SANDS have sent me an "ALWAYS LOVED NEVER FORGOTTEN" order form

They are YELLOW WRISTBANDS they are £2 each.

They have "ALWAYS LOVED NEVER FORGOTTEN" written on them I think

IMHO they are a lovely way to remind others of our babies.

It will also raise money for preventing more babies dying.

We are going to buy some for us and our family and friends in memory of DT1.

If anyone else is interested I can give more info off the sheet.

mrsdarcy, I really don't know what to say to you. This added severe worry after losing Maisie last year seems the height of unfairness. It sounds as if your consultant is very good in terms of both follow-ups and caring about you. I do hope the counsellor continues to be helpful. I posted to you earlier down this thread and I certainly found my counsellor a real lifeline during my last pregnancy. XXX

Spacecadet · 26/04/2005 15:42

mrsdarcy this is so cruel for you and your family and the waiting and watching is obviously the worst.im glad that the hospital have offered you counselling, you are right though in saying that if others were examined so closely would they appear normal too? I discovered at the age of 21 that i had severly deformed kidneys, yet had lived a perfectly normal life until i started getting uti;s when i was preg.scans didnt exist when mum was preg so they never knew.i know that is prob cold comfort in the light of day, but hold the thought, that just maybe your baby will be fine, if it does turn out that there isan additional prob, forewarned is forearmed as they say, i hope it is not the case though

bumping for anyone who may not have seen about the SANDS wristbands

OP posts:
nappybaglady · 27/04/2005 13:57

SANDS won't have the wristbands until 10 May (I phoned today) but don't let that stop anyone from ordering.

RTKangaMummy · 27/04/2005 19:11

Thanks Nappybaglady

I guess that is after you have left isn't it?

Just to say, mrsd, if you haven't seen, we've got messages for you in July thread.

mrsdarcy · 28/04/2005 23:11

Thanks hub. We're going away for the bank holiday and I'll pop in next week. I tend to go to ground when things get on top of me

mrsdarcy · 28/04/2005 23:17

Spacecadet, Marina and RTKM - thanks so much for your support. It really is a big help, especially when I have a spell of finding it hard to confide in friends in RL. x

nappybaglady · 29/04/2005 11:12

RTKM
yes - we go on monday.

Hope May passes quickly for you and that you have a wonderful party for ds in June

Marina · 29/04/2005 11:19

nappybaglady, where? Somewhere interesting and nice I hope.
Mrsdarcy, I am glad it helps a little. I found it quite hard to confide in others in RL too, but posting on here made all the difference and in fact further strengthened the friendships I had started to make with people I met through Mumsnet. Going to ground does help sometimes but don't ever feel you shouldn't post on here when you need some ears to listen.
I hope you have a good weekend away, that we all have a lovely time - it will be sunny and warm on Monday.
I know May will be especially hard for you RTKM XXXX

Spacecadet · 29/04/2005 20:53

mrsdarcy i hope you have a restful weekend away

Newbarnsleygirl · 29/04/2005 21:13

Newbarnsleygirl · 01/05/2005 22:31

No Probs.

It sounded like such a nice idea. I'll give more info when I get it.

RTKangaMummy · 17/05/2005 19:45

Has anybody received their bands yet?

OP posts:
Gobbledigook · 17/05/2005 19:49

RTKM - can you just tell me about the SANDS wristbands? Where can I get one?

I have a good friend who had a stillbirth and as mother who has been fortunate enough not to have had to go through anything like some of the posters on here, I'd like to support SANDS.

RTKangaMummy · 18/05/2005 09:08

Mine have just arrived and they are lovely

On one side it says "ALWAYS LOVED" and one the other side it says "NEVER FORGOTTEN"

There are little hand and footprints on either side of the words.

OP posts:
mrsdarcy · 18/05/2005 10:02

Hope you're ok RTKM. I' know May is very difficult for you and you are in my thoughts.

RTKangaMummy · 18/05/2005 10:25

Thank you MrsD

We have been on a real roller coaster recently

Because of DH and then DS {DT2}

When these arrived this morning I was and

It was really weird.

Next week will be especially hard

It is all the mixed up emotions that are hard

DT2 looking forward to the birthday and me being excited for him and also sad for DT1.

I am spending alot of time talking to DT1 up in the stars each night before bed, out of the window.
