Many thanks to ILike for passing on the baton to myself and Harry . I know we are a bit previous but I am worried I will get the timing wrong .

I feel like I have only been here a wee while but it is invaluable to me .

This is a poem that has helped me in the past .

I have not turned my back on you
So there is no need to cry.
I'm watching you from heaven
Just beyond the morning sky.

I've seen you almost fall apart
When you could barely stand.
I asked an angel to comfort you
And watched her take your hand.

She told me you are in more pain
Than I could ever be.
She wiped her eyes and swallowed hard
Then gave your hand to me.

Although you may not feel my touch
Or see me by your side.
I've whispered that I love you
While I wiped each tear you cried.

So please try not to ache for me
We'll meet again one day.
Beyond the dark and stormy sky
A rainbow lights the way.

hi guys

birthday party went well yesterday.. the first half hour was hard as there were a lot of clinging and not joining in .. so we stopped early for food and then there was no stopping them!!!

TW how was yours??

Mum still in hospital.. oxygen levels jsut keep dropping... goodness knows when she will be home. Tomorrow is Ross' b/day so he is emotional about Nana not being here

And of course we are rushing head long towards Frasers b/day

So I am tired and emotional, the tears are never far away. Stop the world I want to get off !

Thinking of you x

shabster · 06/04/2009 23:21

'Come on FM....jump!!

I hate that feeling of anxiousness...that awful rollercoaster type of feeling. What day is Frasers birthday?

OK my love. Deep breath, calm thoughts, and pin this smile on!! Thinking about you all xxxxx

shabster · 07/04/2009 07:24

LOL You ok Dee?

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 07/04/2009 07:47

Happy Birthday Ross

You ok FM? Silly question really. Have you spoken with your Mum's Consultant about their treatment plan? Sometimes taking some control of the situation can make it less stressful. April is a shite month for me too, so we'll hold hands, share tissues and get through this together. Deal?

What's up Dee?

Is it this week that lighthouse is moving house?

Deemented · 07/04/2009 07:50

Just the fact that it's morning is all. I'm not very good at mornings...

Oh, and the fact that a friend of mine convinced me to try that Dove tanning moistureiser - i look like i've been bloody tangoed and am a wee bit streaky - keep your fingers crossed it washes off!!!!

shabster · 07/04/2009 07:54

Sure it will Dee!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROSS - lots of love from everyone at our house xx

Deemented · 07/04/2009 08:07

It didn't - but hey ho!!!

Happy Birthday Ross x

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 07/04/2009 08:24

Er, yes, it doesn't wash off. You can exfoliate and that will help it on its way. I've used all of those tinted products and the bastard things have all streaked.

Deemented · 07/04/2009 08:51

I think i'll go for a spray tan before the christening! Thank god i've got a few weeks before then!

gardeningmum05 · 07/04/2009 09:24

Deemented · 08/04/2009 07:42

Morning folks!

Mmmm... that sausage and cheese pie sounds delish - any chance of the recipe?

We're off to softplay this morning (oh, what fun!)and then i'm going to look at cars this afternoon.

Hope everyone has a good day x

lottiejenkins · 08/04/2009 08:50

Morning all, Dee there isnt really a recipe I use a roll of pastry, which has to be left out of the fridge for a while. Then a packet of sausage meat which i spread over the pastry, then i sprinkle grated cheese and mixed herbs over the top then put latice strips over the top with the remaining pastry! Cook till the meat is done!
It is worth using good quality sausage meat, we have friends who have their own pork business and their sausage meat is yummy, once i had to use Somerfields own sausage meat and it was BLEUGGGGGGGGGGGGGH!!!! Rather like how cement would taste i should imagine....

frasersmummy · 08/04/2009 09:07

morning girls

mum got home yesterday which is good news although she doesnt seem to have been told much
she is getting some kind of oxygen machine delivered in the next few days ... when quizzed about how she was to use it she didnt know .. someone would come and tell her she thought !!!

why would you let a pensioner out of hospital with no information about thier treatment??? oh well at least she is at home

and yesterday was lovely visiting all the relatives with ross dressed up as captain hook

Today we are going to try and sort out toys as we dont have room for them all... wish me luck

frasersmummy · 08/04/2009 09:09

oh meant to ask what kind of cars dee??? a nice wee fast round around? a family car?

second hand ? new?

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 08/04/2009 19:15

Glad to hear you Mum is home FM, that's such great news. I hope she gets the follow up treatment she requires, if not you may have to get bolshy on her behalf. She probably thinks she doesn't want to trouble anyone!

I was talking to a lady I know today and she told me that her friends lost their little boy recently from leukemia (sp?) Apart from the illness, their story is very much like ours, so this mutual friend is going to hook us up so we can chat as the mum really wants to talk to someone who has also lost a child. I really hope I can help her, I feel so so sad for her. It's made me feel all day.
