Hi All

This is the new thread taking over from "Feb 2011... Where only us and a select few know"

So sad that not everyone will be joining us on the new thread but here's looking to the future and hoping we start to see some lovely scans and good news from everyone in the next month

Gosh, this thread is slow today! Hope everyone is having a lovely day and regaining some of that energy!

Had really tired day today. I think It's because I did a bit too much. feel bit pathetic. dh is on pc pouring over holidays whilst I lay in bed feeling guilty. Keep telling him I will look tomorrow. just have no energy or motivation after 7 pm

Chloe - yes we get on far better now there is a good 100 miles separating us and we hardly see each other! Still can't spend much more than a few hours together though!

Americanexpat - We joked about it but didn't really think it would happen! Said to the sonographer how bad I am still feeling and she was surprised no one had suggested it already!
Went through the first 9-10 weeks feeling awful but now actually being sick! Seems to be getting worse as time goes on!

jack my midwife suggested twins to me at booking as I am soooo sick and its my third and I have never been this ill!! Will find out next week, am 12 weeks and getting sicker!!

I've been a bit quiet recently but it's just because nothing much is happening with me. Still waiting for my first scan which is still a fortnight away. Everything seems to be going ok, I feel a bit less sick now but am still SO thankful that it's the summer holidays. Not sure how I would have handled the last couple of weeks if I had been working. Have told lots of people about my news now, which is nice, but there's still a lot of people who don't know - including work! - so they've all been sworn to keep it off facebook. I have to check facebook constantly to make sure noone writes about it on my profile!

zerominuszero hmmmm...are you keeping it facebook free until you've told school? I was going to go public next week assuming my scan was OK and was hoping to put my scan photo on fb....didn't even consider the work thing. But then, a couple of the powers that be (including the Head) do already know anyway as I had to tell them as I had a bit of time off at the end of term....so it's not like they are last to know. I haven't had a 'chat' with the head re: maternity leave yet, but thought I'd do that when I'm back in september. I don't want work to get 'off' with me for telling everyone else but them...but then, the important people do know and it's summer holidays so I'm not at school.

Morning ladies n babies. Am just starting 3 wks plus off work and Feel sooo relaxed! been looking at holidays but can't decide. never too bothered re rooms etc but suddenly more important to have nice room as will not be drinking and prob back earlier at nights. cant wait tho. last few weeks have been stressful can't wait to relax a bit.
I know I am old but just don't get the face book thing. I'm not on it so don't know how it works tho.
Few people not been on for ages but hopefully all on holiday or busy with school hols.

Antivirls weren't even emntioned - my appointment was a bit chaotic though as he was the only doc on and an old dear had collapsed in the waiting room whilst I was in with him so he kept getting distracted which was fine as she was clearly an emergency but I did come away feeling a bit like well great, so I have learnt nothing new for seeing you and you have nothing about it other than tell me to come back if I get a rash. I am not sure it is shingles to be honest as mum thinks I haven't had chicken pox (doc said I prob have it just might have gone unoticed as ds had it and I didn't catch it) and although it is damn uncomfortable it is not incapacitating pain which I believe shingles is excruciating. My vision is slightly skewed today though and I am meant to be travelling to Brighton for a hen do tonight so not really sure where to go from here - leave it and hope for the best or something else?

How do you cope with nights out? we have been invited to bbq tomorrow and I am already thinking I can't be bothered! feel so tired at night. also if I'm honest don't really enjoy a night out w/thout a drink and a sneaky marlboro light! bad woman I am.

Hi everyone. I finally got my appointment to see the specialist about my ibs for next wednesday so hopefully I'll know a bit more about how to control it next week. I have been feeling great the last few days gaining more energy etc but last night for no reason at all I got really agitated and then burst into tears! Dp gave me a hug and said he was expecting it and was really understanding bless him. Does anyone else feel like that? Fine one min then crying the next?

I know what you mean Ledkr, I am not at all looking forward to it as am not a good sober person round drunk people and like you crave the odd crafty fag but I managed at my dads at the weekend I can manage it again! Can't back out either otherwise I will feel like I have wasted £200 as already paid accommodation and trains.

Linz - I felt very emotional earlier in my pg but was only thinking last night that my emotions seemed to be calming down a bit, I can get through the dog's trust advert without shedding a tear now

Really miss a night out pg was complete surprise but I wish id had night out before to get it out of my system. Love the summer nights out too. no coats and skimpy tops etc. Was thinking can have night out after but am guessing the reality will be I'm too tired from night feeds Not to mention too flippin fat! dd has a stag do in may so I was very reasonable about it whilst thinking of a girls weekend in the summer! sneaky eh?

Hi Chloe I haven't caught up on the posts properly as at work, but if he suspected shingles and your vision is now affected you will need to be seen in eye casualty today. Sounds like it might not be that at all but if there is any chance I would get it checked

I've asked everyone who knows to keep it off Facebook for the moment, as I've not told work yet (tomorrow maybe) and a handful of other who I want to tell personally. So far no one has mentioned it.

I was on a night out with work a couple weeks ago. I did miss drinking a bit (love a good pint), but I took the car and offered to drive others so no one asked questions. I didn't get home until midnight though and had to have two naps the following day to recover!

Ah Ledkr and Chloe the joy of a sneaky cig, thankfully I have felt so ill this time that I haven't even felt a slight desire for one!! Am not on facebook either although dh is and is under strict instructions not to mention it. I'm not going to tell work for a while yet, not long started I haven't been able to drink since I had dd1, seriously one drink makes me feel as bad as if I had 15!! For a while I was thinking well might as well make it worth it!!but took 3 days to recover How come I can't go out for a night, come home have a glass of coke, a Maccy D's in the morning and be fine any more!!

Afternoon all, had my scan this morning and all is well! Just one baby, NT shows low risk (although waiting for blood results). EDD changed to 18th Feb and then allow a couple of weeks for the baby to be very late

Off to tell immediately family now, might let everyone else just guess on their own- it shouldn't take them long to figure out! So relieved to wear maternity clothes now, no more shoe-horning myself into my levis!

Hmmm why didn't that work?

Wanted to change mine and Sweetnitanitro's EDD's from 16th to 18th but now we are all on one line....

Anyway, been for (private) NT scan today and showed very low risk although bloods won't be back until tomorrow.

Got Consultant appointment for Monday 16th as well so things are moving along!!!!

Oh and they also moved my EDD back 2 days to 18th... if anyone can sort out the stats now I've messed them up I'd be very grateful!

Glad to hear your NT scan showed low risk! Let me have a go and see if this works...

Funny we have both been moved from 16th - 18th!

Hopefully I won't be moved back again as she wrote it in black marker on my notes.

Looking forward to seeing the consultant although when I asked the sonographer if he was any good she said yes he's fine, but he's only recently been promoted to consultant ... Seriously thinking about going private if I have to have a planned C-section.

I'm still waiting for my blood test results - its been over a week, which is a good thing as they would have called if they came back as high risk. Am planning to tell work after I get my letter through, I'm sure they'll be thrilled as I've only been back in for 2 1/2 weeks

Feeling pretty grim today, have lost my voice and coughing up nasty stuff, guess I've just picked up DD's illness, but could do without it at the moment as I don't think I could be any more tired.

Great scan news everyone. had to see mw today for my two weekly blood test wasn't my usual one and she was quite disinterested tbh. Dd with me and wasn't even acknowledged. Odd. Went for Chinese lunch buffet...got my moneys worth ha ha. then did museum but was exhausted by then. can't remember feeling this tired with the others. Must be my oldNess.
