howdy ladies!! i had a little go at posting on that xmas baby thread and like all of you am a little p*d off with their total dismissal of all of the GREAT things about xmas babies!! i myself cant wait!!

ei23mummy · 15/09/2005 18:37

just had another read of the posts on the xmas baby thread and gosh these people are so small minded sometimes!! i couldnt stop myself from havin another rant- hormones is what i blame it on!!! i think were the luckiest girls alive and so should all of the negative girls on there!!

bonkerz · 15/09/2005 20:09

Hi girls,
Will have to read the thread about xmas babies, have avoided it so far!
Midwife today and went ok. BP is slightly high and she was concerned about me having headaches so has booked me in for a full blood count incase its my iron levels. Also have to have my Glucose test done ASAP incase its my blood sugars! Have to go back in 3 weeks for follow up appointment about my hip pain and managed to speak to her about my fear of natural delivery and if i can get an elective c/s or not. All seemed quite positive though! She felt my fundal height and said i was perfect and just as she was talking about listening for heartbeat the baby kicked so hard she jumped so decided a check was not needed!!!

Ok, am now getting worried about my sanity! On Tuesday we lost the remote control in our house! I immediately blamed DS and was quite a bad mummy to him. Looked everywhere, moved sofas, tipped out toy boxes and eventually sat down defeated. Sent DS to get me a bottle of water from the fridge and VOILA the remote control appeared cold and i dont remember putting it there! Worst still id been in and out the fridge all day!!! What with that and also today i went to post a letter and managed to post my keys too! Luckily it was the post box outside the main PO so a nice postman came out and got them out for me! What with that and buying tampons a few weeks ago i really dont know how im gonna cope in the next few months!WHO CAN BEAT THAT THEN??? The scary thing is that people pay me to look after their children!!!!

sweetheart · 16/09/2005 09:26

Bonkerz - great to hear everything is good with you. I did have a little giggle at your stories - I don't think you should worry hun, it's a totally natural part of pregnancy.

With my last pregnancy I was the same:-

I sent out all the end of month cheques at work without signing them

I left my handbag in a trolley at the supermarket and there was one other thing which was really odd too - but I can't remember what it was for the life of me.

I'll have to have a think.

Anyway, at least now your aware of these things you can try and concentrate a bit harder!!!!

It cheered up my morning anyway

kangel · 16/09/2005 10:27

Morning all,

Bonkers pmsl - sorry but that was funny and I can relate to the fridge incident!! I spent ages looking for the door bell (the bit you plug into the wall inside), I had my Mum searching all over the house when she came round - she came down the stairs to find me sifting out the freezer and asked what I was doing - In a stope I shouted looking for the door bell. Yeah coz its likely to be in the freezer hey!!! Well my Mum walked into the lounge laughing only to shout out that it was plugged in where it always is!!!! We are funny!!!

Midwife appointment went well although my blood pressure is high but I do feel stressed out with a weird anxious feeling - can't really explain. We heard the heartbeat which she said is between 133 - 150. We also felt the head - oh how amaizing!! She put mine and Dp's hands either side and we could roll its head between our fingers, DP was stunned and I nearly cried - thats our baby and we could feel it!!!

dramaqueen72 · 16/09/2005 12:24

aw kangel, how lovely how big is the head now then/ how lovely you could relate to a real part rather than just a bump iyswim.

this morning at the tesco checkout the cashier said 'oh you look about due, when are you due?' to which I said 'er.december' she let her jaw fall open and asiad 'omg!' with no attempt to backtrack or say anything nicer.....I felt awful. so obviously am huge aand should stay home from now to dec

Nemo1977 · 16/09/2005 12:27

morning all...well afternoon
just got back from toddlers.

DQ pmsl at the cashier just tell her you are aiming for a 12lb baby will soon shut them up.

Hope everyone is ok as its rather quiet on here..lol Take care

MINNIE1 · 16/09/2005 12:38

dramaqueen72

It gets me down when people say 'god your big'!! I was even wearing cloths to cover up... But now if they say it i just reply with yip i am but there is a baby growing in there or thats what happens when your expecting.

I bet the cashier felt terrible for the comment.

ebbie22 · 16/09/2005 13:13

Thank you whoever you are for the surprizes, loved all of them, just what i needed today as real down ...

Ebbiesstork · 16/09/2005 13:45

scully · 16/09/2005 13:46

why are you down ebbie? I like your comment nemo, trying for a 12lb baby
I feel I might be though, although could be something to do with the apple crumble and custard I'm currently eating

Nemo1977 · 16/09/2005 13:56

lol scully and the custard n apple crumble

Awww ebbie sorry your feeling down..anything we can help with????????

Dh is putting lining paper up with his dad at the min which is quite funny as his dad is even more of a perfectionist than dh is..lol

ebbie22 · 16/09/2005 13:56

Cant sleep, was up all night being sick alot the same as you all though really...
Everyone is saying how huge i am and have already put on over 2 stone...
I just need to sleap....

ninah · 16/09/2005 14:01

d being vile, dreading the weekend. He is away at the moment no idea where dreading him coming back. Have to make plans for ds me and new baby and feel too tired for any of it.

Nemo1977 · 16/09/2005 14:01

aww ebbie are you at home??Can you just go for a snooze or if in work tell them you are sick?

Nemo1977 · 16/09/2005 14:05

o dear bad day for a few people?
(((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))))) to all that need them.

Ninah what has happened with D?

sweetheart · 16/09/2005 15:20

Ninah - whats happened hun. If you need to chat just e-mail me. Is this a follow on from the party??? Drop me a line - I'll cheer you up

DQ - Several people have told me how huge I am - and have had quite alot of people shocked that I'm not due until Dec. I quite like being big, apart from the obvious discomfort it causes. I remember having a tiny bump with dd and being desperate for a bigger bump. It makes me feel so much more bonded with this baby - and I love being asked about it (which I wasn't with dd coz I didn't look very pregnant!!!)

Also - look on the upside, if your having a 10Ib baby at least thats a few less Ib's you have to loose afterwards. At this moment I'd much rather be having a 10Ib baby and loose it immediatly than have a 7Ib and have to diet and excercise the other 3Ib away!!!!

sweetheart · 16/09/2005 15:24

ninah - have e-mailed you. Are you at work?

ebbie22 · 16/09/2005 16:29

Thanks all, feel a little better after a lie down, just going to be one of these friday feelings i think....
Sorry for the downer on everyone else...Have i missed something ninah?Do hope ur ok xx

ninah · 16/09/2005 16:47

thanks sh! she did cheer me up
nemo we just had a horrid row again, he seems to be so angry all the time and I've had a gutful. Didn't really mean to 'come out' on here about our problems, but was feeling low. thanks for the hugs! Have a good weekend all see you on Monday xxx Ninah
PS I can't even spell at the mo, I meant 'p' of course, certainly not 'd'! tho even that's overstating the case at present!

ninah · 16/09/2005 16:48

thanks ebbie x

ei23mummy · 16/09/2005 18:18

hey ladies!! sorry to everyone who is a bad mood!! or feeling under the weather!!
but im on cloud nine at the mo!!! me and sean have just been and picked up the cot!! got it for the bargain price of £99!!! including matress and the lady in the shop gave us some bedding for it free of charge!! woohoo!!
iv also been and got my hair cut and it looks fab!! sean paid!! so im also in shock!! and i went shopping today and bought some nice underwear and a little snowsuit for the baby which was only £6 in peacocks!! what a day!!!!

dramaqueen72 · 16/09/2005 21:11

hey ladies.
sounds good ei, good for you.
ebbie, sorry, i hope you feel better asap, i dont weigh myself -far better not to know imo! god that would just about finish me off! overdid it today and got sharp pains across bump for doing so still, shelving in ds's room wasnt going to put itself up was it? I feel better for getting something done anyhow. I have the mental list of 'needs doing one day' things and right now -must eb pg hormones I suddenly want to do them all.
ninah I'm so sorry I had no idea you were going thro anything with your other half. sorry. you should of told us -er...that sounds abit harsh, I mean you can tell us dec ladies anything not just bump related. of course the idea of planning ahead makes you feel shattered, dont worry about that right now. just sit tight and see what happens. everything will be okay, with or without your 'p'. poor you, what a crappy stressy thing.... take it easy wont you.

s/h I always carry 'big' or very round anyway....but they have always been 7lb something so no cheating on the wieght for me actually I am NOT large for dates -my midwife measures me and tells me often! its just a case of people not knowing the difference between 6mths pg and 8mths I think. (people should learn to shut up on bump size comments!!!!) I love being asked about bump too....just sometimes the conversation could start with anything other than 'arent you huge?' LOL!!!
i have a 'prickling' achey pain above my belly button, which is quite sharp sometimes.....any ideas what it could be?? all I can think of is scar tissue there not being very stretchy? or should I track down a midwife? (not seeing mine til oct the something........) sometimes it take my breath away, others its justa dull background feeling.......GOD hark at me, a new ache everyday!!! I am falling apart!!!!!!!!
wheres george gone btw? hope youre okay george
nmeo hows the decorating going? i am soooooooooo impatient for ours to be started i feel an urge to just get on with it myself!

ebbie22 · 16/09/2005 22:29
