SANDS have sent me an "ALWAYS LOVED NEVER FORGOTTEN" order form

They are YELLOW WRISTBANDS they are £2 each.

They have "ALWAYS LOVED NEVER FORGOTTEN" written on them I think

IMHO they are a lovely way to remind others of our babies.

It will also raise money for preventing more babies dying.

We are going to buy some for us and our family and friends in memory of DT1.

If anyone else is interested I can give more info off the sheet.

right this is a serious question so please don't get offended - this has really been playing on my mind (especially at this time of year as my m/c baby was due May 17) but...if you wear a wristband, what do you say when people ask you what it is for?

Do you just tell it like it is and face the reaction?

RTKangaMummy · 18/05/2005 10:33

I am wearing 2, one on each wrist

I am going to tell people that one is mine and one is for DT1

DT2 will have one and DH

I am just going to tell whoever asks the truth, but most people know anyway.

Enid, I am so sorry it never goes away, does it.
I think if you are a wristband wearer (I am!) you do need to be prepared to say "it's in memory of my baby who died, and raising funds to support other parents whose baby has died".
Have to be honest and say that I can only talk about it this predictably calmly a good two and three quarter years down the line, so I guess I am also wearing mine for people for whom it is all still too raw and immediate.

I try not to think about it tbh esp as dd2 is such a joy and if I'd had May baby then dd2 wouldn't be here - all very guilt inducing.

Anyway I don't think having an early m/c can be compared to some people here really.

Better just get on and have another one then I'll have my three and feel complete
