds has been fab and sleeping really well as I have been forcing him to have a nap in afternoon which seems to have helped him move 5.30am waking to 7am..woo hoo its like a huge sleep in here.

anyway have babbled on enough

ninah · 27/08/2005 20:30

hello all. glad things looking up nemo well they sound good with curry for dinner and a lie in til 7 tomorrow!
glad everyone's OK not much news here just getting big and uncomfortable and tired. dss and friend just gone back home today after a week so house very peaceful and no footie on the tv thank goodness. The peace is deafening! bought ds a bike for his birthday today so he is very excited and hoping he's worn out enough for us to get a lie-in too!

ei23mummy · 28/08/2005 11:45

Nemo1977 · 29/08/2005 12:16

hi yes will be giving birth there and also had ds there. I didnt think it was too bad although i know some people dont like it. not a lot going on here, ds is watching babe pig in the city which seems a bit surreal to me..lol Dh is in work till 6.30 and we are skint so nothing happening.

bonkerz · 29/08/2005 13:20

hi girls,

All i can say is this baby better be a girl cos have a small pile of clothes now. Cant imagine they have made a mistake but maybe i should hold off buying more pink till october! Yeah right!!

No kids here, just DH and i and we were still up and out the door at 8am to market although have just woken up after snuggling and falling asleep!

Feel heavy and am waddling lots, tightenings in tummy were horrible last night and have constipation! oh the joys!!!

Caannot decide whether to buy a new buggy or not? Like the look of the zooper as then i have a choice to use and take the detachable toddler seat or not. Dh not impressed as have 3 already and dont REALY need a new buggy but havent had one new for a long time and this is my baby etc etc. May have won the argument by adding we can offset some of the cost against my tax as childminder therefore not paying half IYKWIM.
So dilemma of the day...... NEW BUGGY OR NOT????
