She had a planned surgery due. 2 days before she got admitted, ventilated and then passed away in picu 10 days later. Devastated and don't know what to do with myself.

Thank you.

Those links were really useful.

My mum has been over and tried to be helpful today.

Holly had cardiomyopathy.

My daughter died suddenly of dilated cardiomyopathy almost 2 years ago.... she was 18months old and she had been a healthy and happy child until then, or so we thought.

There are no words. But know that you are not alone and that you will survive. The first days and weeks are agony. The shock was so intense I just sat on the sofa willing time and the world to stop because my life had. It took me days to leave the house. You do eventually and while the pain never goes, know that it changes to become less raw (in my experience).

There are lots of websites, charities, helplines, etc which can help. Please get in touch if you'd like to talk or if you want more info.

With love, light and gentle hugs xo

I am so sorry. My husband has hypertrophic and my step mum dilated. It is a vile and cruel illness.

What a dreadful thing. I can't imagine what you must be suffering.

I have no good words but wishing you love and strength.
