Many thanks to ILike for passing on the baton to myself and Harry . I know we are a bit previous but I am worried I will get the timing wrong .

I feel like I have only been here a wee while but it is invaluable to me .

This is a poem that has helped me in the past .

I have not turned my back on you
So there is no need to cry.
I'm watching you from heaven
Just beyond the morning sky.

I've seen you almost fall apart
When you could barely stand.
I asked an angel to comfort you
And watched her take your hand.

She told me you are in more pain
Than I could ever be.
She wiped her eyes and swallowed hard
Then gave your hand to me.

Although you may not feel my touch
Or see me by your side.
I've whispered that I love you
While I wiped each tear you cried.

So please try not to ache for me
We'll meet again one day.
Beyond the dark and stormy sky
A rainbow lights the way.

Morning all, thank you for your greetings! I had a very tuneless voice in my ear at 6.45 singing Happy Birthday Mummy!! Its my friends sons birthday today as well, the other Lewis (we call him Louis) I always call him my special birthday present! He is so loveable!!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 14/04/2009 10:39

Happy birthday Lottie, have a great day xx

lottiejenkins · 14/04/2009 22:04

Thanks everyone. It has been a lovely day. Wilf has just gone to bed after getting THOROUGHLY overexcited watching the Chelsea match! We had a tea party with champagne this evening....lots of sandwiches, cheese straws cake and crisps!!!

shabster · 14/04/2009 22:09

Oooooh Lottie - that sounds like my kind of party

lottiejenkins · 14/04/2009 22:14

I couldnt do a thing with him while the football was on, he watched the whole match! From the depths of despair ["Liverpool are rubbish"] to total exhilaration.........he careered out of the sitting room and nearly knocked me over., then grabbed the phone and roared down the phone to my friend in Dublin!
I rang my friend who got him into Chelsea and let him roar at her as well, she was in hysterics! He is in bed now but i have a sneaking suspicion it will be a long time till he's asleep!

Good morning girls xx

Have just lit my candle in honour of Fraser. Thinking about Fraser and all his family today.

Also thinking about the 96 people who lost their lives at Hillsborough 20 years ago. I am a massive fan of football and I remember watching that story unfold on the tv.

Fraser and also the Liverpool fans who lost their lives - YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE. xxxx

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 15/04/2009 07:51

Thinking of you all today Frasersmummy. A candle will be lit here today in honour of your darling boy Fraser.

Take care xxx

lottiejenkins · 15/04/2009 07:53

charleymouse · 15/04/2009 11:23

Happy Birthday for yesterday Lottie, sounds like you had a good one

Frasersmummy thinking of you today.

Shabster I am in Sheffield and remember that day as you could hear ambulances pretty much all afternoon and it was horrific. Can't believe it was 20 years ago. The whole city was just in shock.

Feeling a bit low as my Dad would have been 65 today and he never even knew he was going to be a grandaddy, now he has 3 grandchildren and another on the way.

Hope you are all well and had a Happy Easter.

shabster · 15/04/2009 13:30

Awwww Charley - Im sure Fraser wont mind sharing his special candle with your Dad....even though Im not sure I believe in God I KNOW your Dad has met your children...and never forget he will always watch over you xxxx

Hi all

Thanks for all your kind thoughts.. we have had a quiet day today we took Fraser a new cherub, a new eeyore and released some balloons up to him

I have been really calm .. which has made me feel really really odd.

As you know we actually lost Fraser 2 days before his b/day so the last few days are all significant for us..

and this period in history seems fated

hillsborough disaster, expolosion on apollo 13, titanic sinking, president linclon assassination, the start of the Tiananmen Square riot which ended in massacre..

all happened between April 13 and 15..

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 15/04/2009 19:23

Hi FM. I'm glad things have gone as well as they can.

Nice to see you TW, I thought I hadn't seen you for a while, now I know why!

shabster · 15/04/2009 19:45

FMammy - how odd that all those things happened around these dates. You have been in my thoughts all week xxxx
