My toddler died today

My baby died today. I found him in his cot this morning. He was completely well yesterday and has no health problems. They are completing a post mortem today.
I don’t know what to do. Why would a healthy child just die? I have a 4 year old and don’t know how to handle it with him. Any advice welcome, I’m obviously a mixture of completely numb and a mess.

Just want to send my love OP. It feels empty to tell you how sorry I am, but I am so sorry. I can’t begin to imagine what you’re all going through.

See your GP if you can if you’re struggling with sleep and your mental health, I’m sure they will do whatever they can to support you. I have experienced the intense numbness following bereavement and the pain that follows - your experience will be your own but others who’ve been there can support you and I found it really helps.

I dare say a post mortem will give you facts but there is no answer as to why anyone should suffer such a loss. They shouldn’t.
