Many thanks to ILike for passing on the baton to myself and Harry . I know we are a bit previous but I am worried I will get the timing wrong .

I feel like I have only been here a wee while but it is invaluable to me .

This is a poem that has helped me in the past .

I have not turned my back on you
So there is no need to cry.
I'm watching you from heaven
Just beyond the morning sky.

I've seen you almost fall apart
When you could barely stand.
I asked an angel to comfort you
And watched her take your hand.

She told me you are in more pain
Than I could ever be.
She wiped her eyes and swallowed hard
Then gave your hand to me.

Although you may not feel my touch
Or see me by your side.
I've whispered that I love you
While I wiped each tear you cried.

So please try not to ache for me
We'll meet again one day.
Beyond the dark and stormy sky
A rainbow lights the way.

Loads better TW. Lew is here!! Sounds like a government health warning. His latest trick? Pull yourself up with the furniture, then let go and stand by yourself.....whilst looking at your feet and wondering how to walk! He is just 9 months and 1 week!!! BUT my DS1 - his daddy- walked the day he was 10 months - GAWD HWLP US

travellingwilbury · 13/03/2009 08:14

Jamie walked at 9months something too . V scary , he has been running ever since

Glad you are feeling better .

lottiejenkins · 13/03/2009 09:39

Morning all, Im feeling better, just one bad bout of the trots yesterday morning....I went to a cinema night last night to watch Easy Virtue! Very good film, then went to see my friend Jo at the pub for her birthday!
Wilf didnt walk till he was two!

shabster · 13/03/2009 10:03

Bet he's made up for it ever since Lottie LOL

lottiejenkins · 13/03/2009 10:12

Definetly! We are going to see Marley and Me tomorrow morning! We are both very excited!!!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 13/03/2009 13:10

Glad to hear you are feeling better.

I hope you enjoy Marley & Me. I read the book a few years ago and loved it. If you don't mind me asking Lottie, is the film subtitled so Wilf can enjoy it to? Sorry, I don't know much about how deaf people cope.

Olissa · 13/03/2009 15:20

Thank you everyone, sorry for disappearing, I said I would be about quite a bit and then vanished for three days! Frasersmummy, am laughing at the listening ears not being on - I didn't think I was explaining myself very well. I meant to make the points that a) you can be well informed and still have a tragic outcome and b) that tragic outcome will not necessarily change your views. But I think I failed

Early walking always takes me aback, DS was nearly 17 months! Am off to see friends tomorrow and their DS was walking at New Year's, was 10 months then so he's probably running now. Looking forward to seeing him.

FMN I lit a candle on Wednesday too, hope you don't mind as we've only just 'met'. I think you and Eris have done an amazing thing bringing us all together like this.

A couple of friends and acquaintances of mine have had babies in the last week - one at 28 weeks. Little George is in SCBU but doing well and a good weight for his gestation - 3lbs 2oz. Am thinking about him a lot today as well.
