Many thanks to ILike for passing on the baton to myself and Harry . I know we are a bit previous but I am worried I will get the timing wrong .

I feel like I have only been here a wee while but it is invaluable to me .

This is a poem that has helped me in the past .

I have not turned my back on you
So there is no need to cry.
I'm watching you from heaven
Just beyond the morning sky.

I've seen you almost fall apart
When you could barely stand.
I asked an angel to comfort you
And watched her take your hand.

She told me you are in more pain
Than I could ever be.
She wiped her eyes and swallowed hard
Then gave your hand to me.

Although you may not feel my touch
Or see me by your side.
I've whispered that I love you
While I wiped each tear you cried.

So please try not to ache for me
We'll meet again one day.
Beyond the dark and stormy sky
A rainbow lights the way.

I am having a party in our local Village Hall! I have bought a very smart black jumpsuit on Ebay! I am very excited! I am going back to school with Wilf after the Easter Hols on the Sunday afternoon! The Speech Therapist has requested a meeting and also I can see The Physio and the rather yummy Occupational Therapist!!!

Olissa · 18/03/2009 15:09

Gorgeous day here as well.
Congrats Shabs and Mr Shabs, my mum and dad will have been married 31 years on the 31st, so you are just ahead of them

Hope everyone is feeling a bit better, sounds like a lot of us have had a difficult few days. I got harangued by some woman trying to make me buy lucky heather yesterday, and when I (politely) refused she decided to tell my fortune instead, and told me I was going to have another baby and it would be a girl (had DS with me). Of course, muggins then burst into tears in the middle of the street. But the good news is after explaining myself, apparently I qualified for free lucky heather. I wonder if it will work?

My CPN thinks I am a bit borderline without the tablets (difficult to tell if you're depressed or just having a sh*t time of it!) so I might be back on them before too long. Can't decide what to do. You'd think I'd be used to it after 11 years.

Anyway, I hope the weather stays like this, I find it makes a real difference and I do feel better again today

Olissa · 18/03/2009 15:14

x-posted with Lottie there - Lottie I can't tell you're excited at all, honest

travellingwilbury · 18/03/2009 19:33

Hello all

Lottie your party sounds fab

I have had a very emotional day . My youngest decided to get Harrys memory box out (again) and then he found the box of cards and letters that we had been sent so I started reading some of them and turned into a bit of a mess . I found a letter from my dad that I haven't read for a very long time and it made me sob .

I feel better for it though . I think all the insurance stuff has done my head in this week . Doesn't look like we are getting anything so no decisions to be made . Was quite relieved .

Thelighthousekeeper · 18/03/2009 20:17

Hi Girls,

Many congratulations to you and Mr Shabs. Here's to another 31!

TW - sorry you've been having a hard time today,

Sorry haven't been around lately, things have been rather full on and stressful, we may be moving in a months time, so am having to deal with all the stress that goes with it, (must be mad doing this whilst nearly 7 months pregnant!) I thought I was coping okay but then last week I got taken into hospital as I fainted in Waitrose! All seems okay now though and all appears okay with bump. Also we have Noah's 1st birthday approaching next week, am dreading it, I found myself looking at birthday cards today, and wondering if I should get one anyway but I don't know.. time doesn't seem to make things any easier.

lottiejenkins · 18/03/2009 20:25

Lighthouse, I put a card on Jacks grave on his birthday from Wilf and I.

hazygirl · 18/03/2009 20:31

hi girls hope everyone ok or feeling better ,its hard at the moment we all have these days, the sun is shining and we still have the crappy path .
lighthousekeeper we always have a card,we still celebrate his birthday, but everyone is different,i know people look at us when we do it,but hey we do what we feel is right.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 18/03/2009 20:44

Hugs TW. Wishing you a good, deep sleep tonight.

Nice to see you lighthouse. Glad to hear you are doing ok after your turn in Waitrose. I remember reading that the majority of pregnant couples move or have building works done. Why do we do it?!

When is Noah's birthday? I would like to join in remembering your darling boy if you don't mind.

I find on the whole, time does makes things easier, but not anniv's. It stirs up so many memories and if, but's or maybe's. You need to do whatever is right for you and whatever it takes to get through it all xxx

shabster · 18/03/2009 21:16

TW - I know what you mean about reading old letters and cards. Sometimes I do it on purpose...when I am feeling very low, for no good reason, I always open the boys treasure box and end up sobbing. It is such a release.

Thelighthousekeeper · 18/03/2009 21:43

ILike I'm really touched, its next Thursday, the 26th. We are planning on doing something to mark the day but I don't know what yet.

shabster · 18/03/2009 21:54

Lighthouse - will be thinking about you all on Noahs day. Have to go and get candles tomorrow - have seen some that smell of chocolate ice cream and some raspberry ripple ice cream!!! Oh yes you have to celebrate Noahs birthday.....can you imagine the amount of partying our children have done since we all met. Can you imagine what a mess they all make - because I know that wherever they all are (I like to think heaven even though I am not religious) they will be watching over us all and grinning from ear to ear. They will be so glad for our special thread. My boys and Everlongs son will be watching over all of them and taking care of them. Matt will be teaching them how to dance and any rude songs he can think of!!!

We will light candles in Lancashire to celebrate Noah. xxxxxxx

Thelighthousekeeper · 18/03/2009 22:11

Thank you so much Shabs. Need to talk to DH about what we'll do, he's having the day off so we can all be together. Hope Mr Shabs has been spoiling you today!

Off to watch Desperate Housewives now, see you guys tomorrow. xx

shabster · 18/03/2009 22:43
