Welcome to our santuary and haven ladies.

Many thanks for Frasersmummy for passing the baton onto Cole and I. I am touched and hope I can do all our lo's justice.

For any people wanting to join, don't be shy. We cry, we rant, we smile, we laugh - whatever we feel like we need to do.

Good morning

We have got a snowy day here , even the schools are closed . A couple of inches and everything grinds to a halt . Not that I mind , I would rather be building a snowman than trudging up to the school today .

How is everyone ?

shabster · 02/02/2009 07:50

Morning TW - we are the same BUT Toms school is open as normal I can see the normal 10 minute walk up the hill turning into a 30 minute trek...and, yes, this over protective mum will be walking her 11 year old all the way.......cars sliding about on the roads and all that

travellingwilbury · 02/02/2009 07:58

Well done you

I bet that walk with a load of 11 to 16 yr olds will just be one big snowball fight so good luck

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 02/02/2009 08:12

Morning all.

Big hug Shabs. We all have wobbles and we can't control when we have them. But you dealt with it. You know you can look after and care for Lewis, you've done it four times before.

Nice to see you FM

We have a stomach bug in our household. So it's been a bit of a crappy weekend. I think Mac had it first but a much milder version. However dh and I have been throwing up and I'm now developing some cold symptoms - oh joy!

Morning all, Lovely song Shabs........I have the meeting at school today (if it isnt cancelled again...............

shabster · 02/02/2009 09:04

I'm back!!! No buses seem to be running at all in our area. So I would imagine the normal 2,000 pupils at Toms school will be slightly less in numbers

We ended up with loads of kids tagging on with our trek!! Was all going well until one of them asked 'Do you have Tom while his Mum goes to work?' Only a couple of hundred snowballs being thrown! x

shabster · 02/02/2009 09:05

......oh yes and the other comment from the same cheeky bugger of a kid! 'Oh I thought you were his Gran!!'

lottiejenkins · 02/02/2009 09:23

for you Shabs xxxxxxxxxx

shabster · 02/02/2009 09:30

LOL Lottie - the area we live in is made up of hundreds of very, very young mums. The mum nearest in age to me at Toms school is 40 - so 12 years younger than me!! I am used to it now. I asked Tom last year did he mind having a much older Mum and Dad. He said it didnt bother him at all but said 'I just dont think it should be allowed that a very short Mum and a very short Dad should be able to have children!!!'

I am 4ft 11in and DH is 5ft 4in - must admit I snorted with laughter when he said it!

lottiejenkins · 02/02/2009 09:47

Lol at Tom............I'm hoping that the meeting might be cancelled today but not holding my breath........

shabster · 02/02/2009 09:50
