Many thanks to ILike for passing on the baton to myself and Harry . I know we are a bit previous but I am worried I will get the timing wrong .

I feel like I have only been here a wee while but it is invaluable to me .

This is a poem that has helped me in the past .

I have not turned my back on you
So there is no need to cry.
I'm watching you from heaven
Just beyond the morning sky.

I've seen you almost fall apart
When you could barely stand.
I asked an angel to comfort you
And watched her take your hand.

She told me you are in more pain
Than I could ever be.
She wiped her eyes and swallowed hard
Then gave your hand to me.

Although you may not feel my touch
Or see me by your side.
I've whispered that I love you
While I wiped each tear you cried.

So please try not to ache for me
We'll meet again one day.
Beyond the dark and stormy sky
A rainbow lights the way.

I think Wilfs got blardy impetigo again!!

frasersmummy · 21/03/2009 21:12

HI girls

It has been nice to see the sun the last few days. Wednesday we went cycling at the seaside, Thurs we went to the Botanic Gardens and today our neigbours kids were in playing in the Garden

Lottie I dont know what to say about the impetigo but in terms of your party I think when the day of your party dawns you will realise the pattern has been broken and you wll have a great time

Tomorrow is obviously mothers day ... and I will notice the hole in my family once again and there will be an ache in my heart..

I find mothers day sooo hard.. as I am sure you all do too

Thinking of you all tomorrow

Hi folks!

Well , i'm up here at my sisters, and met up with some friends today and Smithills working farm. Was due to meet at 11.30, and i got hopelessly and utterly lost and didn't get there til 12.45!!! I have noooo sense of direction whatsoever! Consequently, i now know Bolton better then i had ever anticipated

Hope everyone is okay and is having a good weekend.

shabster · 22/03/2009 01:44

Happy Mothers Day ladies.

Such a strange day. I love to celebrate it with Mac and my mum and my mil, but there's this bloody great gap.

DH got me a card 'To Mum from both of us'. It made me smile and cry all at the same time.

lottie - have you got some anti-biots for the impetigo? Are they passing it around eachother at school?

lottiejenkins · 22/03/2009 08:46

Im putting fucidin cream on it ! We are going to see the doc tomorrow afternoon!

shabster · 22/03/2009 08:51

Happy Mothers Day my friends. xx

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 22/03/2009 08:58

I found the cream didn't help, but oral anti-biots did. I didn't take the oral option lightly but the cream just wasn't doing anything.

G'morning Gals,

Happy Mothers day to us all. Tis very bittersweet, isn't it? I'll just be glad when today is over and done with.

Shabs - my sister lives in Rossendale, so not far from you at all. I head back to Welshy Wales tomorrow, but next time i'm up this way we'll hafta get together!

shabster · 22/03/2009 09:05

Dee - you blew my mind last night

You must come and visit next time you are up - that would be fun. Fancy you being in 'beautiful' Bolton

lottiejenkins · 22/03/2009 19:23

Disgusting post on the Jade Goody thread saying that they reckon she died two days ago and they kept it secret till today to get more publicity!!!! I have given my views on that!!!

Thelighthousekeeper · 22/03/2009 21:04

Evening all. Have been thinking of us all today. I've found this weekend really hard, spent most of yesterday in tears,I guess its a combination of both Mothers Day and Noahs birthday in the same week. My DH had done one of those cards from Moonpig with a beautiful photo of DD and Noah and he signed it from all of them, including Bean (the one on the way).

Lottie just had a listen to the song, its lovely although has reduced me to tears again! Will have to get it now for my ipod. Hope Wilf is okay and the Doc's sort it out.

Such sad news about Jade. At least she is at peace now.

Hugs to you all.xxx

frasersmummy · 22/03/2009 21:53

Hi Lighthouse.. I would offer you a tissue but mine are all a bit soggy from the tears I have shed today.
I promised myself I wouldnt fall apart this mothers day.. but I did anyway

I think your dh sounds like a complete star.. what a beautiful card.. something to treasure forever

The next few days will be hard for the whole family but you will find the strength to get through it and we are all here if you want to talk.

There will be a light shining for Noah in Glasgow on Thursday
