Ciaran's Thread For Bereaved Mammies... Where It's Not About Finding The Answers, It's About Learning To Live With The Questions...

Many many thanks to TW and Harry for passing the baton to myself and Ciaran.

Ladies, i found this poem, and thought it was particularly apt for this thread.

The Gift of Someone Who Listens

Those of us who have traveled awhile
Along this path called grief
Need to stop and remember that mile,
The first mile of no relief.
It wasn't the person with answers,
Who told us the ways to deal.
It wasn't the one who talked and talked
That helped us start to heal.
Think of friends who quietly sat
And held our hands in theirs,
The ones who let us talk and talk
And hugged away our tears.
We need to always remember
That, more than the words we speak,
It's the gift of someone who listens
That most of us desperately seek.

Hi Girls,

So sorry I've not been around, as you know we recently moved house and due to our Boradband company's general incompetance we have only just got back online.

I've not had a chance yet to catch up on what has gone on in my absence but hopefully will catch up over the next few days (time permiting!)

Oh and by the way I did see the bit about my due date which is actually the 4th of June (Noah's remember day) and that brings me to my seconds bit of news! I gave birth to a baby girl 6lb 14 oz (36 weeks) on Sunday! We have called her Elodie and she is lovely - the spitting image of both Aurelie and Noah.
Hope you are all well and will catch up again soon! xxx

Congratulations to the Lighthouses on the birth of Elodie I cannot stop smiling today as my friend's SIL whose first DS was stillborn has had her DS2 and they are all well. Lots of new babies.
Elodie is a beautiful name.
FM wisdom teeth are sodding awful, I only have one of mine left and it sort of leans backwards and is neither use nor ornament. Hope you don't have dry socket, it is truly horrible.
Hope everyone else is OK - sorry you are struggling Dee, take care of yourself. x

shabster · 17/05/2009 09:30
